- Bhavana explores why self-advocacy is challenging for women at work and in life and how we can take steps to overcome our fears and find the courage to ask for what we want. Studies and life experience reveal that self-advocacy is hard. Especially harder for women. But we have absolutely nothing to lose and so much to gain. In this talk, Bhavana asks us to remember who we once were and what we once dreamed of to challenge our thinking, embrace who we are, and simply imagine what’s possible. Her message was a great reminder of self validation. Imagine who you wanted to be- a great way to pause and go back to what you intrinsically want from life, what makes you happy. Recognize your strengths. Work through your weaknesses. Saddle up even if you’re apprehensive. Lean in. Thought provoking.

Thanks for sharing. So much truth to “you don’t have anything to loose” if you advocate for yourself. We as women are always the champion for others but never for ourselves. Why not try doing that for ourselves.
