A nice day of fishing sounded like just the thing to soothe the nerves of our weary Survivors, but it looks like fish aren’t the only things that are biting. Luckily there’s something to distract them from their soggy seafaring sorrows - the return of Winter’s Feast! And this year it seems that the Constant has provided its own assortment of holiday gifts… could it be that a certain someone is feeling particularly jolly this year?

I really want to play as Wes, just to try him out but I haven't even come close to getting to the second world in the Adventure mode. I know I could just play DST solo but I wanna try and beat the base game first.

I’m so excited for this update. Also - poor WX they’re such a sweetheart in this short. They look so scared about the water and boat incident.

Now looking at this from years later I realize, this is the only Don’t Starve where Wilson is not only enjoying himself while in the constant, but also finds him doing something casual that isn’t science or fighting related.
Whenever Wilson show up I just wonder what's gonna happen to the poor guy next XD really liked that transition though! A lovely shift to Winters Feast :D and more doom for Wilson XD

Love this update trailer, in typical Klei fashion it's so cute, but still has the sprinkling of the usual Constant chaos we love XD
I like to think that events in trailers, gameplay and animations are the *true* canon. That Wilson, Wigfrid and Winona were the first one to discover the Lunar Island. That Willow really burned down the entire base when Wickerbottom panicked, WX-78 just stared at the fire, and Wilson danced. That Webber who got into the current team (which we see in the trailers) woke up at the very beginning of his journey after his resurrection in the middle of winter and he had to run away without any equipment from Dearclops. And that the Jury-Rigged Portal was created only on the mainland, so many characters from DLC could not get to it. And that any other playthrough is one of the many alternate realities that ether happened to the characters from this channel or branched off and became your new story.
This may sound obvious, but I am pleased to believe that our true heroes have been to all these situations from the channel, and I'd love to try to understand how they got into them.
I'm sorry if there's any mistake in this comment. Please, just keep creating your wonderful game for all of us.

I love the fact Klei is making DST a brand new game rather than making it a multiplayer version of shipwrecked or hamlet. But I still hope they could add house system into DST.
I agree with said shit post. I mean they could have taken the time and money to build on lore and by not making the sailing so pointless they could have added more islands and better boat system for quick exploration rather then waste time with filling the ocean with useless fish.
Seriously, I find the lunar island so refreshing yet so empty still at the same time.... But nope let's fill the ocean with fish just cause someone had to say... "Gee klei such an empty ocean and no fish?" Burn in hell for giving them the idea that this is what people wanted. Anytime there is fishing in a game (stardew valley, graveyard keeper, Minecraft) no really does fishing unless it's to get an achievement.
I like that they added mobs to the ocean cause that is don't starve... Everything is out to kill you... But there is really no reason for me to catch the fish if I run a 100 day game. It's lately just looks and cosmetics that seems to be a huge driver and not so much added content to enhance long term game players to keep them excited and entertained. But I get it... Sometimes it's a rut feeling for game developers to keep working on the same game and running into bugs and crashes that come at a cost when developing new content.
Finally another trailer with WX-78 in it, I swear my favourite robot doesn't get enough love.

You guys really deserve the reward for creatods who even after all these years, update their game frequently and add new content. I feel sorry that I don't find that much time to play DST, but I have never felt for a moment like it was waste of money.

the true Klei team that I no longer recognize the game, I would never have imagined that it would have so many great changes. I've tried it a long time ago on a friend's pc. I hope to buy it one day if they release a Game of the Year version with all the dlc. Greetings from Uruguay.
