Don't know if you realized it or not, but the way that Dan made the song more epic was by singing the last verse (the most difficult part) twice just for fun. He can't do anything without pushing it further,

Dan always does what Dan does..a perfectionist, his performance has more emotion that some of the great Tenors that have sung this beautiful piece.
I've heard many men sing this song, and there have been some excellent tenors among them. But what Dan offers us here surpasses everything I've heard before, because he moves freely through the octaves with his beautiful voice and isn't constrained by rules that the world of music doesn't need.

Dan sang this in his garage, no Hi-Tech recording studio and no professional orchestra. Dan is right up there with the best opera singers. He is absolutely amazing. Many thanks for reacting to this one!
No, Dan actually records his audio in his office in the house. He records the video in his garage. He sings while recording the video, but its not what we hear in his final product. I know this for a fact because I asked him about this on a live show and he said this. He said if he recorded the audio in his garage it would be too echoey. His words. He said its how all videos are done.
Yes I know. I just didn’t want to go into all the particulars in the comments. Basically, what I was referring to was where he records the video itself. What I heard him say was, he records his vocals in a room in his house, then he sings it again while filming for the video but doesn’t use the vocals. He then matches the two up for the video itself. Sorry, but I thought this was to much info for the comment section.
Dan's voice is beautiful, his Italian pronunciation is excellent, and his classical technique is solid - so this is a more than respectable performance for a non-professional opera singer. I love it. His father's mother's family was Italian, so he heard Italian being spoken when he was young, and his father loved opera and especially this aria. He always pours so much emotion into his songs. You might also enjoy the duet Time to Say Goodbye, another beautifully sung classical piece. Or his crazy "one-man choir" version of Handel's famous Hallelujah Chorus (1741), where he sings all four parts in a chorus of 24 little boxes of Dans. It's great. Thanks so much for your comments! @sherryramirez6329 Yes, I know. I said his father's side was Italian (his father's mother's side). At the outro of "Time to Say Goodbye", Dan talked about his Dad's mother cursing at his dad in Italian. I wasn't sure if his father's Dad's side was also Italian or not.
Perfect. Passion is Dan's middle name 😆. His variable voice just fits every song. For me the best metal singer 🤘.... I hate these ratings... But still 10 out of 10 in this case for you too. And for Dan Vasc there is no number under 10 😉

What a masterpiece from Dan.
There are only a few singers and artists who can sing this song so beautifully, Dan is one of them.
He is 1/4 Italian and is also learning the language. He recently told us about it in a podcast.
As you may have noticed, he sings the last part again.

Dan knows some Italian because of his Dad's family & he's also sung in Italian in his Angels We Have Heard on High. He's recently begun fully learning conversational Italian, as well. That means he's able to speak in his native Brazilian Portuguese, is quite fluent in English now, & will be adding Italian soon. He's always in a state of learning & excelling. It's quite admirable. He's not just your average handsome guy, nor is he just another metal singer either. That's part of what makes us love him so much (add his hysterically funny sense of humor for good measure). It doesn't matter how many times I hear his Nessun Dorma. I get goosebumps every single time from head to toe. I saw Pavarotti in concert in the early 90s and was blown away when I recently heard Dan do such a phenomenal job. He does quite a bit of operatic, musical, folk songs. I adore artists who are as multifaceted as Dan. Thanks for your great reaction and support of Dan. I'd also recommend his operatic duet with Rhen Stillnight perfoming the Bocelli/Brightman song Time to Say Goodbye.😊

A brilliant rendition by Dan!❤❤ He really is phenominal! As someone else said, Dan has a lot of songs that aren't metalized. He has a super 80's playlist. Dan and his Father would listen to this and other operas in the car when they were driving around. His Father passed in 2017 and never got to see Dan achieve his goal of making a living off his singing on RUclips. Hence the emotion that Dan has in singing this.

If you want to see a different side of Dan, try 'The Last Goodbye' from the Hobbit. First listened to it shortly after my father passed and it brought me to tears. His two Elvis covers do the same thing to me.
They were for Dan’s father who passed way too. He did both just shortly after his dad passed away. His tears in both songs are very real.

As far as Dan’s rating…that is where I will struggle to meet a 10; because in my opinion a 10 is too small for the Vasc. This song is like pure gold. So, my number rating that I give Dan will need to be much, much higher…3.14159. The number of Pi representing infinity will be the number I select for Dan’s rating. Dan is spectacular! The late, great, famous Pavarotti sang this song. Dan sang this just as well, in my opinion. I believe this was Dan’s late father’s favorite Aria and if you look closely at the end it looks like he sheds a tear. Unfortunately his father passed from cancer in 2017 (ironically as did my Mom) so he wasn’t alive to watch his son achieve his dreams of singing. As his father was part Italian I am going to assume Dan can at the very least speak some Italian; if not fluently. He is my favorite singer and can’t get enough of his performances as well as reactions to his performances. He is in a league of his own. Especially with his performance of Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar. Dan seems to pour his soul in to every single performance. Hail VascNation ❤ #danvasc

I think you should listen to Dans version of the song "Gethsemane" from Jesus Christ Superstar. If you have not heard that yet.
Passion thank you I believe the original had the finale twice its not many people that had the wind Saw Pavarotti sing thiis and he struggled its just he was a popular guy lots better than him and DANS one
14/10. Sorry but he blows Luciano Pavarotti out of the water on this especially when he gives you the climax a second time.
Here's a tip for you:
Dan's cover of Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar 100% blows Ted Neely out of the water. In Gethsemane he doesn't just sing the song, he acts it out as though he was on stage in the rock opera.
I personally guarantee you will give Gethsemane a 10/10.
