    I pay 60$ for a full 1h session done by a massage professional , not 30min as its advertised by Aescape. Shouldnt it be cheaper when done by a robot and not cost TWICE as much?

    It’s amazing how this robot spectacularly fails to deliver what massages are really for: to relax. Get in the “cool” clothes, lay down and spend the rest 30 minutes frantically interacting with a tablet. Oh, and don’t even think of closing your eyes as you have to tell the machine where to go massaging next. We give you some nice backgrounds to watch at tough.

    Also no unwanted happy ending offers or touching inappropriately. Proper massages are getting insane here in Australia at $110 an hour. I've just stopped getting them.
    I would personally rather buy one than pay those rates that the video talks about though because I find that too expensive (especially since it seems USA as well, which is just crazy if I convert the currency)

    ALSO, can't those arms snap your spine if they go haywire? Like, pretty sure they are strong AF and FAST too...dangerous....you can't stand near operational machinery normally for this reason.....I understand this is different with different sensors, but whats the max force they can put out? Max speed? etc?

    • @theskeletonboi
      @theskeletonboi Месяц назад +1

      With robots like these, there is constant feedback from the servo motors. This means that you can set a maximum force they are able to exert. Don't see these being that strong anyways. This is common in the industry as you don't want the robot arms breaking things or themselves. I'm sure you could even set a maximum torque mechanically inside the servos if you wanted.

    Wow everyone is so negative. This is incredible!
    Yes it’s not human touch, I know many people who don’t get massaged because they don’t want to be touched.
    Yes you spend the first session messing with the tablet a bit, but it remembers what you did last time so whenever you go you will interact less and less. The price may be expensive to some, but this is reasonable in the UK and it’s new tech, it will come down in price overtime and we will probs all be able to get them at home. I struggle with my neck and back so much and have spent a fortune of massage and chiro, for just once a week treatments. The home tech massages now are rubbish - I’m excited for this and everything AI robotic related. It will be humans greatest legacy if we can embrace and not be so scared and cynical of change. The possibilities are honestly endless!

    It’s strange that this and the other massage machine I saw don’t use springs of any type when applying pressure. It seems it would have been far better to have a spring system on the parts that touch the body to apply pressure and easily be able to reach all of the back.

    • @garthbartin
      @garthbartin 3 месяца назад +1

      I don't think there'd be any point in springs as the robot arms can already arbitrarily tune the pressure applied.

    This concept is quite baffling to me. Stripping away the human touch one AI at a time is a terrible idea. There’s nothing like a one-hour massage from a skilled therapist who truly enjoys their work. Who wants to fiddle with an iPad, adjusting settings while trying to relax? That would only distract from the experience! Personally, I often drift off during a massage, and if something feels off, I can easily signal my therapist without needing to navigate buttons or screens. A 30-minute session feels more like a quick fix rather than a luxurious experience, especially for something that’s marketed as the next generation of massage. It just doesn’t add up-I don’t have time for that!

    As a licensed massage therapist in New York that works for Equinox for the past 12 years I would never recommend this. It’s a bastardized version of a massage your charging basically the same exact rate the reason you guys have a shortage of Therapist is you take the lion share of the profits, no one wants to work for low pay and a hard job on your hands pay your therapist accordingly and those vacancies would be filled what’s gonna end up happening is a minimum wage 20-year-old kid will be controlling the machine for you getting $15 for that hour producing 120 overall for that hour
