I would have to take a "silent partner" to move the camera around for me! 😂😂 He is so committed to this just for all the times he moves that camera and redoes his motions on camera for us!
I am in a different environment than you, here in western Pennsylvania in the U.S., but our forests are similar to yours, so I always learn something from you. Plus, I always enjoy your kind demeanor, your respect for the forest, and your enthusiasm for the woods. Be safe, and enjoy the forest!
Stumbled upon your videos and been finding myself lying in bed watching these before I go to sleep. Great videos Andy. Enjoying the outdoors and nature from the comfort of my home. Keep up the good work.
your weird camping setups with the weird/different tents brought me to the channel and i have enjoyed. Felt you had some actual skill behind the "fun" stuff and its nice to see you do indeed have bushcraft skill. Never doubted it but nice to see for someone new to the channel. Your bushcraft is great, your cooking is great, your weirdness to do something different is great, your personality is great.
The big leaf pinned to the round with your knife is such an excellent idea. Ive never seen it before and it's mind-blowing in its simplicity! Great video, Andy. Love watching you.
Yeah but he speaks a foreign language. This might help, Ok, new translation coming up for all the English speakers out there. Here we go. Fink = Think, Eevver = Either, Somefing = Something, Fornhill = Thornhill, Wivv = With, Fin = Thin, Slivvers = Slithers, Someink = Something, Togevver = Together, Froo = Through, Free = Three, Fing = Thing, Finkin' = Thinking, Wiff = With, Ovver = Other, Frills = Thrills, Fank you = Thank you, Anovver = Another, Somefink = Something, Levver = Leather. I did lose count to the times "Fink" was used. Just wondering, is this the way kids are taught to speak in schools In Engerland?. I fink it's time to go, Fanks and bye for now.
@@davidgray2163you’ve got 24 comments on this channel. If you hate it that much, why on Earth are you still watching it? Who deliberately watches something that they claim angers them as much as this does you?
@@davidgray2163 It is great that you think you’re such a genius. His use of slivers is absolutely correct. A sliver is a small, thin piece of something cut or split off a larger piece. He was making slivers of wood. How would slithers have made any sense there?
Great video Andy. Just heard that Dartmoor wild camping to resume after appeal win. The public can wild camp in Dartmoor again without landowners' permission after the National Park Authority won their appeal case.
Good day Andy so glad you have made another wonderful video. Thank you so much. I watch them over and over, never get tired of them. God bless you and keep up the great work.
Hi Andy, hope this video finds you well. You always have the best campfire recipes. Makes me want to go camping with you, lol.Great video as always. Thanks for all your hard work. D
In Australia we have, King Brown snakes, death adders, inch ants scorpions trap door spiders, how I envy the lush British landscape, I love your camera work on the details of nature, cheers mate, from an Ancestral European trapped in the Desert. From Adelaide Australia 🇦🇺
Nice Andy! Been busy with house work lately so no much camping. But went last night for a beach camp on my own, had some Kent potatoes and chicken 😀. Peace, Phil. Gosport UK
I accidentally came across this channel and was captivated for a few weeks and watched a few videos. Now the adventure of camping is alluring and I'm passed the age of enjoying it but I am however past the stage of enduring endless hours of wood sawing and chopping. As soon as I see that dreaded saw appear I fast forward only to be bored by the bedtime hot chocolate.
I find the bedtime hot chocolate to be the most comforting part of the video! It helps me settle in as I watch this before bedtime. I imagine myself in my own favorite camping spot, preparing for the adventure of sleep, with the lullabies of the birds and other critters. These have become my favorite videos.
I enjoy your content, it’s entertaining and informative. It’s also so nice to hear the natural sounds and no music. Try your Apple dish with sausage or bacon!
Great video Andy! You and Simon battle of the ovens tonight! Nice to see your simpler old school camps, without the technology and vehicles etc.. and who doesn't love an oily Poussin? 😬
OMG! I didn’t know what Andy was calling the chicken. @mickybetts…, thank you for spelling it. But I find it repulsive. You say who doesn’t love an oily poussin; I say I DON’T! Who wants to eat a creature that didn’t get to live even a full month?! I’m no longer a vegetarian; in fact I eat carnivore. But not baby creatures. Andy, I’ve enjoyed all of the cooking vids I’ve seen of yours, except for this one. I think I’ll keep the memory of your hot chocolate in my mind, instead. 🙂
The technique of building a woodcraft bed based on some supple brush is too little demonstrated these days. I have been admiring your hat off and on for several years. It is of a high-quality felt and is properly stitched around the brim edge. Perhaps you could provide a link to the maker/seller.
I was really dubious when I saw the sprung mattress…. But as soon as I saw the memory foam topper I knew we were in good hands 😂😂 the only thing missing was a hot cross bun hotdog, anyone else remember that ?🤢😂 Great vid Andy, for me, there’s something therapeutic about making pegs. Liking the look for that reflector oven as well.
Not sure how I've missed watching this one because I never miss an episode, or so I thought! LOL! I do love it when there is a good bit of real bushcraft going on - creative cover, making your own pegs and bed. Enjoyable to watch. Also, the forest morning sounds are wonderful! the little birds and the doves and whatever else that is out there. I think I heard a woodpecker as well. Your little poussin looked wonderful! My air fryer at home is one of the toaster oven styles, and it has a rotisserie in it, so I love doing a cornish hen in there. Yes, they always turn out so juicy and tender!!
Who needs Ray Mears when yr in the wood surviving, when there’s a Andy about. Makes shelter a bed ok not that comfy lol and cooks😋. Nice one Andy. Maxx
Great video as always. The reflector oven really did shine, and it fit the era camp gear. Really like the living cutting board with the bark still attached and the growth rings really make it quite unique. Keep up the good work!
Always enjoy your videos! I must say the cream in the egg triggered me. Viscosity my dear LOL Butter will make it creamy, milk makes it watery. But if you made it I would chow it down. Have the best week!
My wife and i have been binge watching you for a few months and I have to compliment you on your content and style. I've been enjoying the outdoors for all of my 68 years and I've learned a few tips watching you. Cheers and best of luck!
Great video, Andy. That reflector oven worked very well both for the chicken and the breakfast loaf. Made me hungry just looking at them! Sleeping on sticks and boughs sounds cool, but is not nearly as comfortable as it sounds. You are a true bushcrafter to give it a go anyway.
Nice reflector oven. We used to use old, deep, metal biscuit tins (Victoria etc) back in the day. Baked in them and made charcloth. Good video. Thanks.
Man I wish I could do open shelters like that where I live, you'd be covered by a cloud of mosquitoes before you even closed your eyes, repellant or not! Love your content man!
the camera work, and editing, for your videos is really impressive, the amount of work put into each video is really evident, and appreciated.
Yessssss ❤ Agreed!!!!!
I fully agree!😊
I was thinking exactly the same thing as I was watching the video and then saw your comment 😃
I was thinking the same thing , I’m so happy watching his videos , is my third and I’m so relaxed, and wanting to go camping 🏕️.
I would have to take a "silent partner" to move the camera around for me! 😂😂 He is so committed to this just for all the times he moves that camera and redoes his motions on camera for us!
I tell you what Andy mate. You make all this wild camping 🏕 and cooking 🍳 look so easy on RUclips but I know it's not so keep up the great work 👍
Hats off to the most affable bush crafter in the UK! The way you got that bird to simmer in its own juices in the reflector was excellent!

Thank you for bringing me along. I sat at work while watching you.
Brilliant to see you back Andy 👍🏻
Hello Andy, we really enjoy your videos. Your bushcraft and bush baking skills are impressive.
Simon also used his homemade reflector oven while baking the bread in his latest video.
Was having a bummer of a day, this has cheered me up, thank you
It’s unbelievable how well that reflector oven works, especially to me,it seemed far away from the fire!! You can cook anything ,anywhere…amazing!!!!💞👏
I am intrigued by the reflector oven. Seems like it shouldn't work, but the bird looks 👍.
My favorite time of the week. Thanks Andy.
What a boytjie. Luv your posts, have been following for close to 2 years. True gentleman. Blessings from South Africa 🇿🇦
Full on Bushcraft mode 🤠
Your breakfast looks delicious. great idea. Will be making this on next camping trip.

Great job on the video Andy
Love th vid. You and Simon BITW must have compared notes. Both used fat wood to start and cooked in a reflector oven. Love it.
