    Story 2: The cousin was being a total manchild. While he does raise a good point that there shouldn’t be preschool graduations, he was too much of a jerk about it. Also, the family should be ashamed of him since he was picking arguments with little kids who aren’t even halfway to double digits. The aunt and uncle’s reaction how the OP handled the situation show that their son’s terrible personality is genetic.
    Story 3: The friend is being very selfish to the OP. Did the friend want to be a third wheel?

      I think preschool graduations are a great idea. It's giving the kids a sense of accomplishment early on so they don't have to wait 12 years for it. Kids like "instant" gratification and feeling like they did a good job. They don't (edited) understand grades yet, so reassuring them that they're doing a great job is fantastic.

    Story 1, the only ones I feel sorry for are the people who almost got suckered into the scam.
    Story 2, not a jerk, not in the slightest. Yeah a preschool graduation can be pretty useless, I didn't have one and as far as I know neither did any of my friends, we really don't care about small stuff like that, the cousin was way out of line and his patents were just as dumb. Who bullies 4-year-old kids?
    Story 3, I don't care what people say, if someone is on an obvious date, DO NOT invite yourself in like that.
    Story 4, if there is proof of cheating, leave his ass.

      @@TonttemanAnyonee with a conscious would want to let the spouse know that their partner cheated. Why is that such a weird situation for you to imagine? Not everything is about being jealous or even caring about someone, but if you know someone cheated you should tell their spouse out of respect for them as a person.

    • @Tontteman
      @Tontteman Год назад

      @@atlasbread No, it's not about that. People just don't do that, people don't go and find out with who their sleeping partner is in relationship, after they have done the actual deed. That would make them the "other woman/man", most people don't want to be that, they don't want to be the reason why somebody's marriage/relationship ended.
      That doesn't happen even between friend, naturally because friends already know if someone is in a relationship and they don't sleep with their friends partners. And if they do, they are not a friend, they are something else and you can't never trust a person like that. That person can also lie, that person might have their own agenda.

    • @atlasbread
      @atlasbread Год назад

      @@Tontteman The reason she did that was because she saw the post the OP was engaged with her ex. Even if you don't want to be "the other person" it doesn't change that you are and again, anyone with a conscious would inform the partner that their spouse potentially cheated. There doesn't have to be some "hidden agenda" for her to try to be a good a person, the OP even stated that unless you were friends or family it was unlikely that someone would know OP and her fiancee were dating, and I doubt the fiancee would just straight up tell the person he's wanting to fuck that hes in a relationship.

    Story 1: A good case of "If its too good to be true, it generally is". If it were me, the moment I saw it was a pyramid scheme, i would've just walked out, and definitely would've left the moment he gets introduced by a different name. Honestly, i'm surprised these kinds of things are still around. I feel a little bad for the pregnany woman that was hoping for an easy home job, but i dont really feel bad for anyone else, and i certainly dont feel bad for John, Jacob... whatever he wants to call himself. He deserved to loss out on all that money, because im pretty sure he would've cost all those people lots of money if they had started "working" for him. Looks like hes going to lose more to legal issues with the rental company, and the nasty email he sent the OP. Moron.
    Story 2: OP is 100% not the jerk here. The cousin is a super jerk here. So you didnt get a pre-school graduation... big whoop! He probably didnt get one because he didnt even graduate pre-school. The cousin is a complete idiot and a major bully. Those kids are around 4-5 years old, hope he feels proud of himself. Also, the extended family are big jerks too. Just because he is family does not mean the OP (or anyone else) needs to be on his side.
    Story 3: OP isnt a jerk here, the other friends are. If someone is on a date with somebody, that should've been your cue to politely leave. I get that your friend didnt realize that it was a date at first, but once she did, she shouldve left, and using the excuse of 'my other gay friends let me join' is really stupid. Just because they might, doesnt mean anyone else has to. Also, this whole situation is no one else's business, so the other friend has absolutely no right to call the OP and complain. If i were the OP, id cut off the people that are not understanding and not on your side.
    Story 4: If he cheated, especially that early in a relationship, you should leave him. Period!
    Story 5: Something tells me the BIL did this on purpose to cause some kind of a scene, not because he actually wanted to go in a dress or not. OP isnt a jerk here. Perhaps a little extra clarification on the colours allowed might've been needed, but the OP was right to be upset here.

      Story 2: To quote a phrase in its entirety, "The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb."
      Story 5: I'm kind of with you in that the BIL was being malicious and his family was foolish enough to take his side. Had the BIL wore a dress in the correct colours there would not have been an issue, but the asshat decided to go with electric pink-a colour bold enough to scream "look at me".

    3rd story: Maybe snapping in anger isn't the best way to get your point across but immediately hanging up just makes the friend look hella guilty. Truth hurts, and it is definitely gross the way the friend is comparing OP to their 'other gay friend'. Who would probably also have a problem with that weirdo inserting themselves into his ACTUAL dates too. SOUNDS a lot like the friend secretly doesn't regard these people's dates as legitament because they're not straight. But then, I've become very jaded lately, living as an LGBTQ+ person in the southern US.

    So about pyramid schemes. I got invited to join one several years ago called Primerica. I got a call on my work phone saying I would be perfect for their management team. Being a lowly paid government worker, I was interested. I went to the informational meeting where the first thing they had us do was fill out an application and a list of work references. They started out with all this doom and gloom about the world and then went into how we can help people by selling them insurance policies. I was suspicious and as soon as they put up a diagram of upside down pyramid I knew what was happening. I went to leave and they asked where I was going. I called them out but as with most of these they had several plants in the room saying I was wrong and how wonderful the company was. I called them on their BS. I demanded to have my application and list of references back. Turns out what they were doing was they would get some names to call from when you put your business card in to win a free lunch. Sad to say those are often sold to telemarketers. And other people they called were from those references we gave. One big scheme. I later found out they had called several of my coworkers at my government agency which is a big no no. A misdemeanor at the minimum.

Then there was a second test, asking for my SSN. So I asked "Hey, are you guaranteeing me that I'll be getting employed? Cause I know you don't need this info until you're hiring me". I was told it was "standard procedure in this state", so instead i walked out right then.
