Go look up Bardwell’s video where he tours Fatshark and that’ll give you a much better idea of what they’re dealing with. Plus their customer service is amazing and you don’t need to be fluent in Mandarin to get your goggles fixed.
Are they 16:9 or 4:3 screens? And, is that two true diversity recievers, or just aerial diversity? That connection in to a single module would imply two aerials on one reciever. The OLED appeals for those of us needing to fly camera drones.
I am as well. It sounds like a better option. Even if it performs the same it'd be nice to just swap 18650s. I may at least buy a spare. That battery seems to be the weakest link a lot.
How are those goggles truthfully? I always used dom v3s. I've tried a friend's HDOS like really quick and didnt see enough difference to actually care . Infact I didn't like the 4:3 screen. These ev200s are the only goggles I've found interesting. How are they?
@@prrcpor Always depends on your eyes and face-form.. For me ("EU-standard"-i-guess-lol) the EV200D fits perfect. Faceplate fits well, no light leak, screens are very sharp and colorful, eye-distance settings can be set on a wide range... I love the big and wide screen and combined with the latest Caddx Ratel i think you can´t get a better freestyle picture these days (tried several Runcams and Foxeers...). Racers might still prefer 4:3 (little more vertical view) and think different though, so here i´m talking about 16:9 freestyle view only. That dual-diversity-receiver-thing is really great in close range perimeter flying with good antennas, on longe range flights (2.5km and more away) the EV200D system seems to get some problems switching which antenna to prefer. Mine runs better with just one module equipped on longe range wing flights. With perimeter flying drones it´s still very good to have quadversity. Looking through my friends HDOs i do not see any difference in picture quality worth the money. In short: Recommeded if it fits your face ;-)

Coming from EV800D. I adapted to the FOV right away and can clearly see like the resolution doesn't even matter. The details are cleaner than the EV800D. Cameras I'm using are Caddx Ratel.
This goggle doesn't show you which band/frequency you're on on an OSD?
Where is Grumpy Trev been at?
Everyone here seems to be hating but I’ve just started fpv and I’ve been flying with Eachine EV800 box goggs for about 7 months now and I’ve just purchased these. Needless to say I’m bloody excited haha
How do you charge the batteries, can u use the battery case with balance lead. Also, how do u charge the batteries out of fatshark battery case. Is a battery adapter out there to charge the cylinder li ion type batteries?
Just got a pair haven’t got to turn them on yet but I hope it looks better than it feels.
I use commander V1's and I have nothing to compare them too. But they do have bad light leak and the whole face plate and foam really sucks. For around the same price I would probably have chosen these over the Aomways just because the OLED. You should do a side by side with likewise priced goggles. WIll you be going to the IO in Indiana, US at the end of the month?
@UAVfutures If you had $300 to spend on a new pair of goggles what would you get? I was looking at these and a few others but can't make up my mind, I'm new to the hobby so I don't know as much as you guys :)
Pretty nice. I just don't think I'll be able to go from 50°FOV TO 30°
Damn it!
Came into the hobby a half year too early! Now I'm sitting on my Commander V1s that don't really fit my face.
Additionally I can't get the whole screen in focus at all!
Guess I already know what my christmas-wish is!
the only thing i envy is the face foam.. the other is standard,, 600*400 is low for that price range. so this include diversity module.... wow.. no other google has done that before..
BUT! will that green face plate fit on the HDO'S?
hey I used one of your guide videos for the 100mph race drone that you made last year, and my drone is all built, but I cannot tune it, or even make it arm! please could help me..?
turn on osd warnings and it will prob tell you whats wrong when you try to arm
Caius Jones ok thank you I will try that!
What kind batteries 18650 did you use on that? Lipo ir li-ion
For the beginner budget minded we need quality, support, reasonable price and good flight experience. These and the skyzone seem to be the best options. I shared this and the new skyzone video with my son in law. He's in the market for his first pair of non-box style goggles. Looked into hd3 core, gone way up in price even used. Thanks for your review, fun and informative. 👍🤓
How do these compare to the Fat Shark Transformer? I know it may be an "Apple's to Orange's" comparison but I'd still like to hear what you would say? TNX
This feels like a QVC sales advert...
This was a cheeky way of not breaching an NDA, Bardwell was dropping hints on not buying skyzones must be for this
if that's the case it will be a budget set of googles
Been flying with the Eachine Ev100's......these are my Next Buy for Sure!! Hate the Green(Red is my Color)......but they're Priced Right! the High price,is why iv'e never owned sharks yet. These Changed My Mind!! Great Review Brother!!
Thinking it's a hard difference between these and the ev100, next buy for sure... In white please
14:30 long range tony says it's an odd choice of color but look at your vest haha
g'day stu!
where do you personally recomend buying parts for quads here in Australia. The shipping times from China are ridiculous. I'm waiting 2 months just to get the runcam swift 2.
Enzo Venter tried next FPV?
Think I'll be sticking to the skyzones power button controllable fan speed 30 deg fov for a few buts less to me the choice is obviously go with the better features at a lower cost
@@lockwooddave I have had my skyzones for years with no issues they out preform my fatshark over and over so for me as well as a bunch others in sure the choice is as clear as the reception on my sky02's I don't follow the teenage hype train and have to have something cuz it just came out I'll be buying the new skyzones don't get me wrong the fs seem nice just not nice enough to drop 300 on when I can get a new pair of sky02 for about the same price
Watch Bardwell’s review and you might just change your mind
Fatshark scout !? Or these v5 for tiny hawk flyin g??
Is this better than my aomway commander v1? Is it even a upgrade or should i stick to my aomway till they die on me?
The only thing Fatshark are listening to is sales figures against better competitors.
Gotta love competition...
A fan that runs off the battery itself would be great but why is everyone so stuck on the on/off button. Is it that hard to unplug. As far as skyzone i have tried them before and they do look good but CS and the ability to change modules is the deal breaker. Fatsharks might be pricey but imo there the standard in racing. My HDOs cost $500 but i love how clear they are and anytime i had a issue in the past FS has handled it fast. $300 for OLED a module with antennas and a 18650 case is a no brainer for me
I JUST ordered the Skyzone's and then this video comes out... son of a..
Is it compartirle with TBS Crosfire Nano RX.?
Hi Stu, i want to get back into flying my drone using for recreational, just wondering if there are any legal requirements i need to do? I live in Australia QLD and my quad weighs over 250g. Cheers.
Dean t In QLD also. Just fly it. It’s all about risk. As long as you’re not doing anything that risks danger to others or other’s property - then you’ll be fine.
Every time, it makes me chuckle,......"Heytch D O". Needs to be a decal on the goggles. Love ya Stu!
And I am mad cause I wasn't even aware of these and ordered HDO's with Immersion. Haven't even taken delivery of them! Oh well.....
Hi! Love your videos! I'm just staring with the fpv hobby, and I'm trying to figure out what goggles should i get as my firs pair. I'm considering attitude v5, refurbished dominator hd3 , or saving up for refurbished hdo.
I would really appreciate your opinion.
Thanks!
Aleksandrs Melniks , I’d consider the skyzone v02x or v02c goggles, the comments made by stu are that they have a very good screen and better picture.
just skipped the power button option still and straight to OLED screens. I'll take it !!
Thanks for yet another great vid , I just looked everywhere and they are on pre-order only ,any info on the release date ? Fly Safe & Cheers from Montreal Qc
How does this work with glasses?
Will the goggles power the rapid fire with out mods.
@Michael Benjamin Thank you, That is a mod I did not want to do to my dom v3 goggles.I will keep my eye on these for sure
So what do u guys think...... Buy used Dom 3s or buy these?
2ballz onecup these because of diversity, antennas out of the box - and OLED!
Skyzone have already surpassed Fat Shark by putting on a on/off button! We've been asking for one for years! At least Skyzone listens to us lol. Cant wait to see fat shark let us destroy more of there products and void warranties to get the "innovation" we all really want lol.
Fatshark FTW! Awesome job again Stu!!
I have the attitude v5, and the commander v1s and I always pick up the v1s. I just prefer them.
We really need innovation... same design, battery placement.. no bottom to tun on/off . They should put a Camara to see with a bottom to see what is in front of you when switching better foam and head band etc... please innovate!
I want to upgrade my Attitude V3, I waited for new Attitude (Dominators don't fit on my face).
But this is a downgrade :-(
640x400 WTF !
What are the specs on the v3?
@@BubbyFPV
640x480 and 32° FOV
the point of it is that is oled
These are OLED
The only thing that blows you away I probably the Prise again.
When are they being released?
How come no more grumpy Trev? I see him doing his own reviews on various things, but is he not flying with you guys anymore? Sorry I've got l gone off topic, but I kind of value his take on things. He serves the critiquing that most need to hear? Plus I love hearing the bleeping of his swearing? I dunno maybe it's cause I'm Aussie and people who swear in reviews add an element of honesty?
Mate, that's a great review and the one that I was looking for - a few different opinions at Attitude V5. Now I'm convinced that I will buy it and sell my BetaFPV VR01 at last! Cheers :)
Where are you from again? You are the only person outside of Pittsburgh PA that I have ever heard call the humid weather, "muggy". Ill say that when I am out of town and NO ONE knows what the hell I'm talking about. "its muggy...? Like Coffee mug?" lmfao
the circle lenses are magnifying the smaller cheaper screens. im guessing that is where they ,managed to price them that cheap with olead screens.
The amount of Fat Shark hate in these comments is amusing. We wouldn’t even have an FPV community if Fatshark hadn’t broken that ground first.
640x400 and 30° FOV ... no thank you.
@@SPotter1973 love the aomway v1
@@SPotter1973 Yep that is what I will do as well!
the point of it is that is oled
Is there a version without a receiver because I already have a laforage
It's great we have all these innovations. Can we start putting the thought out there for a flip up or see through screen.
can these take rapid fire or is it built in only?
Yeah standard module bay apparently
Yes they can take the RapidFire module
I'm using the stock 1800mah battery that came with my HDO'S. Is it worth me getting a case style with 18650's?
I am as well. It sounds like a better option. Even if it performs the same it'd be nice to just swap 18650s. I may at least buy a spare. That battery seems to be the weakest link a lot.
Why they just don't make it 720p? I don't get it!
Because its an mid line goggle.. some poeple want the best of the best...
And it’s OLED which Bardwell proved has a better picture than the competition’s higher resolution but lower quality screen
Hrhr, watching this video in my Eachine ev200D via hdmi cable. Guess I won't take off the ev200 for this 😉
How are those goggles truthfully? I always used dom v3s. I've tried a friend's HDOS like really quick and didnt see enough difference to actually care . Infact I didn't like the 4:3 screen. These ev200s are the only goggles I've found interesting. How are they?
I haven't been able to get the hdmi to work, how did you do it?
@@benmeiss9901 you most likely have to change your input from Av to hdmi
@@Slash7FPV Have you noticed any color/motion blurring?
I got my hd3 with trued both brand new for 320€ from hobbyking. Love them since day 1.
I think I'll wait for the HDOv3's 😂
🥃cheers🍻
Sorry...I'm so confused about all these FPV goggles If I don't want to fluff around buying mid range shit and want newest top notch stuff Which is it? Something that's not obsolete or will be the day after lol.
I can get a Fat shark attitude v5 for 250 euros! Is that a good deal?
How to install rapidfire on this? I love my domv3 + rapidfire. So im sure these will be a good upgrade. I like 30degrees.
Which bands does the module support? Because if it's only the f band that's reason enough for me to swap the module. Won't give up my rapid fire or they must be crazy good
@Cyramex great, thnx
The last guy said that with his old eyes he can't focus very well and this make me worry cause I'm new to hobby but I'm not so young, so I think I'll go with the skyzones, but I'll wait for your aomway v1s review. Thanks Stew for you great videos
Don't miss out on point that it's different aspect ratio skyzones are 16:9 and these 4:3
@@MariusFBU I red that fatsharks can takes correcting lenses that I didn't know and that change the game.
@@HugoVarvoglis would recommend to find people flying drones in your location and ask to try out some different options in real life. I have bought EV100 as my first set of goggles, screens loked small but I get used to it, but then I put HD3 there was so much difference..
@@HugoVarvoglis when saw full package from Fatshark for 300$ get so hyped, but now im getting second thoughts about that and thinking of box googles. Fatshark relesed two along side these. Both has much bigger FOV, better resolution, cost less and you can where those over the glasses (not sure about Recon V3, but scouts are designed for that)
@@MariusFBU My first set was the topsky prime 1s, for entering the hobby was ok but far from good and now I'd like to make the next step, I'm not on hurry and I'm glad that new goggles came out this time that i'm out for goggles.
I'll most likely stick to my dom v3s. Does it have a video out? Boy I would really like one of those. Other then that I don't see any huge difference in any of the dominator goggles. Infact I like the 16:9 screen. I wouldnt give that up
Stew what about a follow up video trying the different modules in them ?
I think if I was going to upgrade my goggles which are the skyzone v02’s , I think I’d go for the new skyzone 02 x or 02c goggles, because as you said you liked the screen more, and after all isn’t that one of the most important things to consider.
David Reynolds but check out Bardwell’s review - he shows you the quality side by side and the Fat Sharks are so much better
Jayden Lawson , I think you’ve read a lot more into bardwell’s review than there actually is, I’ve already seen his review. The only real reason why he recommends the fat sharks is because of their customer service.
