      Yea it breaks armor. I think it's the strongest actual attack in the game because of how invincible it is, it just has a lot of startup and you can reaction block it, it can also be parried/perfect parried.

    I really love this game as it is now and there is very little that I would change. Drive Rush, Drive Impact, and Drive Reversal are things I wouldn’t touch. We haven’t played the game enough to see where balance changes are needed but with the little that I’ve played and what I’ve seen, I think the game is spectacular.

    Great video man, I was watching the part where you mentioned you'd cover parry and thought it would be important to mention drive reversal can be used after parrying as well and because it has throw invicibilty would be an option for tick throw pressure

    Aside from the one situation of stopping cancels into drive rush, but even that I found a little tough to do because if you're too slow they can actually block in time, like if they do say cr.MK drive rush into cr.LP, that in itself isn't easy to drive reversal. The pressure in this game is structured in a way where where it's not always telegraphed nonstop block pressure, those are just lights. Another thing too is because if it doesn't come out you just get a drive impact which gets punished easy. Punishable on block, 2 drive, little grey damage, kind of slow honestly, it's like you always want to get your rocks off in SF6 landing damage and drive reversal does none of that.

      What I found helpful was doing it as soon as the green flash hits the screen. If you don’t do it during that time, you’re screwed.
      I’m not sure if it will hit if they go for a light instead of a medium, but I can’t really test it out until the beta comes back.
      The only thing that really sucks is it being - on block. It already costs 2 bars, so it should at least be 0 on block, but then again it also isn’t throwable….
      Idk, we will see if any changes come up in the next test

      @@twistedrivera Ive tested it out, believe me it's fast you have to be so quick to the point where now you are just anticipating it. The drive rush flash is evident but the game does freeze for a few frames, you still have to be very fast.
      If that's how the game ships, there might come a point where all the strong players can reaction into it, but if you aren't fast it can really hurt because you waste 2 meters AND you are in a punish counterstate, that means losing more drive and a big punish.
      Fixing it, definitely shouldn't be 0, it can be like -4 or -5 for a minor punish, it should be sped up a lot but not to the point where it can beat everything in the game. Technically I think Drive Reversal is the strongest actual attack in the game it blows through all invincibility and beats armored attacks like drive impact.
      Idk, I put a lot of time into SF6 and based on what I see, you really want to look at drive as a potential damage bar, drive reversal just doesn't do any damage and it's situational to use well. I'd honestly rather just block whatever than waste the 2 drive, I personally only used it when I had a huge life lead to push them off me.

    you should mention that its fully invicible. can't be tick thrown, just more minus on block in SF6 (as in you can punish it if you bait it out)

    Actually many were using Drive Rush the last beta, maybe not lower level players but most after platinum were using Drive Rush, both regular Drive Rush which I recommend alot and Drive Rush cancel which is too expensive and will be used mostly for combos and in some sutiations if you want to keep pushing the oponent

    Well nice, I barely saw anybody using this, good to know now this mechanic may not be as bad as people assume.....the only down side is how much it cost, damn it cost 2 bars but you got to be blocking meaning that you also lose half of a bar depending what hit you, I think this could cost a little less, some mechanics in this game cost too much bars for what I can see, it makes sense for drive rush cancel, but I hope they make defensive mechanics like these less costly. Anyway super helpful video.

    These mechanics, in addition to being visually impactful and beautiful, remind us of Street Fighters Alpha, which for me are the pinnacle of Street mechanics, but with the simplicity of 2, which is what impressed me unlike the Alphas here I caught it faster and it was the Street that I caught faster, for me at the beginning it already surpassed the 5 in several aspects, finally it is no longer a grabbing and flying game with a weak punch, now Street 5 has improved a lot, but the beta of 6 was a crazy thing I don't feel like playing 5 because of the Drive mechanics.

      yes. but only the heavy version which starts in 28f, so it's even more reactable than drive impact.

    So for all those who didn't Crack the beta, getting the all game mechanics into muscle memory well be key. Probably the one reason going from 4 to 5 seem off for me and why I never stuck with 5 that much.

      Definitely more useful than vreversal in that respect but the fact that it's punishable on normal block is worrying.

    Not really fair that Drive reversaling a drive rush cancel costs you 2.5 bars, to their 3.
    Drive rush from parry is a simple NJP punish (afaik)
    Seems there are still teething and balancing issues anyway.
    i expect Drive impact to only have 2 armour hits on launch or if not, will be reduced shortly after.

      DI does have 2 hits of armor. The last one breaks it. You mean one hit of armor ?
      Also for your first sentence, is it unfair for DReversal or DRush ?

      it cost 2.5 bars to get them away from you where it costs them only 3 to keep the pressure and force a 50/50 while still being safe and plus.

      I doubt it, but it’s a possibility. Throwing out a poke during an opponent who is drive rushing is an immediate punish counter (if I recall correctly).
      It’s not overpowered, just have to get used to reacting to it, just like drive impact

      @@cyberking8814 of course not because it's obvious the game is built around in neutral, in combos. If it's a glitch why does the AI do it? You take that off the game becomes 10X more dry.
