+Milind Patil It would stay for more than 40 minutes for recording. I believe it can stretch for 1 hour but better to charge it before that. As far as number of shots are concerned it can do in the range of 200 to 230 images.
I bought this camera on Oct 2015 as my first camera, till now it works like a charm, just the mode dial is now a bit loosened and the screen has a bit scratches, but still it's usable like new..
Have you tried using the card in some other device? In case the card is not working in any device, you can understand it is card error, otherwise take the camera to a service center for service.

I don't think it would be a good choice for anything that involves rapid and fast motions. There are good action camera's at this price range which can produce much better footage considering the purpose you have mentioned.

+Sunil Raula Get close to the subject you want to focus, and make sure that the background is far away from the subject, that way you can have a blur with any camera. Say for example you need to capture a photo of phone in your hand with a blurred background of a tree, if so get away from the tree. Around 4 to 6 meters would be fine, hold the phone keeping the tree as background, and focus on the phone. That way your phone will be sharp and tree will be blurred.

true , I agree you point explained . suggest some point shoot cam with good macro & video blogging (point shoot preferred as easy setup & traveling) , wide angle & screen rotating so can check video display while shooting ...
At max i can go 21K as my budget , today i checked NIKON A900... like to get your review on the cam & any thing better if any with in tht budget ... I like to use that for my blogging
+Ride at 80km I liked the video output from the A900, I felt that low light performance is on the weaker side though. Other than that, in my opinion it is a good pick. I could spend only under 2hours with the unit, so please go through reviews from photography websites too.

Great video! I have one query, I just bought the pink Nikon s7000 . The audio from inbuilt microphone is very bad . there is that constant hiss noise in background while taking video. even in the silent condition that hiss sound doesn't go .is this the case with all compact cameras or I have a defective piece ...?? please reply ... I have read somewhere it's becoz of camera motor and microphone picks that .... is ixus 285 hs better in this case or all cameras have horrible audio clarity and that hiss sound of motor
Most of the camera's in-built microphone has a hiss, especially the entry level one's. Even entry level DSLR's have a hiss. Buy a cheap mic for now and record audio separately.

I just went through your channel. I advice you to stick to whatever you're filming with for now. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it a 6 or 6.5 max for video. I see that you do some indoor videos too, in low light, the S7000 doesn't do well. Wait for a little while and buy something better. What is your budget right now?

It has a macro mode for close ups... But no background blur per se. If your subject is quite far from the immediate background, and the subject is closer to the camera it will blur the image.

+pankaj baviskar The voice quality is not so great. It just gets the job done. If you're seriously recording, never record with the internal microphone on the camera even if it is a high end camera. Smartphones do a much better job in recording.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. I don't own this camera; I believe there is a dedicated macro mode in the camera. you can check the dials for an icon which emulates a plant, that would be the way. You cannot take Macro photos like DSLR's though.

I don't have the camera now, but if I remember correctly, use the zoom stick/button to zoom in. But focusing will be bad if you do that.

if you're on a budget cam don't buy old sony. I suggest Olympus, Lumix and Nikon
