Brian, I'm glad you mentioned about the fiesta TCM. Did my first one today and just couldn't figure it out. Even though I could retrieve codes and see Data when I would program IDS would say unable to communicate. Was able to update the PCM without any issues. I was even able to perform the TR relearn on the TCM to be able to start the vehicle, but can't seem to program.
@@BrianMann216 first when I got there they had a used one installed and IDS said to program a blank computer so I told them it had to be new and I still had a problem when they got me a brand new one from the dealer.

My husband has a 2010 Cadillac SRX that he got from a lady the she Siam that she drove it to the store in came back out in the battery was dead so her husband went to go get a new battery in she drove home came back out the next day in push the button in the lights are on but only get a click every time so my husband got it in change the starter instead of the same click every time you push the button do you have any idea what could it be?
Hi Brian , i have a 2012 Toyota highlander thats kicking my butt . Its an antitheft issue . All keys got erased form the certification ecu, vehicle came in no start . Checked data ecu and found 0 keys programmed. After diag found certification ecu at fault . Tried all keys lost with used ecu but got error . Am I missing something when it comes to programming used ecu ? Or should i just go with a new certification ecu ? Sorry for high jack your comment section . Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I would make sure that the used ecm has communications and all functions without the programmed keys before you move on....this will help you narrow down your trouble tree
Thank you guys , i do have comms with the certification ecu . The used one i got had 2 keys programmed previously (shown in data) I tried to do a ecu reset (16min procidure) but got an error . So i swapped the s93c86 eprom(holds key data) from module to module . In the process i think I overheated the eprom because now both modules show 0 keys programmed. I got abother used certification module on the way , this time ill try to the the "ecu communication id reset " and see if that mates all 3 . ecm , id box and certification ecu . 🤞 . Any other suggestions?

Not yet , I sent the module out for inspection / testing... AND it is not bad!! So i am going to have to schedule a trip for more testing once i get the module back... I thinking to overlay a can bus for ECM TCM FCIM and GPCM.
@@BrianMann216 it can never be easy or just give us a break. I recently did a bcm on a 2020 f350. Couldn’t finish programming due to TPMS issues. Of course all sensors are good and RFA is good. Even get the training completed message. So another bcm it is 🤣

to find the grounds faster in identifix, if that is specifically what your after click ground distribution instead of engine controls

Make sure no accessories pulleys are stuck,

I am not sure if the ecu needs recomunicated. Thanks the reset between the key reader and the ecm. After that relearn the keys?

when you press start, there is no sound that the starter turns and the control panel goes out

Did they end up fixing the ground or ran a new one?
Not sure , needs to be put on a lift, it was in the street!
The technician that installed the engine left one of the main battery grounds unhooked and sitting on the subframe
