Answer to the title: Yes, you can have fun with a low end laptop. Epic story: when i was a child i never had a good desktop so i used a laptop for more than 10 years and i "enjoyed" it.
I've always played games on my laptops. Never had a desktop. I'd say it is ok to have a gaming laptop instead of a desktop. The only thing I'd like to point out is that you have to keep an eye on your laptop's gpu/cpu temps cause mobile PCs tend to overheat more often than desktops
I remember having a laptop with a GeForce GO 7400 in like 2011. This is like a Supercomputer compared to that GPU. It could not run Cod 2 in directX 9 and it wasn’t able to get 30 fps in minecraft but I could run games like far cry 1, Star Wars battlefront 2 (2005) and half life 2
valorant is very taxing on the cpu my previous pc was a laptop with an I5 M520 and an AMD Radeon HD 5000 series and the cpu was always pegged at 100% and i was getting 30 fps
| used to play CS GO on a laptop with core 2 duo t6600,Nvidia 310m 512mb,4gb ram and indeed it was much more playable back then,I managed to play it at 720p low with around 50-60fps,I'm surprised how intensive this game is now.
This is the beauty of PC gaming, in my disgustingly humble opinion. I finished DA2, Skyrim..with Intel HD. Even using things like HiAlgo Boost to squeeze some more performance. Every PC could be a high end and a low end, depending on what type of work/games you are doing and how old it was.
Bedrock is made for mobile, and laptop or computer is far stronger than a mobile devices, beside the game is very optimized, though if i have that laptop i’d happily play Java edition, mods do exist you know, and so do tricks and ways to improve performance drastically, after all Java is still a whole lot better despite both version being the same game, and that “better” is really depends on how you look at it

Among Us took quite a bit of the GPU usage because the game is actually in a 3D engine. It uses 3D to tell whats in front of each other. It also uses it as an easy way to have menus a layer higher than in game or in another menu. The clothes are oh so slightly above the actual characters which explains a tiny glitch where if your inside someone sometimes your clothes go on top of them but your character doesn't.

I used to use a Toshiba Satellite laptop that my parents bought for my brother back in 2011, from 2014-2016. It had Intel HD Graphics (1st gen, I think). What a chonker of a laptop xD
I'm personally familiar with two low-end laptops. Actually more like one of them is bottom-end. One is the AMD A6-3420M with the Radeon HD 6520G. Back in 2012 it was relatively decent for a laptop. It played stuff like Dota 2 and CSGO pretty well. It was an upgrade over my Pentium 4 1.7 Ghz desktop so that I can play TF2 (which I was quite into at the time. Even back then the Pentium 4 just couldn't handle TF2). Something like 40-45 fps medium settings at 768p. These days it struggles with those at lowest settings at 768p and gets avg 30 fps. My other laptop? The AMD E-300 with the Radeon HD 6310 iGPU. So weak its performance is comparable to a Pentium 4 (and is weaker than the highest-end Pentium 4s, the hyperthreaded ones). Yeah. Yet it supports DirectX11. A good way to get negative fps playing something like Assassin's Creed Odyssey on it. You know funny thing about these older AMD apus. The processor very often bottlenecks its own integrated graphics. We even saw it with the laptop you tested in GTA V. Also nice to see you play Dota for once! I play it far more often than I'd like to admit. I only have time for Turbo though.
Yeah I had a laptop with a E300 and my mom had one with a Simple intel Hd I think Gen 1 or maybe Gen 2 and even tho the Intel was supposed to be slower the games ran MUCH smoother thanks to the Pentium B950 cpu.
Yeah man sped my entire childhood with low fps. Isn't really a issue. And I must say back than my psyche was that if my computer can run a game, that's it. It is enough for me and even now. I play games on ultra and many times my fame drops from 60 but it's fine. At least the game is looking beautiful.
Im so surprised when i see ps1/ps2 era games (even 360/ps3 gsmes). It all looked like 4k ultra back when i was i kid. I miss those days sometimes when playing right now. Didn't understand batshit about fps/gfx. If the game runs, it's good. AA and rtx is definitely maxed out when you're a kid

And a few days ago I completed sleeping dogs on my x box 360 and that game was also looking so good. And just like you said, I still remember when I first time played GTA 4 on my core 2 due it was running on 15-20 fps but I was so happy that It was running on my computer. I completed whole game and I can't describe how happy I was. Same with WatchDogs

A quick guide for DirectX versions and how the game utilize it. DirectX 9 games is always Rendered in Single-Thread of a CPU. Doesn't matter if the CPU has 16 Cores 32 Threads, it will only use 1 Thread to render the entire game. Online games are the exception. It uses 2 Threads where as 1 Thread for the Game itself, 1 Thread for network connectivity and players activity on the screen or minimap. Like CSGO for example. DirectX 10 Games is often visually no different from DirectX 9 if the game offered both Options in the menu. For example, the original Crysis 2007, and then Devil May Cry 4 2008. The only difference now, is the game can use up to 4 Threads of the CPU instead of just 1 Thread. DirectX 11 has the default to use 4 Threads of CPU, up to 8 Threads. Just like GTAV offers Dx11 & Dx10 Options, that just changes the way CPU Threads being used. DirectX 12 can use whatever amounts of Threads available in the CPU, but need minimum of 4 Threads no less. However it's also extremely difficult for developers to optimize any Game to use 32 CPU Threads for example.

He is playing on bedrock edition. Bedrock edition is very well optimized for low end devices. In the other hand, java edition is poorly optimized.
