Another ditto! My family had a cabin on a lake and we would spend the entire summer there. No phone, no TV, no radio, nothing. Just our books, our games, our joyous chores getting firewood, fetching spring water downlake, an outhouse, bathing in the lake, a canoe, a small outboard, hiking, building forts and treehouses! It was a Peter Pan life. Now 74, I have a cabin or cottage or camp, whatever you call it and for many many years it and the work it involves, has sustained me. Now most of the year I live in the mountains when not traveling with a camper. Yes you hit the bullseye! These places of solitude are sadly missing in many lives. Great thoughts and a great video. Roll on people!
I moved from a large city to the Pennsylvania woods after I had a mental breakdown from having an MS relapse. When i discovered the woods omg i was at peace. It was calming, relaxing and it seemed that my mental health turned for the better. I was so enamored that i connected more with nature thru plants n maybe in the future even dabble in some homesteading n I'm only 35!🤗
This reminded me and encouraged me of what I want to return to someday after I leave Texas for work and find a place like this back home in the woods of Michigan. Everyone thinks I'm crazy. Thanks for validating the healing power of nature on our soul and for giving me encouragement to keep dreaming that I"ll find my cabin in the woods someday soon.......
When I was a little girl my parents and I lived in upstate ny and we rented a red house that was in a rural neighborhood, and it was filled with trees and had a tiny lake, but all the houses had so many trees around them and I just remember feeling so secluded and safe and having the excitement of being able to explore in the woods, that is something that is so cool that kids these days dont get to enjoy, that sense of wonder and imagination, I miss being surrounded by trees again I really do.
We lived in the Western suburbs of Brisbane, Australia. In the rainforest, with creek and mountains and walking trails. That feeling of being snug and safe I understand.
Hey cool place for sure! Our family place was in South Salem, NY on a beautiful place called Lake Waccabuc. Family friends bought it when I was in college. That made me decide, whenever I could I would get a place of my own. Now 74 I have had my place in the Appalachian mountains for 38 years. Dream it and do it. This life is not a rehearsal. Thanks for prodding my memories.
Hello, Trout and Coffee inspiration! So beautiful and peaceful! I'm retiring on August 30th. I have been a teacher my whole life it seems. I home schooled my children and 17 years later I went to college and became a teacher. Moving forward, we live in a place in the boonies and I have been working on putting together rooms to have people come to heal from a hectic world. We will have cabins off the grid with breath taking views and solitude. I am retiring from the Job Corps where you work with broken down lives who need healing and away from it all. Your channel inspires me to move forward with this plan because there is so much pain that needs to have a peaceful place to heal. Thank you, young man, for inspiring us all.!
I felt the same way when my husband brought me to his family cabin in the blue ridge mountains. Our goal is to buy our own cabin soon, I can’t imagine living any other way. We’re going to the family cabin in a few days to celebrate our anniversary. 🥰
Glad I stumbled upon this video. It was very refreshing. Nature can definitely heal the soul and ground us back to our roots and values. And it's amazing how the universe works. The connection and energy you had with the cabin seemed to be vibrating with you, taking you back to where your heart is.
I made it! One year ago I was thinking about moving from the city into the woods, it was my dream. I saw this video and I couldn't wait more... In the next months I found myself living in a cabin in the woods. I just can't find words about how my life changed since i moved. I come back to this video and I see it different, I truly understand. =)
I live the same as you . A daily reset on my existence . Ten mile view of wilderness off the front porch . Blessed ! Silence except what nature provides . 👍🏻🇺🇸
Hi Kyle. You probably dont look at comments from way back two years ago, but I had to say, just in case you do find this, I saved this video so I can listen to the song you wrote and sang, whenever I need to relax and find peace. It truly comforts me. Stay Strong. 💪🙏
I love that song, did you write it? I started singing it and my husband said, honey, your voice never sounded so good, and I said it came from soul. Thank you.
You have changed my perspective on life. The ability you have to take the small details of life and make them the most important thing in the moment is incredible. I've been going through your library for the past month or so, you sir are some I would love to buy a cup of coffee. The Berkshires are a place of utmost peace and beauty.
I like it when he said he comes there for healing. That is sooo true. Always dreamt of living in a mountain range, just living through what nature has always offered.
Such a beautiful story about how you came to know and own this place. One of the sweetest things is the obvious love you have for your dog. Thanks for sharing💓
Video was well made. The tone, the movement, how you highlighted the views, the music, your story behind it and how it moves you. I'm currently saving for my own place in the mountains. I'm so excited I know what I want my life to be at. Thank you for sharing.

Oh wow; I am so proud of young people who seek all-natural ways of healing. Your cabin is beyond beautiful; I love how nature has just hugged it up. What a dream property and you have it decorated in such soothing, calming way. Thank you for sharing this part of your soul with your RUclips fam. My boyfriend has recently been diagnosed with severe clinical depression and he turned to very hard street drugs. He now has been dealing with bouts of Psychosis as a side effect of not sleeping for four straight days and three nights; hardly eating or drinking either. I have been searching and researching for ways to start that deep healing on the inside. Getting back into nature with absolute peace , surrounded by nature's quiet. I feel like that would help him beyond words. We don't own a cabin but we are able to go hang out a few days at a pretty awesome campground nearby. I feel a little crisp, wintry night air, and stacking some wood to chuck up on the fire is in our future. Grinding up some coffee beans, bacon sizzling in the skillet! Walking through the woods looking at pure, homegrown, untouched nature. There's nothing like it to soothe a wounded soul.
You’re part of a dying breed of wanderers. I love the books, the subtle symbolism...sign me up! I could use a week to disappear into a bucket of coffee and some Thoreau.
I don't believe it's dying. Don't fear, The American woods are alive with wanderers. There are more wanderers today then since the late 1920's till WWII started.
Not all who wander are lost ( from The Hobbit, I think!) I saw a book with Thoreau's name on your stack. A favorite quote of his: "In Wildness Is The Preservation of the World." You are a wise old soul, young man. Thank you for the beautiful message.
Loved seeing your books on Thoreau! I have been watching your videos for a while and I’ve always thought that your perception of the healing powers of nature reflects Thoreau’s philosophy on how nature is the core of everything. When I watch your videos, I feel the same sense of wonder as when I read Thoreau’s ‘Walden’. You really know how to “live deliberately” You’re a true modern transcendentalist!

Simply beautiful, that's what I needed today, is to watch this in the morning as I woke up... get away in my mind and get away in my dreams.. Get away and dream of starting a different life again!
I remember that feeling when I drove into Lake Tahoe and it always brought me such great peace and reflection, so I really relate! It’s amazing how we find our true home and it comes from within, your a old soul young man !
I live in Florence not far from you and have walked, hunted and fished the woods near you in what we call the hill towns. Sometimes just stopping looking and listening to the woods talk, brings a calm and peacefulness to me. Mother Nature provides so much. Thanks for your videos it helps me want to be in the woods.

That's a lovely place you have and I love that you just go out there by yourself and only take your dog with you. Being in solitude in nature can be healing. Just being there. My parents have a wooden cabin too and I remember when I walked in the woods there one day and experienced real silence for the first time in my life. I had never heard nothing but my own breath and the ground cracking beneath my feet. It was a bit scary at first but I now need this experience every now and then to stay sane in a noisy loud world.
So happy to see a new video. I was wondering when and if something happened. Glad to see you're healthy! I love how much love you have for Huck! Says a lot about you. Thanks for sharing!
The crack of that match, the sound of your voice, the Tibetan prayer flags. It reminds me of a homey grounded Buddhist monastery. Thanks for sharing. So beautiful.
Beautiful story, beautiful cabin, beautiful river, beautiful land, beautiful soul... it's the only way to feel peace... it has saved me many times... I will be finding a cabin of my own very soon... many blessings to you🌈
Very nicely done. The sacred fire and water flowing. A healing space. Everything right on except for what you were pouring into the Glass. That can be a great distraction and I hope for the new year you are clean and clear in your love of life. Blessings
I hike a ton in the Berkshires, one of my most memorable climbs was climbing Mount Greylock on New Year’s Eve. I was along in a snow storm 3000 feet up and I was so happy. I drove from cape cod where I live, after being home on break from nursing school in Boston, and I caught a fever for the type of calm and quiet that you feel out in the mountains and this is the closest thing I’ve felt to that feeling in a long time. Much appreciated.
This was delightful footage. Plus your wording - this cabin in the forest is surely a place to unwind. It was meant to be yours. Nice song at the end. Thoroughly enjoyed this. Kind greetings from Switzerland.
Your dream has been my dream for almost 20 years. You are a blessed man. I grew up on a river too... every word you speak resonates with me. Some day... some how... some way.
DAMN GOOD KID CHECKING IN!! My god, how I’ve missed watching your videos. Good to see you’re back and doing well, brother. it’s been a while, maybe a little too long, but no complaints from me. SUPER GRATEFUL 😁

55 years ago my husband and I drove up into the mountains and built a cabin on a lake which had only one other cabin..our dream escape..now that lakei is called lake Tulloch and is ringed five deep with houses and there is no silence..we had our dream for a while
wow i loved everything about this video. the quality of the camera is obvious haha but the actual content is what i came to speak of. the tone of your speaking voice and the scenes in the video were so calming. i could probably watch this all the time. i stumbled upon it after looking to finish out a shed/cabin shell, and I just found myself at peace watching it. then i foud the song about listening to youself and that also spoke straight to my soul. we live in a very populated are and it is hard to just be in the moment with so many distractions all around 24/7. The coronavirus took a lot off my plate, which i am thankful for, and now i find myself wishing for more to go too.....maybe a place in the country is what my family needs. thanks for sharing
Thank you for sharing your story. It so eloquently encompasses the message you meant. I grew up spending much time at my aunt's cabin and miss those feelings, smells, and sounds that come only when you're in a place like that. So special, very nice 🤗
This is one of the most inspiring videos I have watched. This is my fantasy. This too is what I love. Your cabin is better than any mansion at any price.
Beautiful! Like what you said about the water. It's spiritual, cleansing! If that's where ones heart and mind is. Really lovely thanks for sharing! The journey in itself is magical really.
Agree. So many cottages have become completely modernized houses on waterfront -- a great place for families to gather, but not a retreat. A place like yours, kept simple, is quite refreshing.
hollywood television will teach you that living away from the city is full of monsters and that its boring. Try it, stay in a cabin in the woods for a weekend... on your days coming up to your vacation fill your mind and soul with positive thoughts and energy, surround yourself by positive people. You will come back a different person.
If only I could live in a place like this, with a dog and edible plants in the garden. Why does it seem so impossible? Something you only see on youtube?
We all dream of this because we live in the city, full of pollution and noise...but basically if all humans did this, there wouldn't be any forests anymore ...so you're right, that isolation and connection to nature is super hard to find today. We're a lot of people on this earth right now 😊

I was so enamored that i connected more with nature thru plants n maybe in the future even dabble in some homesteading n I'm only 35!🤗
You did good from doing yourself some good - your channel rocks ADHD gardener!
I’m glad you found your peace! I want to homestead and I’m only 23!! I wish you the best
I agree. There’s nothing better in life than a cabin on the river with a loyal loving dog 🐕
13 cats... ☝️😬
Amen
I appreciate that people do enjoy the little things in life
This reminded me and encouraged me of what I want to return to someday after I leave Texas for work and find a place like this back home in the woods of Michigan.
Upstate NY is so nice I love getting out of the city for hiking trips - there are so many unique places with few or no people
Hey cool place for sure!
Omg! Your best one yet! This video has washed over my broken soul. I feel better already. No better cure than nature.
Amy you should watch Jonna Jinton on RUclips. Her videos feed the soul.
No neighbors with incessant dog barking. You have found your solitude. Amazing.
@Thoreau that's the culture around my area and town they neglect dogs.
I felt the same way when my husband brought me to his family cabin in the blue ridge mountains. Our goal is to buy our own cabin soon, I can’t imagine living any other way. We’re going to the family cabin in a few days to celebrate our anniversary. 🥰
Happiness is a Human Being, not a human doing. Yes Cabins are great no matter the age. Cheers
My soul longs for just this...a cabin, my pup and a river.
This was beautiful! You’re blessed to have this peace.
Glad I stumbled upon this video. It was very refreshing. Nature can definitely heal the soul and ground us back to our roots and values. And it's amazing how the universe works. The connection and energy you had with the cabin seemed to be vibrating with you, taking you back to where your heart is.
This video, your voice and positive concept on life is so calming💕💕.
Awesome video, awesome place, awesome song!!!
You should have a link for your song
You bro, are a man to my heart . . . Cabin, Nature, whiskey, incense, candles, doggie, books . . . That's true life my brother ! Love your video

Michael Angelo Good for you 😊 I bought my dream cabin 2 years ago. I’m 51 and never felt better in my life. 👍
Thank you.
@David Z do you know what its called? I've tried to find it for more then a year now, its like an itch that I can't scratch!
Everything happens for a reason ✨ Sometimes, it just takes a little while to see it.
Omg there are "normal" guys out there😻 who love nature and piece! Sending you all love and best wishes! 😊
You have changed my perspective on life. The ability you have to take the small details of life and make them the most important thing in the moment is incredible. I've been going through your library for the past month or so, you sir are some I would love to buy a cup of coffee. The Berkshires are a place of utmost peace and beauty.
Very inspirational video, I’ve wanted my own off grid cabin for some yrs now. You said exactly what a cabin can do for you. 👍🏻
I like it when he said he comes there for healing. That is sooo true. Always dreamt of living in a mountain range, just living through what nature has always offered.
Very jealous..... the cabin, the scenery, the creek. Nothing better. As you said, something about sitting quietly watching the water roll and flow by
Dont be jealous my friend, be inspired...jealously is destructive and will quietly eat you from the inside
This is the most beautiful part of your story - how it was all meant to be from the age of 14 to the present.
Glad youre back man! Its been a while! Happy soul! And an inspiration to us! Keep it up!
Feels amazing man! I truly appreciate it!
@@TroutandCoffee Truly one of the most glorious 4+minutes on video. Superlative content creation, videography, music, & philosophy. Kindly advise what state that cabin is in with the crystal clear mountain waters? My family had houses in Roscoe, NY "Trout Town" USA. Best to you and the dog.Give him/her a scratch behind the ears for me.phil Dick Proenneke, Henry Thoreau, John Muir,& others would be proud.

Greetings from "The Cobden Cottage." This was the first Trout and Coffee Video I ever watched. When I watched it I was still living in Southern California and looking for land in the area I am now. When you said, "I want this to be a place for healing..." I just teared up because that is the same feel and spirit that I imbue my home with...thank you Kyle. Thank you for the inspiration. On some level I might not be where I am now were it not for yours and others like you. - Shane (the proud owner of "The Cobden Cottage") Looking forward to your video premier tomorrow and proud to be a "Damned Good Kid!"
love your personality
Your voice!!!! Beautiful! Love the cabin, river, Dancing Bear picture
I don't usually comment on people's videos but this one really changed me this has always been a dream of mine in life my goal is to live a happy and peaceful life have a cabin a garden a family and this video really took me off the edge and inspired me to fight even harder to achieve my dream i am thankful for you and this wonderful and amazing 5 minute video
Dying breed?
I’ll be there with you .. don’t worry I’m quiete
This is a dream I work towards
Would love to live in a cabin like this one day
I sow your video "How a Cabin Changed My Life" by chance...Subscribed in no time! You are so good man!
You really know how to “live deliberately”
You’re a true modern transcendentalist!
that's what you call peace and serenity mind body and soul that's what my husband and me need were getting old and tiered beautiful place to retire and let all our children and grandchildren come and enjoy the peace and relaxation god bless you. love Gma 🙏👼👵✌
Just found this on You tube. I was really enjoying the woods and cabin right up to the promo of your singing and guitar playing.
What an incredible Cabin, location,… It was absolutely perfect. His voice... he’s like the perfect husband. Namaste
Simply beautiful, that's what I needed today, is to watch this in the morning as I woke up... get away in my mind and get away in my dreams.. Get away and dream of starting a different life again!
Yes just be in the moment anyware feel your every walk instead off rushing about in life before know its time up glad you've found peace
I remember that feeling when I drove into Lake Tahoe and it always brought me such great peace and reflection, so I really relate!
It’s amazing how we find our true home and it comes from within, your a old soul young man !
Great reminders to live life in the present moment without distractions you will find happiness.
Welcome back huck! And congrats on your little piece of serenity here on this earth! She’s beautiful 🙏🏼😌
Raquel Rocky Sanchez thank you so much Raquel! Feels amazing to be back. This place truly is serenity 😌🙌
Dude this Raquel girl wants you and your life. Scoop her up and take her to your cabin...
A lovely Xmas story for tonight...thanks bro
This has to be Massachusetts. Lord I miss my home state and the silence after a good snow storm!
Never felt like commenting on any another video but this. This is so beautiful that I'm literally on the verge of crying.
That's always interesting. Do you live off the grid or can you live off the grid? Just curious feel free to go to Earth Changes Channel read what I'm about in the community section.
Many blessings to you and your loved ones always

What the name of the song played at 3:35? Its amazing!
Thanks a lot Cory! I'm all good! Life has just been hectic! I'll be explaining a lot about everything in upcoming videos!
The crack of that match, the sound of your voice, the Tibetan prayer flags. It reminds me of a homey grounded Buddhist monastery. Thanks for sharing. So beautiful.
Kyle this is literally the dream! So happy for you.
My dream as well! Thank you so much!!
Beautiful story, beautiful cabin, beautiful river, beautiful land, beautiful soul... it's the only way to feel peace... it has saved me many times... I will be finding a cabin of my own very soon... many blessings to you🌈
Your lucky..would love to have a cabin..havent been in one since I was a kid..ppl have forgotten how to live..
Very nicely done. The sacred fire and water flowing. A healing space. Everything right on except for what you were pouring into the Glass. That can be a great distraction and I hope for the new year you are clean and clear in your love of life. Blessings
A boy, his dog and their cute cabin by the river💘🌊
I hike a ton in the Berkshires, one of my most memorable climbs was climbing Mount Greylock on New Year’s Eve. I was along in a snow storm 3000 feet up and I was so happy. I drove from cape cod where I live, after being home on break from nursing school in Boston, and I caught a fever for the type of calm and quiet that you feel out in the mountains and this is the closest thing I’ve felt to that feeling in a long time. Much appreciated.
This was delightful footage.
Plus your wording - this cabin
in the forest is surely a place
to unwind. It was meant to be
yours. Nice song at the end.
Thoroughly enjoyed this. Kind
greetings from Switzerland.
Your dream has been my dream for almost 20 years. You are a blessed man. I grew up on a river too... every word you speak resonates with me. Some day... some how... some way.
Amazing. Didn’t know I wanted a cabin until now, great film.
What an awesome thing to be able to say you have found your peace and inner soul. Much happiness to you
Love this video and I completely agree with you!
wow!! I do that by just watching this video- clean my soul
DAMN GOOD KID CHECKING IN!!
My god, how I’ve missed watching your videos. Good to see you’re back and doing well, brother.
it’s been a while, maybe a little too long, but no complaints from me. SUPER GRATEFUL 😁
HEY HEY!!
I've missed posting so much! I've got tons of new stories in the pipeline, been dying to share!
I always appreciate you stopping by brother! Going to be a wild summer!
Wow! Loved it! Have just discovered Your Channel! To watch you , how it was recoded, everything. Perfect! Congrats to both 🌸
Beautiful cabin man your lucky to own such a thing.
Approaching my senior years and this is exactly what I have in mind...a place for me and my two dogs. Quiet and surrounded by nature.
55 years ago my husband and I drove up into the mountains and built a cabin on a lake which had only one other cabin..our dream escape..now that lakei is called lake Tulloch and is ringed five deep with houses and there is no silence..we had our dream for a while
Other people wanted your dream and ruined it. Same thing happened to us...but the dream was awesome while it lasted.
wow i loved everything about this video. the quality of the camera is obvious haha but the actual content is what i came to speak of. the tone of your speaking voice and the scenes in the video were so calming. i could probably watch this all the time. i stumbled upon it after looking to finish out a shed/cabin shell, and I just found myself at peace watching it. then i foud the song about listening to youself and that also spoke straight to my soul. we live in a very populated are and it is hard to just be in the moment with so many distractions all around 24/7. The coronavirus took a lot off my plate, which i am thankful for, and now i find myself wishing for more to go too.....maybe a place in the country is what my family needs. thanks for sharing
Man you are so inspiring and because of you I started my RUclips channel even with mobile phone
No kidding! that's amazing! Keep on creating!
@@TroutandCoffeeYoshar Good for you, thinking about doing the same
Thank you for sharing your story. It so eloquently encompasses the message you meant. I grew up spending much time at my aunt's cabin and miss those feelings, smells, and sounds that come only when you're in a place like that. So special, very nice 🤗
You are livin my dream, little cabin in the woods with water near and away from the hustle ✌🏻🇨🇦
Cabin over apartment any day every day. I hope I die saying that o never had to rent and that I built my own place
You have an old soul about you, it is very rare now a days, beautiful song at the end.
hollywood television will teach you that living away from the city is full of monsters and that its boring. Try it, stay in a cabin in the woods for a weekend... on your days coming up to your vacation fill your mind and soul with positive thoughts and energy, surround yourself by positive people. You will come back a different person.
This is the dream right here... cabin, woods, river, dog, guitar... can't get much better than that!
If only I could live in a place like this, with a dog and edible plants in the garden. Why does it seem so impossible? Something you only see on youtube?
Dine van Erck Believe me it’s not as out of reach as it sounds. If it’s something you really want do it!
We all dream of this because we live in the city, full of pollution and noise...but basically if all humans did this, there wouldn't be any forests anymore ...so you're right, that isolation and connection to nature is super hard to find today. We're a lot of people on this earth right now 😊
Save up some money and do it ✌🏞
It costs a lot more then these hipsters make it look like.
just a lot of comprises and sacrifices vary from all individuals.
