One way to make this a little better is to use the magic shield spell and the golden braid talisman. Helps you almost take no damage through the shield second phase.
Just to lyk, this also works extremely well for malenia and most bosses in general, However bosses like the dancing lion and bayle, aren’t fully soloed by this build, even though it’s close. Also, if your max level then you can replace the great jar Arsenal for a damage boosting talisman instead, like one which boosts consecutive attack damage as you’ll be doing a lot of that.

i would recommend cutting str down to minimum for one handing shield and remove arcane levels, that is all you need to do. it will take a bit longer cause you won't have as much bleed or damage but will get the job done. you can also consider infusing the rapier with cold. the split damage will make it do a lot more on top of the cold debuff plus the %hp each time it procs, and don't forget to upgrade the shield! just in case you didn't know. it matters

This build could be improved by using shield grease or scholars shield. And the Greatshield Talisman has almost no effect with the fingerprint shield. The difference isn't even noticeable. Probably better off using the Golden Braid or Viridian Amber +3 instead. Also Fan Daggers would be good to draw aggro away from the Host if necessary.
Black Steel Greatshield (holy infuse) and Sword Lance (bleed infuse) both from DLC are much better combo to still have the same defense but faster offense.
No exotic rare drops, no bazillion buffs, no fancy technique. Just good ol fashion shield and poking stick. Nice! P.s. I hate spending time finger juggling 5 different buffs in rapid succession only to get one shotted as soon as you enter the boss door lol
@@alexbaron6777I’m not sure if you can really do anything about that but to take to take less damage from the hits I suggest you use the dragoncrest great shield talisman or the haligdrake talisman
After dieng 30x to this guy i just swapped to a shield and spear without even respecing and killed him 1st attempt with almost all flasks left. It's the only same way to kill him.
Just curious when you’re not killing some of these super hard bosses what kind of build can this character do? I really want to give myself some variety where I can slap on the gear to be a super tank but also change to something faster when I’m just running around doing whatever. I’d love to get as much info as possible on optimal points so I can get the most out of my character!!
With this build it stops being about dodging Radahn's combos and getting the occasional hit in. It's instead about stamina management and learning when to stop attacking/guarding. I was ready to give up trying to beat him but this strat got me through it. Praise be to you, mighty Tarnished.

And this build isn't even at it's peak. 13 flasks, only +9 and non optimal talismans. HE USES ONLY 2% OF HIS POWERRRRR!!!

You can replace your Erdtree's Favor and Great-Jar's Arsenal talismans with something else. You're in heavy load with or without them.
