Another great T-Swift song that would shine with the pop-punk treatment is "You Are in Love" from 1989. It's begging to have some heavy guitar backing it. Hope to hear it from you some day, Alex!

Oh hell yeah. This is my favorite song, lyrically speaking, of hers. This cover stands up to it, staring back at the original with eyeliner running down its cheek. This is perfect. You are great. Never stop.

I love these covers. They really help bridge a divide for certain people who may think they don't like certain music.

I think crossovers like this are super valuable to help people recognize when they are hating something based purely on bias. Every genre of music has value and a deep history, and if you can see the parallels between the things you like and the things you hate on, that can be the crack to start to open up and appreciate a wider scope of music.
@@sirjuggles 100 percent. Friends have blind reacted to rock Taylor covers and when they comment on how good the lyrics are they are shocked that it's Taylor Swift (or some other non-rock musician).
Also, it can sometimes take a bad song from an artist I like and "fix" it for me, like this one. Lover was always meh to me, but this is a banger when put in a different context.
I think she will. In her re-release of Speak Now she turned Better Than Revenge and Haunted into rock songs. And Reputation was always on the rock border. Rock adjacent if you will.

I agree, "Better Than Revenge" and "Story Of Us" are about two steps away from being Paramore songs. Which explains why I liked those songs so much when I first heard them!

I shamelessly love the original. This cover is beautifully arranged and performed. The motif 12/8 ballad translated to math rock arpeggios. The very tasteful reharmonization, and as always your strong drum work in all your videos. It was just a 10/10 for me.
