Battlecruisers are some of the most overlooked ship types in EVE Online, but reality is: They are amazing. With Damage that is more reminiscent of a Battleship and Speed more reminiscent of a Cruiser, they are just right in the middle and amazing for fights in which you want a strong ship that is also able to extract at will. And in this video I will discuss their benefits and negatives, as well as my personal favourite Battlecruisers in EVE Online.

Jumping into the game as a newbie. Ive Recently got Into Hurricane and Drake. Been really enjoying myself lately.
I love flying BCs! Great video my man! ;)
BNI is also my favorite. We fly 30-40 with rails and 10 with blasters for enemies that are crazy enough to come in close.
I love the Drake. It's been one of my favorites since the early days of this mmo and in 2023 it's still a legit ship to pilot. It's very useful for its role and is still really damn great at tanking damage for its class.
ahh - so you're the guy that's always asking to bring his Drake for fleet ops... 😜
nice video. if i had to guess brutix navy issue is youre favorite. my favorite isnt on the list but i do like using the gnosis (H01103)

In my first year playing (2013), the Myrmidon was my swiss army knife. I loved jumping into wormholes. PvP, Data, Relic, Combat Sites. I'd do it all. And I loved the look.
After this video, I might fly BCs again :)

I like the plain old tech 1 Harbinger to rat C1’s orC2”s in. It’s not glamorous or anything but I can grind out sites in 5 minutes and drop mtu’s and have an alt collect blue loot and stay cloaked. If I lose one I won’t cry like it was a paladin or something and I’m more inclined to rat in the open and provide content to other wh’s etc. I can generally mine a few days and print some off and just pay for fits, heavy pulse lasers and tech 1 rigs and away we go. Pie, pvp, I like it all.
best bc depends on role, but I ran a 100km sentry myrm for a long time until I trained Isktar. I'm a big fan of big guns so the Tornado is my new interest.

I had a polarized Oracle that made me a lot of isk in a short amount of time, I'd have to say that's my favorite even though it does quickly in PvP.
Ferox is my favorite, good range great tank my go to mission runner

I have a Hurricane Fleet Shield Buffer Tank ship, completely Stable Blinged out Multispectrum and Shield Booster with a Amplifier. 1 or 2 shots PVE ships lvl 4 missions. "You can't touch this"

in my opinion you put way too much weigth on mobility and underastimate survability, so it kinda depends what you fighting, and the goal of your fight. if you defending higher value target, and or fighting something that want to be up in your face, theres nothing better then spidertanked drekavacs. if you bling them abit, they can rep eachother for up towards 1,5-2k dps each, and with some proper pilots and boost with em aswell, they should be able to fairly easily take on 1.5-2x bigger fleets then themselvs.
so true, spidertanked dreks took out my corps fleet once in pochven and it was borderlining on unfair
@@adawg3032 yea, i got my corp starting to use them few weeks back, and considering they both dps and logi, they require quite abit more micro managing then just dps, and it take time to learn use them. first time out with them in somewhat proper fight i locked up and put my guns on my corp mate by mistake instead of the enemy lol. however when learned to fly properly they rediculousy strong, and quite cheap for their possible performance.
spider tanking only works for small fleets and only with competent pilots, Mobility is king in fleets, so a heavy emphasis on it is the right thing to focus on.

The "Cane" Fleet is my favourite, followed by the Drake, for obvious reasons.

If they were less expensive it would be Pirate Hulls Online. It already almost is. F'ing stupid that ragtag gangs can make far better ships than empires.
@@Camcolito well, think of it as them taking the "stock" ship and modding the heck out of it, like car people do these days. Makes sense, especially since most of the pirate ships are taken from empire hulls
@@lemuelwonah7076 Doesn't make any sense, empires are best placed to make high end ships. It's like a random cartel getting an F-22 and improving it then producing it for sale.
@@Camcolito Kuvakei of Sansha's nation was seen as a tech and military genius, and probably used his bioengineering to create ship tech that was far ahead of the Empires. Angels have access to Jovian technology. Triglavians are from another realm. Blood Raiders are willing to do experiments that Amarr would see as sacrilege. I know it's just lore, but it explains why pirate ships are so powerful and valued.
Also, I think the true reason we don't have as powerful ships is because the empires don't give us the OP versions. The ships that empires use in gates and stations are insanely powerful, but when they make it available to us they strip them of those parts (I remember reading somewhere that all our ships are provided on license). This makes the most sense. Also explains why AT ships are better: the empire doesn't downgrade the tech as much
