Fantastic performance by both musicians. Additionally, that piano sounded glorious! Great job on setup and recording (thank you for the static shot). Bravo to all!
The beauty of this piece has to be the earnest quilting-point of a simple, lone string being plucked in the second movement (Sérénade: Modérément animé)… an abrupt sunflowering octave listing in a dark sea; perhaps, alluding to the ruptured shift in the continuum of the gyring cosmos above…a hint of springtime’s auspicious return… a memory of the first radiant bars of a sun’s lanterning flame that announces itself after the ordeal of winter has had its say - Debussy’s masterful play of theatrical tension… Could the finale (léger et nerveux) be reminiscent of the engulfing sempiternal lore of love’s eternal ballad of restoration? The supernatural power of the sunlight, itself; the Lord’s blessing upon the earth… Anastasia is a spellbinding soul: her world-class technique makes her, truly, a rare virtuoso player; she is able to find ease with public performances. Good artists play music well; great artists become one with the music…, disassociating from the structures and rigidities that, invariably, have a way of fettering players to the inhibiting prism of self-consciousness. Anastasia is like a mercurial wild bird in flight, come the finale; one that gradually becomes rapturously unaware of its relationship between the mastery of both the inner and outer worlds it freely inhabits.

Super cellist! Beyond the stars. Her dynamics and tone super. And enormous technique! Robert.
Amazing bow work! Your playing is both expressive and remarkably precise. What a combination!
Excellent rendition. Bravo! Debussy's music benefits from a tastefully dispassionate and precise approach like this, in my opinion

ooo nice camera angle I can show my students the movement of the bow up & down to create effects yet still nice and parallel.
