- Making a large bowl involves a lot of preparation of the clay. Centering and pulling a clay wall on such a large piece involves careful manipulation rather than brute force. Includes glazing tips and finished piece.
Wow, awesome, love the glaze. You are such an artist. Thanks for sharing. ❤
Such a great videooooo. 10 kg wowowow that’s like a whole bag!
Very nice bowl and video on how to make it. I center smaller amounts of clay on top of each other to build up to the amount needed. It is easier on my body doing it in sections. Folk Art White is a finicky glaze to use, but the darker brown looks really good with your other glazes. Thank you for sharing.
Amazing you can make such a large bowl thanks for the info on using the wall. I'm going to more my wheel I enjoy your videos and find them helpful
I was a nervous wreck watching you throw that bowl. I actually caught myself holding my breath.. Great job and awesome product.
Thanks
Thanks for the video. Amazing and awe-inspiring.
Truley a master of the craft. I have a hard time making my 16oz bowls looking that good. Ty for sharing!
Amazing Vaughan. Meet some potters in Seagrove this week on vacation to warm up !! 😊
Say hello to Matthew Kelly, he has a RUclips channel.
@@Vsmithpots yes I meet him
He was at the Catawba pottery show. We talked about you ! 🤣. It was a thrill to meet him. Just like you Vaughan! I’ve learnt so much from you both. Thank you
I think the bowl is fabulous
Beautiful.
I've been using your wall tip for over a year now. Thanks
Vaughn! Your savage man! Wrestling that 22 pound pug of clay was awesome!
Mostly it is manipulation and sweet talking😃
Truly amazing !!!
Ooo I found myself holding my breath 😂 Soo nice when everything goes according to plan❤
Una obra hermosa !!
I wanted to see how you trimmed the foot on that monster.
I have a 24 inch wide bat, turn it upside down and trim.
I love watching you. Do you ever make flowers on your lids, maybe sunflowers?
Vaughn can make anything.
I would be too worried about them chipping in 3D, may be a painting though.
Just lay a hunk of clay on the lid and carve into it. More like an applicae effect. I've done that, ladies love it.
Just a thought. Oh about the lamp shade, if you put small holes in the shade all over it, the light will twinkle through.
I think your folk art is so whimsical and beautiful. A shade to match the base would be stunning!
Watch for my mug stencil video on horses, there is a lamp and shade in that at the end, crows.@@maryheim8203
How do you trim a piece like that? Do you have to on a pedestal or other structure inside to elevate it?
I have a 24inch bat that I trim on, I also have a chuck if I decide to go that route. Thanks.
