I grew up smoking candy cigarettes I ate the chocolate ones and pretended to smoke the chalky ones when you put them in your mouth and blew smoke would come out pretend smoke from the candy,but we thought we were cool pretending to smoke them. Then you ate them. half the candies on here I grew up eating. I'm still alive

When you talk about banned do you mean banned in other countries or specifically in the US because some of these candies are still on shelves and advertised heavily.

Loved my candy cigarettes when I was a kid and yes I ended up smoking for 45 years.
Its like y'all assume people eat some these candies breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Candy is an occasional treat. Now for kids I can definitely see the concern

You can still find candy cigarettes. A ice cream/candy truck in our neighborhood sold them the last time I checked. A local mom paid him $10 to not sell them. He took the money and sold them anyway. Just sugar sticks, and they do not lead to smoking later in life. Not at all. I’ve never smoked a real cigarette of any type….ever…..and I loved candy cigs as a kid…and yes….I used to pretend they were real.

Any candy or food with lead in it, needs to have it removed. I do like Smarties, but why on Earth would anyone want to snort them?! I've tried candy cigarettes and I have no interest in smoking at all and is there a reason why seemingly no one wants to use honey as a sugar alternative for candy bars?

Okay some of the candles on this list are very understandable to be banned. But seriously, Take 5? Milky Way? Those were never meant to be banned from the market because it’s basically saying that all candies need to be banned. This in turn would make life miserable for many people to enjoy them.

Candy cigarettes probably was an irresponsible invention looking back now , but they didn't do any harm to anyone. Having said that , because my mom was a non smoker and thought smoking wad an evil vice along with drinking alcohol , she never let me or my siblings try the candy cigarettes.

I don't think citric acid is a preservative, I'm pretty sure that's what made it sour.
Where I live there we have something called zombie chew it is similar the toxic waste chew but probably less sour, they were available in my school canteen but the school didn't allow them later on probably because they might have had a lot of lead like the toxic waste chew bars did
