The best commercial paint shops in Ireland (apart from restoration shops) do an 80% job that barely outlasts the warranty. It’s amazing to see it done properly.

GM has an absolutely broken supply chain. I just waited 6 weeks for exhaust manifold studs for warranty work on my L5P (leaking/warped exhaust manifolds squealing with the exhaust brake on)
And that's why you have to pay GM $100,000 for a work truck. All we need is a truck, not an electronics store. --- Thanks for the great upload, you guys are amazing. --

I found that sandblasting chrome works with you use very fine sand, VERY VERY FINE SAND.

Try PPG AC-131-2 Sol Gell as an adhesion promoter on aluminum and chrome. Aerospace uses it on aircraft for paint and adhesive bonding

What is the product that you use to de-grease, de-wax ?
Why don’t you clean scale readout the put a quart baggy over it. Change out baggie when it gets to look like scale readout??? Just an idea

I knew that as a tail light warranty. Once the brake lights come on, the warranty is over.
I spray oven cleaner on my chrome to make the paint stick
Why not use CAN +perchloric acid as an etchant for chrome it was made for that.
