Honestly, a lot of games had "good graphics for PS2." Gran Turismo 4, God of War 2, Enter the Matrix, Tekken 5, Final Fantasy XII, Metal Gear Solid 3, Okami, the list goes on.
People really underestimated the PS2, because unfortunately, things like Rayman 2 and Devil May Cry 2 also existed.

PCSX2 is amazing. It gives 15 year old games like this a new coat of paint simply by upping the resolution it renders at, and although sometimes the assets don't scale too well with some games with this one it works pretty well!
El mejor juego de toda la saga para mi gusto, me encantó ese juego, me acuerdo una parte donde era todo un laberinto de arbustos estilo residente Evil 4, y una parte donde tenías que luchar contra robots como maniquís, lo jugué cuando apenas tenía 6-7 años, unos de mis juegos favoritos de PS2, y lo guardo como una reliquia casi nueva.

I had the blessing of playing this game. It was my Christmas gift for 2005 and I beat the game shortly before the New Year too. It was that easy and enjoyable. The cherry on the top was shooting Grant dead in cold blood at the very end.

OMG thank you for publishing your settings! I was just getting my RetroArch install up today and had an issue with wacky textures in this game! I did some quick looking around and didn't see them published anywhere super obvious. Hopefully this will get me straightened out

I dont think a game like this will ever come out man, every game these days are the same open world bullcrap
also if anyone struggles to maintain playable fps, even though he followed the settings. If u already in the game, switch on speedhacks, wont affect anything only ull have more fps, also if u have a more powerfull gpu then ur cpu u can help out by switching on 8 bit texture, it helps ur cpu, so u can gain a few fps, also u can disable large framebuffer if u have it enabled, also could help out, and lastly dont use 8x native res. only if u have a gpu to back it up and cpu. Its fairly unoptimized for this game pcsx2 at least on a gpu like mine gtx 1060, cause even though my gpu runs at 60% it cant go above 45fps at 6x native res and most of the games run at this res. for me. Anyway the usage of the gpu is very shaky and therefore a more powerful gpu with this game is recommended i guess. Last step to gain fps is lower the res. to 720p or even native, or 1080p. It was playable for me at 1440p but for better perf. overall i decided to go with 1080p it still goes near 100% on occasion. After these steps never dipped down below 60 so u should be fine too, if anyone cares. Honestly so far the first game to give me this trouble with how it runs. Even GT4 runs at 1440p for me without hassle. 4k if i disable large frame buffer. Anyway the game is looking fine and greatly playable except for these glitches occuring when explosions see the heli fight in this video.
