I was 50% done with doing the desert run manually but I (for some reason) ACCIDENTALLY switched my character, and when I switched back, Michael's outfit changed, so I had to get back home and redress myself which led to a complete reset of my progress 💀 RIP
Thats why you go to Gane and and pick reload game. That's what the quick save option on your phone is for it would taken you right back to that spot where you were running with the saved progress.
Tip for the 5 mile run: Go to the air strip and run up and down it like 15 times. Flat and straight. I literally taped my left joy stick up and spammed A for like 15 min
Damn Epsilon quest is giving me nightmare-ish flashbacks of RedDeadRedeption 2's "Exotics" quest for Mr 'Algernon Wasp' (that was also an absolute pain in the arse of a very long task to complete for the 100% trophy)... Thankyou for this superb guide, I would never have done it without help like this.

Whoever decided it was a good idea to put crap like this in the game should've been fired... Stupid damn thing to have to do.. For those of you still trying I found an extremely easy way to steal the money, don't take the turn into where the helicopter is just keep driving straight , then all you need to do is go to the highway and keep driving, the helicopter will soon leave you at the highway and you're free. No cops will be involved

After getting in the car and driving out the side alley behind the helicopter you want to head over to the highway and if you remember the escape tunnel that leads to the subway that you use during the jewelry heist mission in the beginning of GTA go in the same spot but you're going to have to drive pretty far in there and wait until the enemies and helicopter disappeares because eventually the helicopter will run out of gas but they don't just stop following you if you drive off. And they're harder to fool than the police in GTA when you hide under that tunnel.
I found the easiest way to steal the money. Don’t make the final turn on side road to helo landing. Stay straight one block to the 2-level garage. Go under the half roof and post up behind the car. Only one way in and helo can’t get you. Security has to come up the ramp and turn corner and does so on foot. They’ll just end up in a pile of bodies. Either wait for the helo to leave for fuel or duck out the back side to take out the shooters. The helo stats above the cars location and gives you a moment to pop out and have the angle to shoot. Did it last night and no cops. On practice run, went to 5 stars with wasting cops in same place and only ended when I got bored and took construction ramp off roof to spice it up.
For exercising the truth I decided to do laps on the train tracks and then I got to 2.5 miles but then apparently went out of the desert (I didn’t, I was still like .2 miles away from the end) and then it reset me entirely.. then I kept walking around again and got to 2.5 miles.. and some random event happened where I was tazed and then woke up on the train tracks.. without the robes.. so I had to go back home and put them back on.. making me reset. So yeah.. that’s the story of how I had to walk 10 miles through the desert, I guess me being halfway finished and train tracks just don’t go well togethe

Use a hair tie to pull your toggles into each other and Michael will walk in circles in the desert, will still count. If you have paddles or maybe a well placed heavy object you can have something hold A so he will run and it'll take like half an hour for him to run the whole 5 miles

@@johnsducks9816 Sorry I’m this late, but if you had auto save on and did the mission as told, you just missed out on 2mill. The game saves after you complete missions, if you had turned off auto save and saved before every mission, you could’ve loaded into the save and do the mission differently. If you have a saved file that’s before the epsilon missions than you’re good (as long as it’s not to many missions to do you’re good, but if you do, I suggest just playing through and changing up your gameplay to get better rewards)

For anyone interested, 6 years ago on the Xbox 360, my buddies and I are were all in an online lobby in GTA. My friend was level 1, first session ever played - He stole a car and was joy riding somewhere near the Getty. He jumped a grassy field and his car just exploded...We were all in a party chat and could hear his TV speakers. Suddenly, a voice started talking to him and a cutscene took over with a Christ-like figure hovering in the sky. He was trying to describe what was happening but since he was brand new to the game, he thought it was just something that happened to everyone and didn't really pay close attention to what was being said. The moment passed, he tried to take a pic with his phone but it was a blur. I've never heard of that happening before or since. True story. I wonder what the connection was to the Epsilon Program and Mount Chiliad Mystery is. Why did they release the Cypher (tuner/car) and what can it help solve?

The way the mission was meant to be done so you get a GOLD C0IN, is to betray Chris. So if you didn't betray Chris nothing will ever happen and you end up with a tractor.

Do we steal the money (roughly 2 million) at the helicopter or go all the way through finding the 10 items for more?
I got the 10 items, got no money from it, so I had to load up an old save file from when I didn’t do the epsilon missions to redo it, wasted 2 hours of my time, steal my money from the helicopter immediately
Even if you steal the money, you can still find the 10 tracts, but don't expect anything else after that, meating Kraf was just a mod in this video
Glad i looked into this properly, the only endings are tractor or steal money. Rest is mods.

I feel like doing the Epsilon program after Amanda and the kids left is the correct way to do it. Thats how I did on my second playthrough and chose the other option after meeting Cris Formage
The part at 24:16 where you gotta run 5 miles in the desert you can run in a circle if you’re on console you can put a hair tie on your L3 and a chip clip on X/A and bam afk 5 mile run

The way the mission was meant to be done so you get a GOLD C0IN, is to betray Chris. So if you didn't betray Chris nothing will ever happen and you end up with a tractor.
