Interesting as ever- I had this machine’s sibling as a student. Worth noting that cpus of this age have lower recommended operating temperatures than anything from the last 7-8 years. Some desktop i5’s from this generation aggressively throttle out at 80-90 degrees Celsius, but the 430m’s maximum safe operating temperature is 105 degrees - they knew this thing would be like putting hot lava on your lap!

Epic story: when i was a child i never had a good desktop so i used a laptop for more than 10 years and i "enjoyed" it.
Same, but i had a potato pc (e5700,with g41 express clipset😂) still enjoyed with it for 7 years

I've always played games on my laptops. Never had a desktop. I'd say it is ok to have a gaming laptop instead of a desktop. The only thing I'd like to point out is that you have to keep an eye on your laptop's gpu/cpu temps cause mobile PCs tend to overheat more often than desktops

I remember having a laptop with a GeForce GO 7400 in like 2011.
This is like a Supercomputer compared to that GPU. It could not run Cod 2 in directX 9 and it wasn’t able to get 30 fps in minecraft but I could run games like far cry 1, Star Wars battlefront 2 (2005) and half life 2

| used to play CS GO on a laptop with core 2 duo t6600,Nvidia 310m 512mb,4gb ram and indeed it was much more playable back then,I managed to play it at 720p low with around 50-60fps,I'm surprised how intensive this game is now.

valorant is very taxing on the cpu my previous pc was a laptop with an I5 M520 and an AMD Radeon HD 5000 series and the cpu was always pegged at 100% and i was getting 30 fps

This is the beauty of PC gaming, in my disgustingly humble opinion. I finished DA2, Skyrim..with Intel HD. Even using things like HiAlgo Boost to squeeze some more performance. Every PC could be a high end and a low end, depending on what type of work/games you are doing and how old it was.
The thumbnail looks great because there is your face in the laptop monitor😂, Anyway your videos always made my day kryzzp👍.
This video was also very nostalgic for me as well. I used to play on a netbook
I played on a 310m for most of my life, and when I built my first pc with a gt 710, it was a god of a gpu in my eyes

THE BEST RUclipsR EVER
Well, not bad really. I've brought to life my first ever laptop. 2 cores, 2 threads and Intel Graphics Media Accelerator. Even back in 2009 it was pretty unusable in anything other than browsing and some light games. After some upgrades and some custom drivers it's pretty ok now for browsing and even RUclips.
The ending when you closed the laptop was so dramatic and cool.

You should try the old dust 2 from csgo, the version you played is the remake from 2017, which is way more detailed and heavy for the gpu.

Far cry 3. My 2012 Sony vaio with i5 2450m and Radeon 7550 was able to play it.🥱🥱 Brings back the good old memories ☺️

Very, beautiful video! I have a laptop with a i7 7500u, 940mx and 8gb ram and on the new version on minecaft java edition the lag is too much the cpu is always at 100% also with optifine too optimize the cpu usge and minium setting. Unfortunalety the optimization are very bad

I'm actually shocked how well Minecraft ran even with the low graphics and it being a simple game
Especially considering how tough that game can be. My 2070S gets murdered by that thing with shaders.
He is playing on bedrock edition. Bedrock edition is very well optimized for low end devices. In the other hand, java edition is poorly optimized.

Bedrock is made for mobile, and laptop or computer is far stronger than a mobile devices, beside the game is very optimized, though if i have that laptop i’d happily play Java edition, mods do exist you know, and so do tricks and ways to improve performance drastically, after all Java is still a whole lot better despite both version being the same game, and that “better” is really depends on how you look at it
@@lord_khufu ye theres performance tweaks and mods which defo help on java but when your playing on hardware from 2010 bedrock is just better for performance regardless

Yes u can, i got Dell xt3 Intel HD 3000, and i play GTA and APB reloaded :) really fun stuff!!
Among Us took quite a bit of the GPU usage because the game is actually in a 3D engine. It uses 3D to tell whats in front of each other. It also uses it as an easy way to have menus a layer higher than in game or in another menu. The clothes are oh so slightly above the actual characters which explains a tiny glitch where if your inside someone sometimes your clothes go on top of them but your character doesn't.

I'm personally familiar with two low-end laptops. Actually more like one of them is bottom-end. One is the AMD A6-3420M with the Radeon HD 6520G. Back in 2012 it was relatively decent for a laptop. It played stuff like Dota 2 and CSGO pretty well. It was an upgrade over my Pentium 4 1.7 Ghz desktop so that I can play TF2 (which I was quite into at the time. Even back then the Pentium 4 just couldn't handle TF2). Something like 40-45 fps medium settings at 768p. These days it struggles with those at lowest settings at 768p and gets avg 30 fps.
My other laptop? The AMD E-300 with the Radeon HD 6310 iGPU. So weak its performance is comparable to a Pentium 4 (and is weaker than the highest-end Pentium 4s, the hyperthreaded ones). Yeah. Yet it supports DirectX11. A good way to get negative fps playing something like Assassin's Creed Odyssey on it.
You know funny thing about these older AMD apus. The processor very often bottlenecks its own integrated graphics. We even saw it with the laptop you tested in GTA V.
Also nice to see you play Dota for once! I play it far more often than I'd like to admit. I only have time for Turbo though.

Yeah I had a laptop with a E300 and my mom had one with a Simple intel Hd I think Gen 1 or maybe Gen 2 and even tho the Intel was supposed to be slower the games ran MUCH smoother thanks to the Pentium B950 cpu.

I used to use a Toshiba Satellite laptop that my parents bought for my brother back in 2011, from 2014-2016. It had Intel HD Graphics (1st gen, I think).

Yeah man sped my entire childhood with low fps. Isn't really a issue. And I must say back than my psyche was that if my computer can run a game, that's it. It is enough for me and even now. I play games on ultra and many times my fame drops from 60 but it's fine. At least the game is looking beautiful.

Im so surprised when i see ps1/ps2 era games (even 360/ps3 gsmes). It all looked like 4k ultra back when i was i kid. I miss those days sometimes when playing right now. Didn't understand batshit about fps/gfx. If the game runs, it's good. AA and rtx is definitely maxed out when you're a kid
@@bluengold3443 you are absolutely right. Yesterday I completed a game "Enemy Front" which is from 2014 also available on ps3 and xbox 360 and I can't tell you how beautiful that game was. And a few days ago I completed sleeping dogs on my x box 360 and that game was also looking so good. And just like you said, I still remember when I first time played GTA 4 on my core 2 due it was running on 15-20 fps but I was so happy that It was running on my computer. I completed whole game and I can't describe how happy I was. Same with WatchDogs

@@ten-dimension9390 i remember back around 2007 i got nfs pro street on pc (i was 11 by then) and i was so fucking blown away by the graphics. I was like this can't get any better, right? (My only aaa game before that was gta sa) But damn my pc was struggling. It could barely load the game in (crashes on the opening screen was aplenty) and runs around 15-20 fps (i think the pc had a Pentium 4 and some nvidia card maybe a 200 something? Idk. Also had maybe 256 mb ram?). Despite that, i fucking loved the game. I didn't care if it ran like total shit or even if it decided to play, i was just extremely happy i had an "amazing" game on my pc. The 8x AA and RTX goggles we had as kids where everything was beautiful and ran at 120 fps (even if was the total opposite) was really something else man, i really miss those moments

When I was younger I used to game on a 2011 fijitsu life book, with a beefy intel integrated graphics, and a i7-2410m. Pretty solid ultra low graphics at 10-40 frames
