Kev: The guy you want standing behind you glowering menacingly in a dangerous situation, but is also probably at home cuddling kittens and puppies and babies.💜
I am not a farmer, nor do I have any intention of becoming one. I'm not a vet either. Why on God's green earth can I not stop watching this channel??? 🤣
Jealous of Craig since Greece and Italy are on my bucket list.! No doubt he had a great "holiday" (aka vacation here in the States..heehee!) and hopefully went on to a few new sites! Course y'all are closer than we are in South Carolina but I would love to see what it would be like trying to make sense of the other's accent (Scottish/Southern)...LOL!
Whoa! That corium was huge! Glad to see she’s all fixed up now and can heal. I never knew what the function of the dew claws were for on a cow, now I do. Thanks HGP! Welcome back Craigie Boy!!!
My grandpa used to take care of the feet of our dairy cows. He was take two pieces of fencing and made a kind of shoot When the cows reached the very front, us kids had to hold buckets of feed so the cow was eating and a little more calm. He had this piece of wood like a tree trunk of something like that, (it's been many years) to hold the hoof up. He was really good at it. I really miss him. after working with the cows, we would have a huge steak dinner. We did brand our cows before using ear tags. after that was over, you knew you worked. Then we would have a steak dinner. There is nothing like growing up on a farm.
When I was a teenager I used to help my best mate with hay making, It was a solid day's work tossing the bales into the trailer, and arranging them. It also used to get us fit for rugby season. The food was great, nothing like a traditional farmer's wife cooking, and he had two really cute sisters that didn't hurt the view at all!
I remember awhile back, you had a cow who had a huge ulcer sticking up like that. She was in so much pain she slowly limped as she went along, it broke my heart but you got her in the crush, cleaned and doctored her up and eventually she healed. Thank you for caring for these animals!!! 🐄🐂🐄
Can't believe he got that out with a stright face!! "You do" lol. You guys can take my shit day and turn it to smiles and laughter..... your banter just cheers me right up thank you!!!!! You guys are the best
I grew up in a farming community and never really thought that much about hooves. Since I've discovered your site, I feel horrible for how much they truly suffer. Thank you for being a caring person. And your crew, too.
My dad grew up on a dairy farm and doesn't remember ever seeing that but my grandparents cows only walked on concrete while being milked. The rest of the time they were on green pastures
Hello from Cool California. Found your channel by accident and find it fascinating. I have horses and a lot of what you show somewhat applies to horse trimming. Going to Scotland is at the top of my bucket list as my grandmother was a Hackworth and I find the history of this land inspiring. Screw ytube I am sick of their algorithms BS Keep safe
Ever since I found your videos I just can't stop watching. I know you do this for a job, for a living. But it's just so freaking obvious there's no way you'd be doing this if you didn't have a deep seated love for these creatures. All the best!
What I picked up from this video is the level of team work between the three guys. While Graham was trimming the hoof, Kev could be seen in the background. My feeling is that Kev wasn't just waiting for something to happen but he was carefully watching what was going on. Watching the methods used on the trim and learning. I get the distinct impression that Graham and Craigy-boy do the same when Kev is working. Not to catch each other out, not to criticise but to learn. See if something works better and implement it. The best teams are those that learn from each other and have each others' backs. Keep up the amazing work guys.
Kev is definitely watching. He tends to have the blocks and bandages ready before Graeme needs them but sometimes they get a little out of sync with each other.
I've been watching for years, since the original crush. This might be my favorite trim to date. What an amazing result from what was an absolutely devastating ulcer. Hoping for a good result for the cow and continued growth for your channel!
watching you and your family reminds me of my youth on the Family farms and all of the goings on between uncles and cousins good days even if it was work
You are SO an angel of mercy, Graeme. Btw, I wear my Hoof GP tee shirt, and I’ve been stopped twice when someone recognized it. I live near Cleveland, Ohio, so greetings from your Buckeye followers!
I feel so bad for this cow. Bless you all for your skills to help. Also, wanted to say that I got my order from you the day I got out of the hospital from a serious illness. It made coming home even nicer and I am so excited. My sister is excited because she knows that I wil be giving her the cup I ordered for Christmas. We love you all, take care.
“You do!” 😂😂😂 great comeback! Love the friendship you all have! Laughter is such an important part of life! Thanks for bringing some to mine! ❤Welcome Back Craigie Boy! You look well rested! (And I’m sure you were missed by all!)
I have psoriasis which makes my nails extremely fragile. Sometimes they'll split right down the middle, all the way to be base/cuticle/matrix. One time it got so thin right at the base that it created a hole right next to my cuticle. My nail bed actually came up through the hole. It looked very similar to this. I've broken bones and that didn't compare to the pain that caused. Every time I moved my thumb or put pressure on it, it felt like a hot iron. So, I can imagine the pain this cow is in. Bless you for helping her. (I have pictures Incase y'all think I'm bsing y'all.)
I would love to see this cow again. That ulcer has to be painful. Interesting discussion about her thumbs, aka dew claws. How often do you trim them? How much do you trim? And what's the longest you've ever seen? This film got me wondering. Thanks from Arkansas, USA.
That was a huge one! I'm so glad you were able to take care of it. Nice to see Craig back with you and Kevin. Thank you for taking care of these beautiful cows! 🖤🤍🐄
Welcome back Craig! Also I'm sure she'll feel bettersoon enough, probabl just didn't enjoy the feeling of the ulcer getting brushed, but she'll forget once she realizes she's in less pain, thank you for helping her
Blows my mind how accurate you are with the knife! In some spots seemingly less than a millimeter to play with before it would produce the red stuff. You're accuracy is amazing.
This poor cow, she must have been suffering so much from that ulcer! This must be a horrible case of Digital Demetitis gone insane. I am so relieved for the Cow! The Hoof GP to the rescue! And watching her leave the Crush, it is obvious the pain ahs impacted her appetite and caused her to lose weight. She'll regain her healthy weight now tho!
Poor moomoo. I have never related so much to this animal with that painful foot and am grateful that you were able to bring some relief from that pain.
Graham I am impressed with this trim! Your expertise when trimming so close to that ulcer, just wow! The angle used (from the front, eye level) really showed how you needed to hollow that area out. Beautiful job and great camera work!
I love how you never forget you're working on an animal that can feel what you are doing. You take the teeniest tiniest swipes with the blade and work so delicately around the painful spots. I really believe the cows you work on know you are there to help them and appreciate your tender care. I know a lot of people say "oh, it's just a cow" or "they are ONLY animals" but I believe the way a person treats animals shows their true character. ❤❤❤❤
Something I compare loose jagged hoof horn near/around an ulcer to is a torn hangnail that needs clipping and cleaning up. This comes from personal experience too. I had a little bit of basically loose cuticle/skin on the side of my nail on my thumb, I tore it off, and wound up with a sore, hours to a day later, I clipped the remains of loose skin off and within minutes it felt better. Took a bit to heal fully, I wore a bandage/plaster for about 3 days, and it healed perfectly. Every time I see you working with a cow the has an ulcer with loose horn, I can imagine the sheer relief she must feel to no longer have that wound being rubbed from the raw edges of her hoof.
Kev: The guy you want standing behind you glowering menacingly in a dangerous situation, but is also probably at home cuddling kittens and puppies and babies.💜
I agree with you. He doesn't even look like he has a mean bone in him. ❤😂
So real! 😂❤😊
Stoic
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 b
Kevin is Graeme's wife's brother. I wonder how often Kev gave him that look while they were dating!
I am not a farmer, nor do I have any intention of becoming one. I'm not a vet either. Why on God's green earth can I not stop watching this channel??? 🤣
It is fascinating and his voice is pleasant.
Your right
I'm in the same boat 😅
Same here
Same same
"You do!"
OH NO HE DIDN'T 😂😂😂
Time to get the grinder.
Craig is on his game 😂
Graeme might need a bandage of his own because of that burn.
Well played, Craig !
"Fair point"
Craig with the dead faced “You do” had me rolling! 😂😂😂😂
I cackled! 😂😂
I love their grins❤❤❤❤.
P k
So nice to have the gang together again!! Craigie boy is in rare form after that vacation!!
Oh my the poor wee girl she must be in so much pain. Thank goodness for caring men like you 💗💗💗💗💗

Thanks to both of you for sharing these stories. Your describing lives that I didn't know existed. Thanks again! ❤❤

Wishing The Hoof GP family a wonderful Saturday!!!
Can't believe he got that out with a stright face!! "You do" lol. You guys can take my shit day and turn it to smiles and laughter..... your banter just cheers me right up thank you!!!!! You guys are the best
Its amazing that i can interact with something from across the world, that happened a mere 15 minutes ago.
I grew up in a farming community and never really thought that much about hooves. Since I've discovered your site, I feel horrible for how much they truly suffer. Thank you for being a caring person. And your crew, too.

Welcome back Craig! It sounds like a wonderful trip…so jealous.
Haha nice one Craig! Almost... without a hesitation, you shot that question straight back at him 😂😂
Thank you for all you all do for the cows and Bulls. 🎉🎉🎉🎉.

POOR COW 😢😢
SO GLAD Y'ALL CAN HELP HER.
SPEEDY HEALING 💜
Thank you for showing the dew claw trimming. For some inexplicable reason, I really like it. 😉
I flinched when the piece of hoof horn flew against the camera.
The deadpan way Craig looked at Graeme when he said “you do”. 😂
Ever since I found your videos I just can't stop watching. I know you do this for a job, for a living.

I feel so bad for her. Thank you so much for being her angel and taking great care of her! ❤
Glad to see Craig survived the extreme heat.
I can't imagine the pain she was in, and the relief you bring to/provide all the animals you work on!!💕👏👍💯
I love this channel so much and I thank you for educating people on hoof trimming👍
Certainly has educated me I never imagined cows needed so much intervention 😊
I am literally holding my breath as you trim around the ulcer. It looks so painful.

Kev and Craig also trim the front hooves while Graham does the back ones.
@@poochiew.9302 he does both, depending on what needs to be done
Great to see the crew back together! Or herd, or gaggle, flock, whatever.
I've been watching for years, since the original crush. This might be my favorite trim to date. What an amazing result from what was an absolutely devastating ulcer. Hoping for a good result for the cow and continued growth for your channel!
I absolutely love Kevin and Craigie
Ouchie!!! That's a huge ulcer!!! Great trim as ever. Good to see Craig's tan catching up with yours Graham!
Its always nice to see the whole gang taking care of them cows. You lads are awesome
watching you and your family reminds me of my youth on the Family farms and all of the goings on between uncles and cousins good days even if it was work
If cows could hug I know you would get some many the relief you give these poor cows are amazing I know they are very thankful for you and your crew

Hoof Gp:You have anything you can measure that’s about an inch long…?, Graig:You do, Hoof GP:Fair point. His poor wife lol.

I don't doubt you're telling the truth, but I still want the pictures. 😆
I kinda compare it to a swollen taste bud on your tongue, except you bite it every time you chew... horrible pain, love that you're taking care of it❤
I love watching you guys care for those cows. It blesses me to see your kindness.
Thanks for helping her out
Oh the poor lass she must have been in agony with every step, hope we get an update on her . Great job as always guy's and have a great weekend .
I would love to see this cow again. That ulcer has to be painful.
Interesting discussion about her thumbs, aka dew claws. How often do you trim them? How much do you trim? And what's the longest you've ever seen? This film got me wondering. Thanks from Arkansas, USA.
Great to see the trio together again!! Have a blessed rest of your week-end!
Glad people like you exist. Thanks for sharing.
Looks like you did a great job. I am glad Craigie had a great vacation and Your other sidekick looking great too

Just finished watching The Scottish Open, Congrats!! to all of Scotland!
Editor Graham/Graeme should make more appearances!
Yes, yes, yes!!!
Those dreamy blue eyes.
Yes, those bright green eyes are beautiful!!
I came to say the same thing 😂
@@brandywineblogger1411Honey, those eyes are hazel green. Beautiful but not blue. Lol. I would absolutely love to see more of them though. 😊

Gesundes Gewicht ? Milchkühe sind anders im Aussehen als Masttiere. Sie erinnern oft eher an Kleiderständer. Ist so.
I’m surprised you don’t use a “Loop Knife” in your trimming especially around sole ulcers and the like. They are amazing!
I’m truly amazed at how much I’ve learned from you since the early days. I’m so proud of you for all the help you’ve given these animals! Bravo!❤

you keep doing what you do those poor babies need not be in pain it's amazing how nature works and to have you to help it along is just beautiful 😊❤❤
Wow, nice holiday Craig!!
Thank you Graeme for starting the journey of hoof health. Shout out to Kev ( gentle giant) and wonderful Craigie Boy.
I love watching this channel it's my favourite to help ease my stress and it's so satisfying seeing how much u help these animals
Hi GP you have done a beautiful job carving that sole ulcer ❤
I love how you never forget you're working on an animal that can feel what you are doing. You take the teeniest tiniest swipes with the blade and work so delicately around the painful spots. Another great video! I enjoy watching you guys! Thanks, Graem, Kevin, Craigie, and Graem for sharing your day with us! Love and blessings, boys!❤

Thank you so much again ❤❤❤❤🎉
You did an amazing job fixing the hoof. Thanks for showing the cute guys.
Crikey that ulcer looks mean, hopefully we can catch up with her progress in a follow up. Thanks Graeme, Kev and a bronzed and lovely Craigie Boy! xx
I would love to travel to Scotland someday but disabled now .thanks for your show Ivan see it
Love taking a break from chores and watching you help a big ol girl feel better!

I already agreed with Craig when he said we missed him, but the "you do" just cemented that feeling. Spot on mate!
I appreciate your hard work 😊
I just love it when they look back at you as if to say "thank you".
You really do a fantastic job caring for the cows hooves
STRUTH you learn something new every time. I watch your video's young man. Thank you.
