To the dude with the nerd gf, that triangle guy is Bill Cipher, one the greatest villains of all time. Right up there with the Joker and Handsome Jack. So, show some respect. Also, why would you let any of the stuff on her wall bother you? Do you have any idea how easy it is to buy gifts for a girl that keeps her interests out in the open like that? Every girl wants to receive thoughtful gifts and with most of them you have to be a mind reader or hurt their feelings. I've had relationships end because i'm not a great gift giver. With this chick, just get her a new action figure every holiday. She'll be thrilled. I love that.
For the playing video games one: I don't see the problem. I mean, she was asleep! I wouldn't mind as long as the person was quiet. They could read, play video games, or watch RUclips with their headphones in for all I care, just as long as they let me sleep for as long as I need to. The time it would bother me is if I was awake, we were doing something together, and instead they'd be constantly on their phone or making it clear they'd rather be playing their game by themself.
Story 2: There are entitled people everywhere. I live in Nigeria and I have had issues with entitled Karens. I think it is a not limited to a single place no matter how nice people say they are.

To be honest, IMO, the construction industry is infested with vile scammers who prey on older people.
I think that most industries are basically honest und it's the minority that get the most attention.

While their collections aren't 'freaky' no one would expect adults to collect certain character toys or ventage toys or a room pull of pinball machines. It really sounds like that boyfriend is actually his mother.
Story 3: I absolutely am a lover of insects and marine life , i would absolutely love to be there . The mother's comment is kind of eyebrow raising , sure some people dont love insects and cartoon shows but seeing that in a house? Thats really wicked everyone usually normal/basic items/decor so seeing a change of pace is definitely something to talk about. People react differently some might not like and some might do
Third story, the OP is the A. What a judgmental jerk. Just politely tell her that you don’t want to impose by having a bunch of people in her place. It might not be the truth, but it’s the polite way to refuse.
That's the problem with the day and age we live in everybody would rather be told a lie that Doesn't hurt instead of the truth the boyfriend did nothing worng put yourself in his shoes imagine how embarrassing it would be for someone to come to your house and tell you your house decoration genuinely scared them.

Okay your girlfriend's apartment sounds awesome! I love the sound of the bathroom. My office which I share with my husband has a wall of butterflies and moths as well as a bookcase I use to display animal skulls and some small taxidermy pieces, and our living room has Fandom stuff in it along with several bookcases overflowing. It's a mash of pokemon, WWE, Adamms family and any room you look in has something nightmare before christmas related. It brings me joy and we have people over all the time.

I can't imagine being a contractor and trying to do the same thing to people when you're not making that much money by screwing them over when you could easily be making more money by doing your job properly the first time. I grew up with my adopted Grandpa and his sons having their own construction company and they did all the work themselves except for plumbing because they didn't have a plumber in the family. They just said basic instruction roofers and electricians in the family. They always get the job done quickly and properly and never screwed anyone over. From the best of my knowledge I actually believe they even built each of their own individual homes we/they live/lived in

I'm closing in on 40. I'm single so I have a toy net filled with stuffed animals, fairy lights everywhere, butterflies on the walls, flowers on the wall and a canopy bed that I made

Story 1: My Parents had a pool put in awhile back and there were so many delays with the pool because the company my Parents chose kept making excuses why they kept delaying the work. My Mom literally had to micromanage the whole thing to make sure everything was done the way her and my dad wanted it. The first thing the company did was knock out the retaining wall before digging the pool. The company had no plans to rebuild the retaining wall. When the Inspector came the first time he called them out for not having plans to rebuild the retaining wall. For Story 3: My room has several holographic pictures Anime Pictures on my wall.

I broke up with an ex because of this. He judged me for how I was living. Thing is, HE wanted to host a work gathering at MY place, and yet wanted me to “put away a bunch of stuff” in my apartment. I told him off and broke up with him after he called my tastes “strange and juvenile”.

Story 3: I think the only thing OP is in the wrong for is how judgemental he is towards his girlfriend's interest. Protecting his colleagues from being horrified and preserving his career's appearance is fine, but the way he put it sounds like he doesn't like that she has interests. Yes, she kept pressing, but she deserved an explanation. The one OP gave her was just a jab at her happiness. All he had to say was that it's not a professional enough environment for his work colleagues. That's it.
Story 2: I lived in japan for almost a decade. There are cases of self entitled people. It's usually mothers of young children and men over 45. Mothers are rare in Japan so it is very rare to find a situation unless you are in areas where there are lots of children which is away from where most tourists go. The 45+ Y.O. entitled men are more common and they are not affraid to step on you, shove you or hit you in the train especially if you are female in your early 20s. But the most entitled part is that they have the audacity to treat you like a child and scold you when it is not your fault so aside from entitlement they are gaslighters.

Then again, like the narrator's friends, I visit once every year for 3 to 4 weeks and have never had a similar thing happen to me. Story 3: I can see both sides here. OP does not get to decide what his girlfriend can or can't have in her apartment, that's her decision. However, I completely understand that the apartment is not a suitable place for meeting with colleagues in the slightest. What happens to this meeting now this OP's choice and responsibility. (On a personal note, I get decorating your place, there's anime drawings I made myself and figurines in my room too. The girlfriend's apartment sounds horrifying to me, but if it's what makes her happy, she should stick to it.)
Story 5: The friend is being plain creepy and she's getting dangerously close to stalker behavior. If she doesn't improve, I wouldn't blame OP at all for not wanting to be associated with her.
Story 6: This bridesmaid is being super entitled. The wedding or anything that goes with it is about OP and her significant other, NOT about you or anyone else. Bridesmaids are there to HELP the bride, not to draw attentions to themselves. The 'friend' here is the jerk.

Home decor story: No, you are not the jerk telling her that her decor is the reason why. But what makes you a jerk is judging your gf so harshly on their personal tastes. The OP kinda sounds like a tight ass who enjoys completely blank walls and no comfort within their living space. Video game story: you should start badgering her anytime she does something that doesn't involve you. Like if she's watching TV or reading or on her phone. Ask her why she's not paying attention to you and not watching or reading or looking at stuff together. Ask her if she hates you and all this. If she's smart, she will recognize what you're doing. Or talk to her like an adult and tell her what's what. Friend story: Sarah is a narcissist. Clear cut. Who cares if you upset her by saying what you want. That's her problem and not yours. She wants to take the rejection poorly. That's her issue. Wedding dress story: Your bridesmaid is a bitch. She gets to feel a little hurt that you didn't include her. But to go full meltdown and try to make it about herself is uncalled for. Drop her and then if you think you should, apologize for not including the others while shopping.
