However Ume was given a chance because it was gyuntaro's decision to turn her into a demon. Only she was allowed to go, to the heaven but still deceided to go, to hell with him
The descriptions of hell in Japanese culture makes it a little better since it's not a permanent sentence. Just gotta work off your sins before being allowed to be reborn. So definitely a long time for them but not eternity lol
Just before Gyutaro was beheaded, he said he had to use his circular slashes. The explosion was his body carrying out his last command, minus any control. That's why he exploded.
The moment you find out Ume, Daki, had been burned alive...reflect upon her reaction to being burned, asking her brother to kill the one who burned her... I didn't piece it together until I rewatched the season and Nezuko and Daki were fighting and she mentioned it burning...the realization hit me like a truck and i burst into tears. 💔
Ufotable are innocent XD. they are just animating an existing story. if you want to go after someone, then you have to go after the mangaka (her name is Koyoharu Gotouge) 07:30 , it's not mentionned in the anime, but since you asked, the reason she stabbed the samurai in the eye was because he kept insulting her brother. for all the evil they did, Daki and Gyutarou really had an extremly tragic story. i know it doesn't forgive what they did, but at the same time, it's not hard to show them some sympathy that they were deprived. oh, and they couldn't go towards the light together because.... well.... they killed and ate scores of innocent people. they can't just get away with all that murder. they still needed to pay for their sins. the light was granted as option only for Daki, because she didn't choose to become a demon. Gyutarou made the choice for her, and we saw with Nezuko that no matter how good of a person you are, the demon instincts pushing one to devour humans are pretty much impossible to fight and supress. not to mention, Daki was transformed at such a young age, and her mental age was kinda stuck at that moment, which is why her personality in this season is that of a brat at times. in short, she wasn't really responsible nor aware in away of being a demon, and the price was placed solely on her brother since he ultimately made the choice for her, and he recognized and accepted it, which is why he wanted her to go to the light without him

He saw himself as being the one to lead his sister, Ume, down the path that she went. He decided to become a demon which led to her following in the path he walked. It was so beautifully shown when he had that moment of reflection, realizing that maybe if he never was a part of her life, that she could of ended up different, happy and never the demon she became. The fact he stands in the darkness and she stands in the light when they find one another in the afterlife is such a beautiful showing of how they truly were. But in the end, she could never be apart from her brother, since he was all she had. Such a horrible fate, but one they walk together without fear.
Upper rank 6 is the weakest of the upper ranks and upper moon one is the strongest and then naturally muzan is the overall strongest. The power gap between gyutaro and daki compared to upper moon one is absolutely astronomical upper moon one is so much stronger than them.
