The supernatural power of the sunlight, itself; the Lord’s blessing upon the earth… Anastasia is a spellbinding soul: her world-class technique makes her, truly, a rare virtuoso player; she is able to find ease with public performances. Good artists play music well; great artists become one with the music…, disassociating from the structures and rigidities that, invariably, have a way of fettering players to the inhibiting prism of self-consciousness. Anastasia is like a mercurial wild bird in flight, come the finale; one that gradually becomes rapturously unaware of its relationship between the mastery of both the inner and outer worlds it freely inhabits.
