Made these and they are delicious! I added cacao powder to the mix so the donut had a nice chocolate flavor too. Used the vanilla protein and also some powdered egg yolks. Also sprinkled coarse salt on top with the chocolate for that salty sweet flavor. So good thank you! Hard to believe these are a high protein snack and taste like your eating a real donut.

I would try adding some apple flavoring (I think amoretti makes an apple pie one) and mulling spices to the batter. The packaged mulling spices usually contain dextrose, but you can assemble yourself using cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and maybe a pinch of orange zest. Then I would coat the baked donuts in a very thin amount of coconut oil and dust with cinnamon and granulated allulose.

I've used egg white protein powder and the bread turned out like styrofoam. What did I do wrong? I heard you mention styrofoam when mixing the egg white powder in the donut mixture. Is it possible I over mixed?
I used heavy cream to mix with my melted 100% baking chocolate and added monk fruit sweetener along with vanilla to the chocolate mix. Can’t add liquids to the baking mix for the donuts because they will not fluff up.

Make sure the gelatin is mixed into egg whites and not settle on outside of the mixing bowl. Stopping and using a spatula to mix it in can help.

Depends on what product you use and its concentration. The bottle or bag should have a conversion ratio to sugar. :)

That might be tough. Possible with a whisk, but might take a long time to get really stiff whites.

Just keep an eye on them. They won't need as much cook time since they're smaller :)
