Sad to see that there were food items that could have been given away. We are definitely a nation of waste..thanks for sharing this abandoned place with us.
Hey Wallie, I love thus channel. You always seem to find something in Jackson, TN. Good ol' Jackson, about 45 minuets west of me. I commented on a video or the Facebook group about the Shoneys in Columbia TN a few months ago....well it's hurting worse than this Shell....that shoneys is now gone. As in nothing left. Its a parking lot now. Anyway keep up the great work and stay safe.
@Pooh N' Ponies Jackson is a nice little city with something for everyone. I am in the map dot of Decaturville, TN. To us Jackson is the city. Not too big but way bigger than our no red light town.
I'm honestly surprised no one broke in, considering there's still food in there. I give you props for your "don't take anything, leave as-is" attitude. Love your videos.
My guess by looking at the old newspaper and how everything looked inside that shell station probably closed somewhere between 2013 to 14 or maybe 15 at the latest awesome video bro 👍
Wallie 💕 this video about the the shell station in Tennessee live in Smithville Tennessee myself 💕 you and Kayla tell her hello and God bless both of you
I moved to this area from newville pa near Carlisle pa in 2011 and work in Jackson tn. It’s a drive to get here from there about 12 to 13 hrs. There is tons of good paying jobs here but one of the biggest things to get used to here compared to pa is the weather. It is hot here in summer heat indexes over 100 degrees sometimes and severe weather is a normal way of life year round except a low in the summer I’ve seen us have tornadoes in the winter spring and fall you just get used to keeping up with and it gets normal after awhile. In pa the only thing weather wise to track is snow which we don’t get much here we have an annual snow fall average of around 3 inches
I always try to say good morning to everyone at work and it feels good!If you do move to Texas,I'm sure you'll still be a Steelers fan.Awesome video!.Surprised no one broke in and took the food and drinks.
Every single page on a newspaper has the date. Looks like a modern design station. I love the old service stations with the attached garages. Grew up with those.
First of all, love your Pittsburgh accent! It kind of makes me homesick. I lived in the North for a long time and agree with you about southern people. If I had a choice between living in Texas or Tennessee however, I would live in Tennessee. Great video bud! You made an otherwise boring old gas station interesting.
Moved here in 2011 and love it just get used to hot weather and severe weather but can’t beat cost of living and the people. This state is great if you love the outdoors, campgrounds are all great and we have mountains in the east and plains in the west and lakes everywhere.
Wallie I use to watch the Steelers back in the seventies, they were incredible. The only team that gave them a problem really were the Dolphins. Always enjoy your episodes, take care 👍👌
OMG that's a a lot of stuff left in there! WOOF! 4:16 Blimpie Catering signs - WE HAD BLIMPIE Sandwich shops here! That's weird tho seeing that Subway signage, maybe they did a partner thing. Had subways near me that'd combo with TCBY Yogurt.
Thanks for sharing wallie it sad that the food was not giving to homeless people or something else it was cool to see this gas station with you thanks again.
I welcome you to Texas!, I’ve lived in Arlington all my life, and I can’t complain! :), there’s an abandoned Shell Gas Station next to Arlington High School if you get a chance to check that out before its fully demolished
A great video, Wallie! It's really surprising that the ugh left everything inside the abandoned Shell gas station. They could've given the food and pop to people who are less fortunate. It's a shame to see all the food and drinks go to waste. Have a Shellicious Day! Have a KMartlicious Day!
It's called southern hospitality my friend I live in Georgia and I just love it never really been up north but down here it's super nice and peaceful and Tennessee is like my second home I love Tennessee such a nice place to get away to.
Good find for sure Wallie, thanks for getting out there for us! Yes Sir, good old fashioned southern hospitality, can’t beat it. Come on down to Georgia, you’ll see.. 🍑
I'm right there with you on people up here. They couldn't be nice if their lives depended on it. Hopefully they will hear your wise words in this video, and will be inspired to change their moods.
I could see the colors so I would know it was shell Also why would they keep food that clearly expired a long time ago they could of donated it way back then Anyways nice video
The People Working At The Shell Gas Station Should Have Took The Food And Drinks To An Open Shell Gas Station Too Sell The Food And Drinks And Not Have Let The Food And Drinks Spoil.
Good video! Too bad that food could not have been given the the homeless and poor people! What a waste and what a mess this place is! I would hate to buy it and try and clean it up!
I agree. No matter what the situation was that made the place close, the food... regardless of being junk food or not... could have been donated to people who would be happy to have anything to eat/drink.
Im surprised they left it not boarded up which is standard policy . when a gas station closes they are to board up all the windows and doors their to board up the pumps until a company comes to remove them and tank removal is because their not allowed to leave them underground incase of leakage and its not gravel when tanks are removed they use sand to fill in the excavated hole and thats after the ground has been tested 4 times to make sure of no contamination of surounding land or water table .
I also heard that gas stations usually make a lot of money off of merchandise because when people go to get gasoline the owners of the gas station want the customers to buy there merchandise so they advertise what they sell at a low price.
Funny thing, there is this gas station in my neighborhood that was abandoned in about 07-09, and it was a Texaco station. Weird thing, it was very small, and only had two double sided pumps. I think it was abandoned because of the size.
Wow what a waste of good food & drink, they should of donated it to worthy causes.I absolutely adore these videos especially the abandoned petrol station vlogs. 😀😀 Brilliant vlogs, they are so insightful & tell a tale of what once was.
I don’t think I would want to eat the snack cakes. Maybe molded by now. Nasty. That was a great find. I have watch many of your videos and in the bigger abandoned buildings when u walk upon it I cringe because I think u will find a dead body r dead animal. But I do watch until the end.
Wallieb26 if you look at Street view on Google Earth you can see that the gas pumps at that abandoned Shell gas station in Jackson Tennessee are still there with the big sign that used to say the price of gasoline or diesel fuel.
I very sad to see a shell gas station in Tennessee going out of business. Usually gas stations will eventually if they are not getting enough business they will try to expand and put more gas pumps in or move to a different place that has more space to expand.
Sad to see that there were food items that could have been given away. We are definitely a nation of waste..thanks for sharing this abandoned place with us.
Nothing like southern hospitality

Thanks 😊

They could of moved the food to another store or donated it to a food bank. Such a waste!!
I wish they would’ve. And they could’ve given them to shelters, churches, nursing homes, daycare centers, prisons.

I believe I've seen one but I've never been to Mimi's.

Hey actually Wallie I have found some info on this gas station and it actually was a bp, then it was a shell.
