Same here your are me three years ago. There's lot of other camping channels but Andrew (this channel) is the best. He is down to earth and his style of filming for me personally is the best
same i go strealth camping in the late part of the year when its wind and rain and gets dark really early so i go in dark at about 8, nothing like the sound of rain on a good tent and most people wont go out in the wind and rain so your safer. i couldnt even consider summer camping with hot weather and light nights.
Because of your videos , which i have watched as many as i can, i bought a seven person tent and im determined to go camping with my family this year!!!
With cotton tents, back in the day, we were told never to touch the inside or the outside of a tent once it had started raining, as it would break the surface tension of the droplets and cause them to soak through the fabric. I am not sure whether this applies with polyester, but I think that towelling the condensation off the inside is likely to cause it to leak. The bigger problem is probably the lack of covered vents, not the 400mm proofing. Camping under trees tests the proofing of a tent as the droplets are often bigger, coalescing in the trees and attacking as gangs.
I’ve stumbled across your channel by pure chance recently, and I think it was fate.I’ve had PTSD since I was 18(now46)and I also have depression, which means I spend a lot of time indoors at home, and that is what I hate about it,I’ve always loved the outdoors(usually out fishing). You’ve inspired me to start collecting some basic camping gear(will take I while on my very small budget)but I’ll get there….youve sparked something inside me…..so i just wanted to say thank you!
@HotelOneZero I also have PTSD and these videos allow me to go camping without fear. Until the day I grow the courage to set out and go camping on my own (or with friends)
and fruit teas too (orange, blueberry, strawberry to name a few!) not forgetting other types like mint etc. these are just bag in cup, add hot (or cold!) water and wait a bit then drink
Love watching your content. Pleasant, not overtly dramatic like some camping channels that seem to put themselves in danger. Honest with the gear you test out. Thanks for everything. Camping is a bit rough where I live -South Texas. ( Husband and I had the misfortune of testing a new tent in the aftermath of a hurricane ...LOL) I love watching your channel.
I love camping even though I don’t always go. But I also love watching people camping, glamping, anything of the sort. Your videos are so calming and therapeutic! Sometimes I fall asleep to them ♥️ I’d be interested in seeing how you clean your cooking utensils and pack your backpack !!
I just discovered you and your videos a few days ago and have already watched so many of them. It's really nice to see a fellow solo-camper around my age also going out an enjoying nature. And I've learned a decent bit about processing wood. So, thank you. That's all - it's been a pleasure.
Awesome! Can't wait to watch Saturday morning.....before I head off for that rare Saturday shift....I can't believe I offered! Thanks for some of the best content on the web! Cheers from the Prairies of Canada! 🍻🇨🇦⛺️
as someone who used to live at the beach, that tent is really nice for a day at the beach to get out of the sun for a nap or change clothes in and maybe even a little private time with your significant other
Any tent that has a built in floor is great for me, no creepy crawling things can get inside, you can always use a waterproof tarp over it to make sure you stay dry, I always camped rustic no glamping but our old canvas tent had a floor and three rooms for the kids and dog, no snakes or bugs for us in our youth.
Once we had moved away from the bell tent or army pup tent that had to be proofed with stuff called "YAK", waterproofing, worked really well once dried, but smelt like cats pee when treating canvas. Got my first independent tent in a sale at a knock down price because it had been "Water damaged", in a flood in the shop.Pure luxury, sewn in groundsheet, nylon ripstop, waterproof in thunderstorms, went round Europe, picking grapes, strawberries etc in 1970s. I laughed when i got it as just about every time we went camping it always rained anyway. Too old now, prefer my comfy bed and duvet.
I’m not an outdoorsy person and I don’t like camping but Ive just found your channel and I just love watching you camp and try out new tents and items! Maybe after watching more It’ll change my mind about camping 😅
I love your videos so much. I tend to watch them as I'm falling asleep because I find the sounds and your positivity very relaxing. Also I get some amazing recipe ideas from you!
One of your best videos as of late. Really good to see you self camping and getting away from a vehicle for a change. Not that I mind the vehicle but it's cool to see you be more peron camping.
Only just come accross your video's and i love the fact that you have a great variety of equipment to show us and you don't swear like a trooper lol. Been spending a few days going through your video's . Great work, you just got yourself another subscriber. Thank you for sharing.
I am NOT a fan of the inexpensive camping gear, but experience has told me that no matter what tent you chose, if it is going to rain the smart thing to do is tarp it! I have owned many brands of canvas tents from Coleman to the Pomoly tents that you use, and they have all leaked when given enough rain and moisture. And they all condensate in higher humidity situations. Cheers from Pennsylvania Andy!
Need to order from "One Tigris." Cats hate rain... ^-^ P.S. This is a joke, not intended as a product endorsement. Although from everything i have seen online, multiple people seem to really like their products. Do your research, before you buy! Or just order something from Finland, the Finns seem to get harsh weather gear, and don't trifle with substandard products.
@@jeromethiel4323 They might be ok, I have other products from One Tigris that have been hit or miss, but I would still use a tarp with ANY tent. Electronic gear is not cheap, and I have been fooled before by claims of so-called waterproof gear (regardless of the brand or manufacture). I do research products when possible and I try not to buy substandard products. In the past 45+ years (I started camping on my own when I was 12) I have owned somewhere in the neighborhood of 30-40 tents from as many companies from all over the world and found them all to have their pros and cons, but none have been completely waterproof or condensation resistant even with vents. Thanks for the info and God bless!
Great video, That little tent though lol, I like the chair very comfy I'm sure when it's the right way round lol, The food looked yummy as always too, Thanks for sharing, take care 👍
Fantastic camp fantastic video keep the grey work up and delicious food great cooking. Look forward to your next video. Your friend Luke from the UK. 🇬🇧
I really look forward to seeing your videos popping up. They always cheer me up. Camping is something i have always wanted to do. But being wheelchair bound its not so easy to just go into the woods and pitch a tent up. I wish it was that's why i watch you, i can just pretend im there 😂😂
Nice video Andy, I'm glad it didn't come a down pour on you. I thought it was a nice little tent for the beach...it would be good maybe to block the sun off the kids for a nap or something. Thank you for sharing and going to the trouble for us. Have a good week young man, Blessings to you 🙏 🕊 💜
Hello, Andy, from Utah! I presume the new stove boiled your h2o rapidly. You're lucky to have a mate who saws bits of fallen Ash for you. I'm impressed with your splitting technique. That axe is a gem! Your meal looked wonderful as well! Funny sort of tent though. Thanks for saving me the trouble of getting one. Cheers mate.
Just lovely to sit there and listen to the birdsong. Pity the tent was not strong enough for any sensible camping, but you did do a test run. Always enjoy watching your adventurous cooking skills, Andy! Very impressed.....
New to your channel. One thing I love is that no matter the adversity, you have a smile and chuckle. We can learn a lot from you. Is that a Thai dish, by the way?
Heyy Andy guess you like it there lol it's beautiful, nice setup so peaceful you're always getting wet, food looked delicious another awesome video stay safe
You are always a fresh breath of air to watch. I always look forward to your videos. It always makes me feel good when I'm watching you. Awesome video as always. Looking forward to the next one. ❤
When using any summer tent for overnight camping, putting a ridgeline and tarp over the top is always a good idea. Even if it doesn't rain, it helps prevent condensation build up.
Thanks for the videos- I love your channel and the more unusual purchases shall we say! If you’re willing to talk about it it would be really interested to hear you tell the story of how you came to use these woodlands for camping and how you got into doing this for a living.
One of my favourite RUclips channels ,always interesting to watch and allways real,no nonsense,..brilliant Andy, look forward to the next one !! ....All the best from Ruskington Lincs
Thanks Andy for another review, the seat looks good, bed matt without comment is great. Tent, hmmm, maybe I'd try it knowing I've a big tarp to hang over in a summer group camp. Always great, content, thank you for taking your time.
Every time I see your camp fire I wonder if it smells like they do here in Australia..probably not bit it sure evokes the sense..eucalyptus leaves smell amazing
during the war, our tent was simply a tarp and a hammock, if it was too inconspicuous you wouldn't have time to counterattack. at the cambodia border, we set up camp nearby and were attacked many times and had to leave our shelter behind, thank you for reminding me of those memories
started watching these camping videos despite never camping and i lowkey cant stop they are so nice to have on

You really should try it, if you are able to. You don't need much to get started; use things from home, then if you enjoy it, upgrade over time.
Same here, there's just something so comfortable about his voice and positive attitude. Add a backing track of woodland sounds and it's ideal.
he has a very soothing voice and way of narrating
@@bridgetoofar yesss!! he seems like such a genuine guy and its so relaxing
You chopping wood and cooking on an open fire just never gets old. Thanks honey.
You, chopping wood and cooking?! Very Appealing! Mucho Manly!❤
I really find rainy camps better than sunny camps it’s so calming and you know there is less chance of coming across people great video as always Andy
Rain 🌧️ sounds make me sleep better. I don't like getting to hot 🥵 🌡️in spring/ summer weather so camping when it rains is okay

His name is actually Andy. Kent is presumably where he's from
Me too. I hit like first😊
There is nothing wrong with 'low key'! A lot of people, including myself, watch your videos to relax. So keep em coming!
I'm not British and I don't really like tea, but watching you make a cuppa makes me want one, EVERY TIME.
There are so many teas and flavours and ways to brew surely there must be one to take your fancy.

It doesn't appear that he adds milk to it..
I tend to make bedtime hot chocolate (low sugar format with daVInci sugarless syrups) nowadays because of these videos.
I don't drink much beer anymore but I have to see if the local can't get me some Neck Oil!
Jak ja Chłopa Szanuję! Biwak, super ujęcia, konkret jedzenie i kraftowe pivo 👍
Great content, I love the sound of the rain in the forest and on the tent. I would happily listen to a whole hour of that!
FYI: there are many vids on RUclips with the sound of rain, storms, ocean etc that go on for hours, just to sleep too, it actually works too 👍

Hey Andy, Thanks for another relaxing outdoor adveture and thanks for adding "vestibule". to my vocabulary.
