Excellent tutorial. I have a book and it suggested you use some type of mandrel or dp knitting needle but it didn't explain how you were supposed to get started. Thank you so much for sharing your gift.

I hope you didn't spend too much money on your book...especially since it didn't provide a complete solution. There are many options that you can use to prevent your tube from collapsing inward. I have even seen a crocheter use a screwdriver. Anything with the right diameter will work. I prefer the clothesline rope because it is flexible and non slippery. But it's nice to have many options:)

And yes, you can repeat a pattern to make a necklace instead of a bracelet, as long as the end of the pattern coincides with the beginning. I hope this helps:)

Hi Carole, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. You can leave the rope in longer if you prefer as you crochet. But don't leave it in too long. I have found that the longer you leave it in, the more difficult it is to remove. Happy Crocheting :)
