    I bought my RingConn Gen II in June. I love it, it allows me to wear my watch collection and still collect the data I want. I just don’t think the 3+ months I’ve had the Gen I warrants me upgrading right now. I would agree- the battery. Life is crazy in the newest one, the first gen isn’t bad compared to the competition and the sleep apnea feature doesn’t really do me any good. I applaud them pushing and developing better tech. I just hope they still provide software upgrades to both gen rings for a while.

    • @mlegrand
      @mlegrand  3 месяца назад

      Yes, I agree. Hopefully they'll continue to serve software to the older model. It doesn't feel like a massive upgrade to me. The thinner size is nice but only if the larger sizes are bugging you. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍

  • @vinshan3411
    @vinshan3411 19 часов назад +1

    Hi does it read and alert any irregular heartbeat or arrhythmia? Apart from sleep apnea, are there any early detection of health related issues that the Gen 2 provides? I'm contemplating of getting one but not sure if it's entirely necessary. The only difference I see between the ring and a smart watch, it that I can wear the ring to bed and it can detect my sleep apnea. Otherwise they're basically the same wearables, or the ring has more to offer? Please help me decide. Thanks

    • @mlegrand
      @mlegrand  18 часов назад +1

      Yeah, I think the main benefit is being able to wear this to bed compared to the watch. Otherwise, your watch can track a lot of this exact same data. And no, I don't think this does alerts for irregular heartbeats. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍

    • @mlegrand

      So far this silver has been extremely scratch-resistant. Which is interesting because titanium does tend to scratch easily. I think RingConn also makes a protective case or something odd like that for these rings. I guess you'd use it if you were lifting weights or doing something where you might scratch it up? 🤔

      I've found that marketing departments will claim that it's much more accurate than optical heart rate sensors on watches but in my experiences rings are not as accurate as watches for tracking heart rate in challenging environments. So it kind of depends. When sleeping or at rest, it's good. When playing tennis, for example, it'd be really really bad. But so would every other ring on the market.
