  • The passionate founder of Waves and Wheels in Osage Beach, Mo., walks around this one-of-a-kind Doug Wright Powerboats 42 Carbon Waves and Wheels Edition catamaran powered by twin Mercury Racing 500R engines. Built in Florida and rigged, painted and assembled in Missouri, the 42-footer was custom-built for Michigan powerboater Dave Burgess, who has never owned a catamaran before this because getting in and out of them is challenging with his physical limitations. Now, with an innovative windshield making catamaran cockpit access realistic, Burgess is ready to enjoy life with his new cat. Get an up-close look at the stunning 42-footer with help from Wagner, who along with a massively talented team around him delivered an incredible machine for an incredible owner.

holy crap I was typing and watching. linear actuators to raise the windscreen that's cutting edge thinking. im not extremely familiar with Doug wright but I will be researching you all in a few moments. I've been a dcb and mti fan but I'm 50 so I grew up with v-hull boats. miami vice scarabs and 50' cary's. I still have the motorboat & sailing issue of the cigarette top gun(my favorite brand ever) when it broke the world record at 90mph. I just looked at it last week. now full canopy turbines are 200+ and Lambo has its own boats not the victory team using countach v-12's. im blown away by the innovation and willing to do one-off ideas without the board members needing to sign off..LOL serious very impressive stuff gents. im stoked to learn all about the company

what an outstanding skater!! wow tech has come so far. I grew up when skater was still Douglas marine and you needed a throttleman and driver! ALCONE MOTORSPORTS with sterling engines. why such a huge move to the outboard? very few skaters under 40' are running inboard engines. this is actually one of the bigger boats I've seen using outboards. does weight savings provide these with the performance of a larger inboard powered boat? again gents really ergonomic and well thoughtout with is so nice to see comman sense in a senseless world now. MEGA. cheers
