I love watching your show your UFO’s. Now I don’t feel so bad about mine. You should check it out Shelly Robson at A Quilted Forest. She picks one UFO a month and attempts to finish it in the month. Those are some beautiful UFO’s.
Old friends are hard to ditch! Your projects are sew close to being tops! But the excitement of starting new is understood! It looks like social media influencers have done their job. Sometimes to get a finish without ditching the project I finish at a-small size. Good luck with all these beauties!
If no one has requested the homespun fabric and the lace fabric, I would like them. I will be happy to pay the postage. I make Christmas garland with the homespun and use different pieces of lace for Christmas ornaments. Thank you! Good to see that I am not the only one with shoe boxes of UFO’s. Mary Ninneman.
Your UFO projects are so well sewn and neatly stored. I’ve noticed in previous videos your patch work is beautiful. You have enough orphan blocks to make a few ‘Dave’ quilts! I watch him as well, I like the way he doesn’t overthink things, just gets it done! I think a lesson for all of us. Happy sewing and greetings from Australia 🇦🇺.
You have some great fun UFOs!! I think your christmas wedding ring might be a sleeper! Maybe a medium dark dusty blue so the rings pop forward. Your orphan block bucket tote is amazing. You’re so fun to watch :). TY for sharing with us!
New here,,,I enjoyed seeing how you store your quilting, projects ,I have been quilting about 12 years or so ,and I also have alot of projects on the go ,I am very frugal with my fabric and how I put my quilts together, I get my fabrics from quilt shops, thrift stores, yard sales, also use sheets for backings,,I see fabric and just want to bring it home ,,,BUT I have slowed down bring fabric home till I make more quilts. I longarm my own quilts too ,so always busy with some part of a quilt. I have just now stopped working after 34 years ,,,so quilting and sewing keeps me busy at home now. Your piecing is Beautiful ,,, Thank you for your video, I enjoyed watching!!
Great time I had watching you go through your totes . I do that often, rearranging things..then I can’t find them.donate your denim scraps, don’t throw away! I made curtains for my sewing room using my adding machine tape I had sewed scraps on after watching Kate at “the last homely house” utube, great scrap use. The sun shines through them and I have many memories of the fabric. I didn’t line or back them, just put binding around edges with sashing between rows. Used curtain clip on rings for hanging on tension rods.
Wow this could be me. I also have boxes with scraps and blocks in my sewing room also. You have given me a lot of ideas for projects with all my extra blocks, half square triangle blocks and lots more. And I love repro fabrics too! ❤
You make me smile. I'm glad to go on your sorting journey with you. The only problem is not being able to fondle and smell your fabric. Now off to do the same. Thanks for your channel
I make doll quilts and sometimes baby quilts. Because they are small, they finish quickly. Some of your blocks could make complete doll or baby quilts just with the number of blocks you already have. Then, whatever is left can go in your Dave quilt.
❤ It is hard to share, but we have a hard time letting go of. We all must Declutter pair down and then out from time to time and there are other Quilter’s. That will be delighted to run across your partially finished quilt.: I was tempted to ask for your laces and Rick rack to make doll clothes but will probably never get to it so it’s best you pass them on to someone who will be thrilled to find just that thing they needed. The laundry basket star quilt was incredibly gorgeous! You must be a master Quilter I encourage you to get your flimsy quilted and bound. They come alive once that happens and become heirlooms. Yours are well worth the investment.
Hi Jody! I would thrilled to receive your men's shirt fabric if it is still available. I have been wanting to do a shirt quilt for quite some time. I love all your items, you are an inspiration to us all!
Your sewing room with all your blocks and ufos make me feel better for not getting all my stuff done lol I wonder if dave can take your fabric blocks u are rehoming
You do beautiful work. I don't have a lot of UFOs but life has made me realize I've got to use the fabrics I've accumulated. Fully retired now and working on my stash.
New subscriber here. I was a participant in Margaret's 2nd and 3rd swaps too! Small world. I haven't even sewn the swap blocks. I can't believe it was so long ago. I need to get busy.
First, I can’t believe you are giving up on all those beautiful patterns! I can tell you sew very well! Please do not trash any of those fabrics, I find goodwill does well with craft fabrics. I would love the shirt fabrics. (KH) I will email you.
Thank you. There were quite a few people who requested the UFO fabrics. They've all been sent to others who will love them and hopefully use them in their projects.
Your work is very well.done and beautiful. But im personally getting anxious about my ufos and wondered if you feel urgency to finish your projects. If so, you could combine some projects.
I used to feel bad about starting a new project knowing that I had so many UFOs. This was before my battle with breast cancer. Just remember that life is too short. If starting a new project will make you happy....DO IT!! Never regret doing something that brings joy into your life.
@@QuiltSquirrel i met a lady who had cancer, who bought herself a very expensive machine. She said she was going to enjoy what time he had. She's recovered and has plenty of time now. 😊☺️

When I start a project, I have every intention of finishing them. But quite often I get squirreled onto a new shiny project. I truly love the process of making a quilt and wish I could make them all.

Nevermind a decent-sized quilt, that orphan block box has enough to make a pavillion for the garden 😊

I love the idea of cutting up 2.5-inch strips of paper and using it as foundation pieces. Good way of getting rid of old magazines
Your quilt blocks are all so beautiful

@@QuiltSquirrel noooo, food will spoil if not used 😀. My mom lives with me now. I learned a lot when we had to clear her place...so much fabric!
You encouraged me to do the same in my sewing room, thank you for the inspiration.

Someone said it's a quilt. I just came across this channel. She has some beautiful works in progress.
Thank you. I made the sad Emmett Kelly clown out of fabric. Love him.
@@QuiltSquirrel that is amazing!
Whois Dave? Does he have a you tube channel

Yes, his channel is called Daves Craftroom. Very creative guy. Love how he thinks.
