This is by far the worst airport I've ever used. I traveled yesterday from T1 (october 2023) and it's still like an unfinished construction with a lot of retarded solutions. It looks like someone who was designing it has never used an airport. There are no escalators downstairs, only upstairs. If you're older person or disabled or you have really heavy luggage then you are screwed because there are many levels of this airport and I cannot imagine thousands of people using single elevators in terminals. There's basically nothing before security gates. Only check in kiosk that are empty because.. there are also multiple self-check in machines. Entire area that welcomes you is completely useless. I couldn't find any food except a few little market so there's no chance to buy some food for more reasonable price than in secure zone. I had to move through the security and it was a nightmare - 2 out of maybe 20 security lanes were open. Airport staff was all the time allowing late passengers to go in front of queue so I waited like 1 hour even I was maybe 20 meters away from the security officer. Conveyor belts are SO SHORT that only 1 person can leave it belongings before passing control. It's ridiculous because it takes a while to leave everything in the boxes and multiple people could do it at the same time - well in BER it's impossible. When I was being scanned (they dont have just metal detectors but some scanners that mark suspicious places on the body silhouette) apparently they thought that I'm some terrorist because there were red spots marked on my... both elbows, knee and one shoulder. I was checked manually by 2 officers (I WAS IN T-SHIRT) how the fck I could "hide something" in my elbow lol. Then they allowed me to go further. It took like 2 minutes and queue was blocked for this time. When I was in secure zone of the airport ... there was like no real food courts? A few shity restaurants with overpriced food. I wanted to eat anything, even Burger King or McDonalds and ... it's not here. It's still "under construction". I had to buy vege curry wurst with water for like 15 euro lol (not even a meat). Then I wanted to check where is my gate, it was 50 minutes before boarding so it should be displayed... and it wasn't. Hundreds of people were standing in one spot under one of not so many info panel. There was no place to sit. When my gate was announced it was ... like 30 minutes away from this spot. I had to walk and walk to gate A36 or something that's in the end of the terminal. Some gates have almost no sitting places for passengers. If you go there you are like outside the airport with nothing around (no shops, rare toilets) just an empty corridors.My plane was late because for over 20 minutes ground crew did not set the jetway nor started to gather luggage. Then another 20 minutes of waiting for pushback, then like 10 minutes of waiting for take off clearance... I was over 1 hours late because Berlin Brandenburg has no employees and every single operation is late because there's nobody there to actually work. Tegel was 1000x better.

Hallo liebe Leute, wer ist dafür, dass der Berlin Brandenburg Flughafen geschlossen wird? Abgerissen wird und der Berlin Tegel Flughafen wieder und schönefeld wieder öffnen. Als hauptstadtflughafen Tegel, dass der wieder als zentraler hauptstadtflughafen in Betrieb geht. Dafür brauchen wir eine demokratische Abstimmung
Ich mag das macht mich sauer weil so ein verkaufen sollte man wirklich wieder abreisen und den tgv wieder anschaffen
