His 18 year-old nephew runs the ice rink. That is on the verge of bankruptcy and the kid had the Stockton ice hockey coach fired. After saying he was in a meeting he shouldn't of been. So they banned him from the rink over it. The coach was just trying to save the place but since he wasn't allowed in the facility. Stockton was forced to fire him.
This isn't a GREAT DAY in Atlantic City.

The principal of one of the schools is a close friend of the Smalls. She didn't report child abuse, Smalls wife is the head of Atlantic City schools. They confiscated a phone and laptop looking for information that the Mayor and his wife helped cover up the abuse so the principal wouldn't get in trouble.

She told a teacher and guidance counselor in school who in returned approached the principal about the abuse allegations. The Principal is a family friend, the mayors former campaign manager, hired as principal after the wife became Superintendent and is chair of the Democrats in AC. Instead of notifying child protective services as required by law. The principal told the Mayor and his wife about the allegations the daughter made. The daughter told the teachers and counselor that the principal told her parents everything after stating she would notify child protective services. They in turn notified the police and prosecutors office about what happened. So they started an investigation and must of found a ton of evidence that they were able to secure warrants.
The mayor told the 2 cops that showed up right before the prosecutors office. He wouldn't give them anything and they weren't allowed to search his home and to leave the premises. The mayor is in a lot of trouble along with the wife and have a feeling a ton more will come out. After all his 18 year old nephew runs the ice rink and a few months back they started issues. They had the Stockton ice hockey coach fired over being in a meeting they didn't see fit for him to be in. This is all typical Atlantic city politics in the end, friends and families get these great jobs for no reason. It's like when people found out the Fire Cheifs assistant had 2 assistants of her own and they were related to her. Smalls is having a rally to support him that will be paid for by a decent amount of city funds as usual.

My comment was conveniently deleted. The school principal didn't properly report abuse claims against the mayor, wife, or both to the state as required by law. She told them that the daughter accused them of some sort of abuse.

I hope and pray that all of these folks are not standing up , hiding and protecting abusers. So often, the victim is forced to retreat and change their story to protect the image of those who have abused them. If these charges are real, may they all be charged, go to jail and serve every day. There is a difference between chastising and abusing. Again, if these charges are true, I pray the daughter gets the necessary help she needs to understand that abuse is unacceptable.
