I love how you carry yourself, locs and just everything about you! I honestly just love your channel, it's my favorite to watch. I ordered rose water and vitamin e oil the other day because of you. I'll update you on if my hair likes it ♡
YASSSS hemp seed oil is everything! I usually find myself using hemp seed oil in the fall + winter--which I'm due to getting some soon! It helps with with retaining moisture which I need because I'm low porosity. I usually get mine from Wal-Mart, the Carrington Farms brand and it's cold pressed and organic. It's a 12oz bottle for the same price your paying for Shea Moistures, and you get more!
That's what I do. I take a bunch of oils, blend them together, put them in an applicator bottle and it always lasts me well over a year between each refill. I don't oil it every day, but just when I feel like my hair needs it (as a loose natural and now loc'd).
I use hemp oil daily mixed with olive, rice bran, sunflower, moringa, flaxseed, sesame, coconut, & castor oils. Also in the mix I have 3 ayurvedic herbs. This mix moisturizes and grows very well when applied to the scalp along with rose water.
I live in the uk do you think I can purchase this from amazon? I use Avocado,Carrot,Olive oil daily but I’m willing to try different natural oils for different stages of my journey x
I tried looking as best as I can in your videos but I couldn't see clearly. How long into your journey did the two strand twist start fading? I'm 11 months next week but I have a lot of the pattern still in the bottom part of my locs. So the top half is proper locs and the bottom part is still very two strand twisty
Mass Ramara I still honestly have some that still show the pattern, but they started fading at around 6-7 months for me. Depending on your hair type, it just takes timeee.
I been using that oil for awhile I guess I’m using it wrong cause I feel like it does nothing for me but I feel that way about most oils my hair is so dry
Make sure you always spray your hair with water then put the oil on top 💜 All our hair types are so different! You just have to keep trying new things until you find something that works! Maybe a heavier oil
Thank you for this because my scout has been so dry and flaky. I’ve never experienced dandruff before starting my locs, so trying to find a good balance. I’m two, almost three, months into the journey
Great video and info! When I went natural 7 years ago I used what everyone said to use, the natural hair staples of coconut oil and olive oils. It didn't take long for my hair to not like those oils so I had to switch it up because they seemed to dry my hair out and made it hard. I switched to organic castor oil, apricot seed oil, sweet almond oil - basically any organic oils that promote hair growth. Also I incorporated essential oils. Now that I'm locked I use castor oil sparingly because it's a heavier oil and I don't want build up (that was more the case when I had sisterlocks). I also use carrot seed oil and raspberry seed oil. I've been making my own oil blends for the past couple of years now. Just recently I started infusing my oil blends with dried sage leaves, rosemary, fenugreek, lavender flowers and ginger root. Again - ingredients that promote hair growth, stops hair loss or shedding, help with dandruff or itchy scalp among many other benefits. I put it all in a mason jar and let them sit in a cool dark room for 4-6 weeks before using. There are also herbal hair oil mixes that promote hair growth and stronger hair that you can buy on amazon where you buy the herbs that come in a pack and all you have to do is add whatever oils you choose to use in a glass jar. With this you only have to let it sit for 30 minutes and then you can start using the oil on your scalp and hair. I just purchased this - here's the link: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073S46Q15/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

DAE I finally started my Loc Journey on 9/25/2020 ☺️ I’m excited. I started with comb coil at the salon. My hair was already long and natural.
That's what I do. I take a bunch of oils, blend them together, put them in an applicator bottle and it always lasts me well over a year between each refill. I don't oil it every day, but just when I feel like my hair needs it (as a loose natural and now loc'd).
