The history and mystery of those bars is incredible. Best wishes on picking up another of Ken's busted up stash. That little gold "tourist" piece is really neat. I like the coins with shapes. Beautiful vintage history.
Once again, you filled my head with usable knowledge much love, much respect to you THANX FINGERS 😂 congratulations on that beautiful bar. I’ve been looking for one like that for a few years now.
When I think you collection couldn't get any better you just keep pulling them out it's amazing the piece's you have. You sir is what I strive myself to be in a PM collector /stacker. Thanks for sharing an all the knowledge you bring along with it. Appreciate you. 🇺🇲🦅⚖️
It wasn't the price of Silver that was inching higher, it was the value of our dollar that was inching lower. That's why it didn't make sense. They'd like for us to think of it in terms of Silver's changing price, but that's actually backward. It was really a function of the dollar's debasement, which is still true today. Gold & Silver aren't truly rising dramatically in price, they are merely accounting for the disastrous drop in the dollar's value. It happens in fits & starts, so there often isn't a 1 to 1 correspondence between one and the other, but nonetheless, over 30 to 50 year time-frames what you find is that both Silver and especially Gold, end up hedging inflation quite well and maintaining their value like nothing else. You might say that I'm making a distinction without a difference, but you'd be wrong. What happens when people think in terms of a commodity rising in value? Nothing really happens. But what happens when people think in terms of their money losing value or purchasing power? People begin to immediately take action to avoid their loss of purchasing power. They start buying durable goods, food, clothing, tools, Gold, and Silver. So I'm just saying that it's important to put this in its proper context and to think in terms of the dollar's value decline rather than in terms of the price of Silver and/or Gold doing anything in particular. I only keep 1 ounce Silver bars of a standardized size. Well, apart from a few little AMark trapezoid one ouncers that is. I tend to stay away from anything larger than 1 ounce because I want the maximum sized universe of possible buyers in the future, irrespective of environment. Interesting video.
Very nice bar W.C. some good info as well but thank God for F.F. Sometimes I wonder if u just like to hear yourself talk? Sorry about the harsh review but that was a bit long and a very long build up until showing. Still a fan just giving an honest review. Happy Easter to u sir and I appreciate your content and info just a bit long. Yes thats a museum quality piece congrats👍
