    They're huge!!!! I need to make them! The brownies were delicious! I've been following the guidelines of your keto book and since I've been doing the protein sparing, I'm finally losing weight in my belly area! I didn't realize I need to cut out fat as much as carb to lose weight. Other keto/carnivore channel says eat a stick of butter a day, so I did and gained weight so now I'm starting over with your methods. Your recipes are fancy! I feel like I'm having cheat meals everyday!! Thank you for doing what you do! Mahalo!

    Made these and they are delicious! I added cacao powder to the mix so the donut had a nice chocolate flavor too. Used the vanilla protein and also some powdered egg yolks. Also sprinkled coarse salt on top with the chocolate for that salty sweet flavor. So good thank you! Hard to believe these are a high protein snack and taste like your eating a real donut.

    Can’t wait to make these. I bought the gelatin using your code, thank you! It is so much cheaper than buying gelatin at the store, and it lasts so long, not to mention, like you said, from a trust worthy company. I didn’t realize all the ways I could use gelatin in my cooking!

    Thanks for your fun recipes. I have enjoyed making many from your channel and cookbooks. Could you do an apple cider donut variation on this? If so, how would you do it?

      I would try adding some apple flavoring (I think amoretti makes an apple pie one) and mulling spices to the batter. The packaged mulling spices usually contain dextrose, but you can assemble yourself using cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and maybe a pinch of orange zest. Then I would coat the baked donuts in a very thin amount of coconut oil and dust with cinnamon and granulated allulose.

    This video was helpful because I am making the donuts from your cookbook and wasn't sure when to add the vanilla. However, you mentioned in this video we could sub for vanilla egg white protein powder; which I did. Thanks!!!

    The chocolate glaze you made is actually CHOCOLATE GANACHE. Looks great on your donuts. Do these have a different texture than the Keto Bread?

      @@MariaEmmerich I made them for breakfast...tried to post a picture...less than .75 carb per donut if chocolate....but a whole lot of heaven Made with cinnamon/stevia/monk fruit topping as well. Chewy, flavorful. 1 is not enough. Thank you again.

    Hi, Maria! I made the protein sparing donuts and they were delicious, but did not get chewy like yours. Any ideas as to why they didn't get chewy? I didn't use further foods gelatin, but another good quality one. Could it be I didn't whip the egg whites enough? They held good peaks, but didn't feel really firm. Thanks for any suggest you have for me!

      Make sure the gelatin is mixed into egg whites and not settle on outside of the mixing bowl. Stopping and using a spatula to mix it in can help.

    OMG this is exactly what I need right now 🥰. When you say monk fruit allulose, is that a combination of the two? I have both so can I do half and half? What's the ratio? Thx!

      Depends on what product you use and its concentration. The bottle or bag should have a conversion ratio to sugar. :)

    Hi Maria. These look so good! I have unflavored beef gelatin powder from different brand that I need to use up before purchasing from Further Food. Can I use it the same way (without dissolving first in warm water)?

    How long do/can you store these?

    I've used egg white protein powder and the bread turned out like styrofoam. What did I do wrong? I heard you mention styrofoam when mixing the egg white powder in the donut mixture. Is it possible I over mixed?

      Yes, over mixing once protein powder is added is the most common cause of that.

    Living off grid, no mixer😥. Is it possible to make these without a mixer??? Also the protein sparing wonder bread needs a mixer.

      That might be tough. Possible with a whisk, but might take a long time to get really stiff whites.

      Yes, but that would greatly increase the fat and calories and make it less of a weight loss recipe. :)

      I used heavy cream to mix with my melted 100% baking chocolate and added monk fruit sweetener along with vanilla to the chocolate mix. Can’t add liquids to the baking mix for the donuts because they will not fluff up.

      @auntieanna5144) said they used whey protein powder, but it is not good for weight loss. But she said it does work beautiful. I think I am going to try mine with beef protein isolate which I have always added to my regular bread buns. Now I am excited finally!

    I never knew there is egg white powder!! Do the donuts taste/smell eggy? I have a love hate relationship with eggs but i need to increase my protein intake

    I ordered donut pans and they are not the huge ones (4") - they are 2.75" diameter. Will this work?

      Just keep an eye on them. They won't need as much cook time since they're smaller :)

      I don't recommend dairy if trying to lose weight. But a whey protein powder could work.
