Speaking of appreciating. Last week you played a video of 15 year old Steve Winwood. A day or two later a friend of mine was sharing that video to his son who is in a heavy metal band. I have not seen this guy in five years when he came to see me at the funeral home when my mother passed. I have known him for around 37 years. So I responded to that Facebook post saying: "You watch Jamel aka Jamal too?" He said:" Love him... just be a good human." I replied: "Be Humble, Be kind, Sread Joy, Peace & LOVE." He is in Virginia and I am in South Carolina. I just want you to know you are doing something great and I love that. I also think it is great that two old friends have something in common without even knowing it. Thank you.

Crushed on? Really? The "steamroller" hasn't done anything of note with mass appeal in over 20 years since they fired Dennis, who (besides actually founding the band with the Panozzo bros) was unquestionably the leader & provided the signature sound of Styx. Freakin' Larry Gowan and his gimmicky spinning keyboard are a joke. Nothing but a karaoke cover band with bad plastic surgery anymore. Dennis DeYoung however, is actually still making really good original music.

Shaw, Young, and DeYoung probably the greatest vocalist trio of any group. And that intro is one of the best with that staccato keyboard flowing into the acoustic into the slow funk, then it ends on that hard edge. Great song, great band.

Tommy has/had a song on Side 2 (for those that had the record) called "Man In The Wilderness" that I clung to like a life-raft in high school. It was how I felt but didn't have my own words to convey.
Also: Shout out to the Panozzo twins (bassist and drummer) one of the best rhythm sections in rock.

Styx & Rush. 2 of my favorite bands. Grew up in the late 70's and early 80's I was so blessed. Saw them both in concert several times. Floated away on the music, the pot, and my imagination. Great times, youth!

Good stuff! Your music reaction channel is the best IMO. Your motto of “keep great music alive” is what you’re about, you’re not making about yourself. You listen to the song, don’t say how much you liked it or disliked it you just talk about what you heard/saw; make good comments, some funny, some thoughtful and some emotional. I dig it, keep up the good work.
