Just heard Frank Marino will not be touring anymore due to an undisclosed debilitating condition...Live at the Angora Theater is his last live performance...all our prayers to you Frank! We love you!!!
Thee top LIVE album in my catalog dating back to 1978 still stands today. My brother was on leave from the Army and came home for a weekend in a car wide suspected by all of us to be a stolen car . . This was in the cassette player. This cassette did NOT make the return trip to Fort Bragg on Sunday night . I swear I didnt steal it from the stolen car , but it just didnt make its way back in there . I discovered it days later and havent stopped listening since. My brother walked among sinners and prayed with the saints . He was no angel by any stretch. Miss him dearly .
My very first concert was Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush 1977. Was a great and memorable performance. Aerosmith headlined and showed up falling down drunk. If it hadn't been for Frank, it would have been a total waste of time and money. To this day, I feel that the members of Aerosmith owe me $7.50...the price of the ticket.
Absolutely heavenly jam I have ever heard. Guitar shredding at its best - accuracy, speed, and unbelievable control. This is real Rock n Roll without a doubt.
What a story this musician had. I loved the Hendrix hype, and all that stuff. Thing is Frank and his band could slay. Top notch musicianship and passion♥️
Got turned onto this album by one of my cousins in 79 or 80, went out & bought the cassette, remember those? Took it to college & turned on all my friends who listen to the same kinda stuff I did. We'd go out, get high, and then listen to this plus other bands, Kansas, Rush, Angel, etc... Great memories!
Since 1981 while in the USCoastGuard. I watched them in 2003 San Diego, South Mission Beach club, 300+ close stage..JAM the greatest live music experience of my life! This is my favorite live album.
I have not listened to this one for several years because it just blew my mind back then and I wanted to make this one last. Played it today after a good 15 years or so and WOW!~~~!!!!! this is the shizzzzz!
Wade Boone also there, Rock and Roll Marathon with Angel , Humble Pie , Mothers Finest , and Headlining Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush, duuuuuuuuuuuude, seriously Frank killed it
Great Southern Music Hall - downtown Orlando - warm up movie Rainbow Bridge (no kidding) then Frank, rock solid performance- credits on the album- Thanks to WORJ
At 6:00 it's a mxr blue box (pitch shifter) that's how the pitch got really low as he was doing volume swells . (Don't quote me, but that's what it sounds like to me). The Pitch shifter was getting popular then, Jimmy Page used it too. I had one, wish I still had it.
Now tell me if this guy is not one of top guitarists of all time

Controlled madness in the best of ways. Frank and his guitar speak a language we can all understand.
