I cried like my eyes were melting. No shame. Also, in the manga, there’s a bonus chapter where they explain that Ume stabbed the Samurai in the eye because he spoke ill of Gyutaro. Unfortunately, Gyutaro never knew that his little sister was standing up for him. God damn heart wrenching backstory for sure.

Inosuke really helpped out a lot. He found out about the "locker", went to it, freed zenitsu, tengen's wives, and the other people trapped. He was also fighting down there which attracted tengen so he could start helping, then he went on to fight upper 6 alongside everyone else and defeated daki with zenitsu (literally cut her head off twice). The wives also helped everyone escape, so I think it's safe to say that a lot more people would've died without the help of inosuke. They all did well but im especially proud with inosuke and his contributions.

My girlfriend and I were talking about Demon Slayer (I've read the manga, she hasn't) and she was trying to remember all the hashira, she named all but Muichiro. She said "which one am I forgetting?"

The first hashira we all see in the teaser is the one that Tengen said to Gyuutaro one of strong people (and probably a prodigy).
That person is the one who 'became a hashira just two months after learning swordmanship'
My interpretation of the ending is that they are both going to be reincarnated again together. Besides Gyutaro cursing Buddha, there seems to be a lot of Buddhist theming. Ume was eligible to go to Nirvanna but "No Matter How Many Lives" they live she wants to be with him until he can come too. I'm not even a Buddist it just seems like the show's creator likes Buddism.
Well it seems like in this show being good means you get reincarnated, while being bad means your stuck in hell until you clear your karma. So its more like she could be reincarnated, but chose to stay with him until he cleared his karma so they could go back together.

The Demon from Daki and Gyutaro's past is hella gorgeous. He also appears to be very powerful. I'm curious what happened to him because he was the previous upper six, right? Since he was shown in the siblings' past and "Upper six" is carved in his eyes. I'd like to learn more about him, perhaps through a flashback or something in the next season? He appears to be an intriguing character.

The demon who saved Daki and Gyutaro was Upper 6 at the time he saved them. So fast forward 100+ years and Daki and Gyutaro are now upper 6. So he has either moved up to 5-1 or died.
But of course if they teased him like this he's definitely still alive.

The one in the teaser is both the mist hashira and the love hashira.
The first hashira (green haired one) is the one mentioned by uzui that became a slayer and a hashira only in the span of 2 months. He's introduced in the hashira meeting in the first season as well as the love hashira (pink haired one). This next arc is about to be lit I SWEAR.
The hashira with the blue tips y'all saw in the trailer is the Mist Hashira, Muichiro Tokito. He's the one Uzui talked about when he said there are people so talented they can pick up a sword and be a hashira in just two months. And remember it's been more than two years since tanjiro started his training.
theres an extra in the manga that says Ume stabbed the samurai cus he insulted Gyutaro. and yes, they went to hell. Ume got a chance for redemption and heaven cus she didnt really ahve a choice in becoming a demon, Gyutaro chose that for her, he didnt regret becoming a demon and said he would make that choice over and over again in any future lives, so he didnt get that chance to go to heaven. but she chose to stay with her brother and go to hell with him
My opinion is with uzui missing a hand and an eye now, he knows he won’t be able to finish his musical score technique before he died in battle.
Yoshiwara (the IRL district where this arc took place in) caught fire in 1913, which is also when the time Demon Slayer set in.

Nezuko’s Demon art doesn’t heal them exactly. It’s fire that only damages demons and demon arts. So it wouldn’t work on normal poison. But since Gyutaro’s poison is a demon art she could destroy it. Remember S1 ep 19 (Rui said that), Mugen Train (Nezuko wake up Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke), and S2 ep 7 (Daki said that again)

I don't understand why everyone assumes that there has to be a certain number of hashiras, the only requirement is to be strong, not that there is a free position.

I stopped breathing when Douma showed up. I completely forgot he had an appearance in this arc. With the perfect voice actor too! Next arc is going to be an avalanche, there's only about 3 arcs left so everything is going to be picked up faster from now on (almost too fast, rushed even lol)
Two things for you to know is the daki/Ume stab the samurai because he insulted gyutoro and tried to assault her too... And at the end daki could gone into the light as she never killed anyone as a human (I guess ignoring her demon activities)

There’s seems to be a trend though. Maybe going through such intense trauma breeds better demons? Their personality seems to be rooted in the extremes of when they were alive.
Suraj has been the only reactor I've seen (so far) remember that the arrow demon has also had a "last attack" before. A lot of people are thinking it's only an upper moon thing or a failsafe placed by Muzan. Good memory!

Muzan is over a 1000 years old. He can't be a close relative to Kagaya (the Master). There are 12 Blood Moons. Think of 12 months of the year and you won't forget the number. They split up the 12 Moons as Upper and Lower (or Waxing / Waning). Think of the phases of the Moon as it goes from full moon to new moon. Whenever the subs show the number, they are actually showing their rank, not which group. So when that rainbow eye colored Upper Moon showed up, he was ranked 6th among the Upper Moons at that time. And you can deduct this was over a hundred years ago because Muzan said back in episode 26 that members of the Upper Ranks had not changed for over a hundred years. It must have taken some time for Gyutaro/Daki to move up to become Upper Six.
Both of them in season 3 teaser arc are hashira, first one is Mist hashira second one was love hashira. they were introduced in season 1.
I'm a manga reader, but I don't like to spoil unless necessary and requested so I'm just going to help eliminate one of your Muzan and Kagaya (or the Master) theories with information given by the anime.
Your theory about Kagaya being older than he looks (like he may be a hundred years old) has evidence to disprove it. In one of the taisho secrets of Season 1 Episode 23, Rengoku and Uzui revealed that Kagaya was the 97th leader of the Demon Slaying Corps. This means that there were previous leaders before Kagaya. Seeing as there were others before him means that Kagaya is not a hundred + years old, which implies that Muzan may be related to Kagaya by his ancestors (which are your first two theories).

Also, I hope someone notes that Kagaya's face in Uzui's memories, his skin was a lot less ill than compared to his first appearance in Season 1. Following up in the Infinity Train movie to the Entertainment District, we can see that his skin is worsening as time passes. It'll be an important story plot in the future!

the hasira in the swordsmith village arc is the most hashira, i won't spoil anything. Just stating what has already been revealed in the anime:
-He became a hashira in 2 months
-Hes the one who threw a stone at tanjiro's head
-Hes the one who is always looking at clouds.
Douma is Upper two and is the second strongest demon. Kokushibo is Upper One and is second strongest to Muzan.
I read this in a comment, so ima pass the information along in case it hasn't been stated. Ume translates to Syphilis which killed their mother. Many also believe that that's the reason why Gyuutaro looks the way he looked. Daki translates to "fallen princess" and/or "discard" which is why Gyuutaro comments about how he didn't like either name. He never referred to her as Daki as far as i remember for these reasons.
edit: also apparently the Enmu (the Lower 1 train demon)'s backstory is just fcked up lol. He's just a messed up person period.
Just a thought. I’m wondering if the snake hashira knew that there was 2 upper sixes and not just one. As well, I hope that season 3 answers some open ended questions we have. For eg. The ranks of the hasiras or like if they’re gonna get nezuko to heal the master?

He is the real upper moon nd scales upto 4th rank upper moon without daki... the only advantage she gives him is the being beheaded nd not dying bcs of 2nd body but its kinda obvious if there is a person who can decapitate gyutaro he easily decapitates daki... also this is a random thing but zentisu's poison was of a normal demon while gyutaro's poison was upper moon level ofc..
I'm guessing that the crows might have pretty much told him that or the wives could have told him that there's 2 upper six'. Also, the ranks of hashira's and nezuko healing the master would be answered on later seasons, possibly on season 3 depending on the pacing.

Regarding hashiras, up to this point it is implied that both Uzui (Sound Hashira) and Rengoku (Flame Hashira) are some of the strongest between the hashira in the current generation of hashira.
Rengoku ,especially, is one of the most respected one between the hashiras (was even a mentor to one of the current hashira). That's why all the hashiras are very surprised (and kind of getting a wake up call) when the news regarding his defeat came out. Despite the unfavorable circumstances he manage to put up a fight against Akaza who is basically 4th Strongest demon in existence as Upper 3 (which is a very huge feat).
Iguro (Snake Hashira) comment regarding Uzui circumstances in this episode is most likely a sarcasm (or coping mechanism). In actuality he and Uzui have a very good relations and highly respecting each other. Iguro in fact is the 2nd weakest hashira in term of physical capabilities, while Uzui is the 2nd strongest.
other than that, as the series progress, all the hashiras that are still alive or survived also keep on growing and improving themselves and much more prepared (so does team Tanjiro who fight alongside them) that's why sometimes Rengoku and especially Uzui mistakenly perceived as some of the weaker hashira, which is not true.
I don't blame daki and gyutaro and akaza for being demon because of there back story it's really sad they just want a second chance to live

To answer Chris’s question at the end about the Hashira, Rengoku fought upper 3 and no one died Tengen fought upper 6 and a shit ton of people died….there’s levels to the Hashira shit and Tengen ain’t on that Rengoku level bro 😅😂

to add more onto that, Rengoku was fighting Enmu on the train and even guided the train's trajectory when it fell over before fighting Akaza Upper 3 while Tengen was chillin on the roofs most of the time before fighting Upper Moon 6 Gyuutaro and Daki.
@@mastixencounter Tengen got more hoes but he’s definitely not stronger Rengoku guided a whole ass train that went off the rails before fighting upper 3 and no one died. Tengen had a shit ton of help while fighting upper 6 and a shit ton of people died and he was lucky to survive the encounter 😅
Hate how this show always gotta make me feel bad for the depressing circumstances that drive them to become demons. It's a harsh reality when you're forced to both face and commit unforgivable acts. Real excited to see how they one-up themselves for season 3 🔥

Why did Gyutaro emerge from Daki's back?
I thought his strange emerge method had some meaning.
He is usually hiding on Daki's back. He only appears from her back when she is in danger.
It wasn't hiding.He would had protected Daki as hug her from her back.

Since then, I don't hate this brothers anymore. Gyutaro is the best sister-oriented brother, and Daki is a cute little sister who is always anxious for her brother.
The only happiness left for two is to be able to with them even they die.

It’s a guy and he’s the one who flicked the rock at tanjiro in season 1 when all the hashira were together.
I think you guys watch alot of stuff and don't always remember all the characters lol but yeah both of them in the teaser are hashiras, Muichiru the mist hashira and Mitsuri the love hashira, and as for which of the hashira's is the strongest, they mention it a bunch of times in the manga, i wont spoil it but the guy is a freaking monster! they ask all the hashiras what they think of the others and i think all of them say and agree that he is the strongest!
Also your guys take on how society itself creates these demons way before muzan ever turns them is actually such a simple but such an amazing concept, it is very true in this seasons case with Ume and Gyotaru, they are such tragic creatures makes for some very good writing!
And for the mysterious upper moon, at the time he changed Ume and her brother into demons he was upper moon 6. in this episode they dont really get much into him yet, they didnt even say his name, but as we know there is a new upper 6 in Daki and Gyotaru, we also know no upper moon has been defeated besides the new upper 6 so we can assume he has climbed the ranks
There's actually 5 Hashira candidates. Kanao is the 4th the 5th is shown a little in season 1 but will be seen in action in season 3.
