- This week I single hand my Narrowboat The Rum Wench towards Northwich for the NOW festival. Cruising through the stunning Cheshire countryside from Vale Royal Lock down through Hunts Lock. Bonny my little rescue French bulldog gets more training to improve her socialising skills and I find a charity shop bargain.

After selling my house to experience an alternative lifestyle I bought a canal boat and a camper van which as a solo female who loves to travel, gives me the best of both worlds. I have recently got myself a new addition to the crew, a fabulous companion - my little rescue dog Bonny who is an absolute joy and the perfect First Mate. I also work full time off grid from my tiny home and trade at canal festivals as The Narrowboat Pirate aboard The Pirate Boat.

There was a young pirate called Heidi ; Who kept her boat, clean, neat and tidy ; We'd chug a chug chug ; With Bonny the pug ; And i'd catch up with her vlog on the friday. Great to see Bonny doing so well. Thought i'd try and get in early, just in case you do some more of those great finishing limmericks, from the rear entrance again.

😂 dust gatherers, that's what I call that sort of thing. When my ex wife first moved in with me she said "where's all your stuff", I replied " ornaments just make it harder to dust". She of course filled the place with junk 😂. Thanks for the vid Heidi.

I think that's the first time I've seen you without a hat or hair band, and you have hair! It's nice to see what's happening in the U.K. having moved away 15 years ago you tend to loose touch, especially with festivities, which are totally different here. I particularly loved the Beer stand, only the one customer 😂

Love that old crane
I was definitely in need of a sit down break with my feet in a massage machine.. Last night at session I was able to use my little finger for bar chords and playing melodies. First time in almost two years that I have been able to do bar chords on the guitar. Thanks again for taking us along. It's finally green here. Potato patches ready for planting.

Another lovely vlog, and I am really glad that Bonny is tolerating other dogs. I enjoy going boating with Mum, because of the ever changing scenery (and if the neighbours from hell moor up next to you it is just a matter of pulling up the pins and heading off elsewhere. That event looked like a lot of fun. If you want to sample some unusual music try looking up "The Casablanca Steps".
When I am at the local launderette I pop to the charity shop to browse. Sometimes I don't find anything interesting, but often I do.
Have you heard the latest conspiracy theory doing the rounds? It appears that there aren't any conspiracy theories, but the conspiracy theorists are covering that up.

Hi Heidi! I’m in Milton Keynes and not far from Crick but I can’t convince my husband to drive me to the boat show so that I can hopefully met all of my canal mates on n person, that would tick that off my bucket list. Instead I will get to see the Anderton boat lift and the Weaver on Tuesday! We’re off to Garstang so we’ll detour. I’d loved to have seen Captain Gary have his pink beard shaved off. Hello Heidi .. I really enjoy your intro to your videos. You talked about going to a boat show and not being able to afford a new boat, we can all afford to go and look and see what is out there and definitely if there is a charity event involved. Bonny has made major strides in socialization. Her breed tends to be a bit on the bouncy side so she is doing amazing settling in and trusting that you will keep her safe. Sorry about the RUclips copyright hit - - maybe put your finger over the mic on the camera when music is being played and a caption on the video saying sound off to avoid copyright infringement?? I think all pirates have gypsy blood in them as well as pirate blood ... you are no exception ... you have chosen the perfect way to just take off and go and experience things and take us with you. Bonny's doing well with her anxieties - as I said before, my Candy used to attack other dogs, but she was over that in about 18 months/2 years and is now much more sociable with other dogs.
