Ahoy, thanks for the video. This performance reminds me of my Cybernet All-in-one office computer. It had great specs for the time except for the Atom D525 CPU with Intel GMA3150 GPU. It ran LibreOffice perfectly and was good for reading web pages and PDF docs. But the graphics were terrible. RUclips at 480p skipped ~20% frames; any higher was a slide show. So it is on my collection shelf now. Cheers, daveyb PS: I got the new Evolve III Maestro 11G with the Celeron N4120 4c Gemini Lake CPU and UHD 600 GPU. It runs circles around the N3150 model. db
This igpu is still faster than what i used to play on in 2018-2019,i had a nvidia geforce 8400gs revision 2 with 256mb of ddr2 vram and only 8 cuda cores and i can stay that still igpu is faster in all the games presented
3:30 this is very interesting because I remember getting decent fps at low preset on my i3-380 on 1366x768. are you sure you disabled portal recursion?
I have Asus X52J SE as a retro gaming PC,i3 370m, 6GB ram, radeon HD 5470M 512 MB, All games about 1998-2005 works fine like gothic 2, Heroes V, Neverwinter 1 i 2, Morrowind, also I can comfortable play games even like Dragon Age origins, Kings Bounty legends, so this is very nice old setup especially when you treat it like a retro computer with windows XP or win 7, Win 10 is too much for it
1:58 actually I benchmarked my i3-380 laptop against lg g2 from 2014. On laptop I run android x86 project and lg g2 would beat it at cpu and gpu tests. I don't remember the exact benchmark software but it had a chinese game like destiny in it. i3-380 had the shadows glitched although performance wasn't terrible
I have old laptop Asus with i3 370m + Nvidia 310M 1Gb + 8Gb + SSD with Windows 10 LTSC. 14 years old and it still not bad like "third retro PC" for docs, media, simple games and NES emulator etc :D Im going upgrade it by i5 560m but its just my "closure"
Come on dude, that laptop was never meant to be used for gaming. I was expectig the opinion from someone who tested the laptop for actual Office and multimedia tasks and with 4GB of RAM? you have to be kidding me. OH, btw.... for the people who might be interested in the ACTUAL question... yes Its absolutely capable even with windows 11 but Id recoomend to install 8gb of RAM in total and a nice 256GB Sata SSD to havce a nice experience. (Tested on a Packard Bell EasyNote TK85, the exact same computer as the one shown in this video)
This can run Windows 10 just fine. Windows 11 not so much, as you need to hack the installer to even install it. Once it is installed, it does work fine, but you don't get the big updates.
@@digitaljon1109 i installed Windows 10 on the hdd of toshiba c660 after upgrading ram to 8gb it was horrible if i instal win 10 on ssd will it run fine ? TNX.

If i want to upgrade with core i5 or core i7 .... which processor that compatible with socket rpga 989 ? ... i want to know and recommendations ... thanks before
It really depends, does your laptop have an IGPU? Or is it's only IGPU the one on the CPU? I ask as some of the i7's (the 4 core ones) don't have an IGPU, so it will only work if your laptop has a separate IGPU. But all the dual core i7's should work fine. Also, the CPU socket is "PGA988". Sorry for the late reply, I was on vacation, got back, was taking time off, and I am back now! ;p Also here is a list of all the CPU's on that CPU socket. www.cpu-world.com/Sockets/Socket%20G1%20(rPGA988A).html

lmao, i do have the more "better" cpu, its i3 380M and its running on linux with 4 gb ram on 1333, i use hdd because its already slow so why not, it "run" for any given task, just slow, it screaming by only watching 1080p youtube video, but hey, it a 64bit cpu so it still can install the newest app,

That is a good sign!
Damn, good video, first gen i3 do be getting be like a Celeron these days, but newer Celerons can be a little bit better than the 1st gen i3 haha
My modern LGA 1700 Intel Pentium G7400 (same CPU socket as the i9 13900K), beats the i7 3770 by quite a lot even.
How do I make the processor speed to its maximum?

I find Windows 10 runs just as good as Windows 7 did. But in terms of gaming, good point! Older games/retro games should run a lot better! 🍪

i7 640m is the best upgrade for the socket did you end up doing it

Probably, and also a GPU with some sort of dock.

Yes! 64 Bits is a must in 2023! Windows 10 does have a 32 Bit version, but sadly a lot of stuff won't even work on it.
I wonder how this would change in Linux
