It's one of the simplest, ancient version of food but here we are, all have a certain way of cooking it. Love it. For me, I'd prefer it when it's close to raw.
Put it on a hot pan, both sides, 20 sec. Take the meat off the pan. Put butter to the pan, then put the meat back on, salt + black pepper each side 20sec more. Done.

thoroughly cooked isn't "overcooked" unless your "cooked" is a different threshold than "cooked through". Medium rare is ok because bacteria etc. can't penetrate the steak into the middle, but when using mincedm eat etc. that's not the case, there's always a small risk when cooking minced meat patties medium rare of getting some food poisoning. There's a huge difference between overcooked and cooked through without pink.

Asmon, Hexclad doesn't have a chemical coating. It just uses dual layers of metal, combining cast iron with nonstick. The hexagonal etching in it creates the nonstick surface. Basically you season the pan every six months or so by wiping vegetable oil around in it, and letting it sit on medium heat for three minutes. The oil then gets cooked into the tiny grooves, allowing the pan to be used without food sticking. It also resists scratching, allowing metal utensils to be used with it... Either way, no chemicals.

    • @vgamedude12

As unhealthy and unsanitary Asmongold might be, he is one of the few Americans that eat their steak cooked well.
The steak isn't undercooked, is perfectly fine.
If you'd like it more brown in the middle and not as pink, you have to cook it slower, especially being so thin. Otherwise you overcook/burn the outside and the inside is still raw.
The little cooked fat strips on the side are godlike.
The conclusion is the best steak is the middle ground between these 2. Like Asmon's but a bit juicer, so is not as dry. And the fat you either leave it on and eat it later OR you can chop it beforehand, and use the same steak fat to cook first and grease the pan, it gives the flavor as well.

Asmondgold, the fat is the only good part, without fat thr meat has no flavor, you need marboling and fat and juice, i was a well done man for 9/10s of my life, then I had a bone in ribeye medium with all the good fat and chared perfectly, it tasted so good my mouth was literally pouring water, i am salivating as i type this thinking about it. A perfectly cooked ribeye with the good fat ia secons to nothing on earth 🌎 i could and would eat that every meal for ever. Medium bone in ribeye the meat in the center around the bone is the juciest best tasting meat in the world 🌎 nothing compares, i will add Michigan sweet corn summer time fresh only and a sweet potatoe and something green possibly greens or greenbeans and baked potatoes and some rolls is the perfect meal, Texas roadhouse is the best restaurant on earth and has the best prices for the best meals in the USA, no other places serves a meal as good for nearly the same price, i cant get the food from the grocery store for less than texas roadhouse, and they cook it and serve it to me. It is amazing to get a bone in rib eye two sides and rolls for 28 dollars. This is the deal of the century in the USA.

Texas roadhouse is the best restaurant in the USA hands down bo competition. They have the best steaks, bone in ribeye and the best prices around, it costs more at the grocery store than TRH and they cook it for you, giant bone in ribeye two sides and as many rolls as you want with cinnamon butter for 26-28 dollars is a good deal in my book.

@@luzifersohn5010 You do know that "well done" is way overcooked, in terms of safety, right? Meat is different, in terms that it still looks pink even when already cooked. Well done is 154° and the recommended FDA temperature for any meat (mind you that they give a higher number just to be sure). It is 145°, so there is no need to cook it "well done", other than preference.
But, if you prefer it "well done", well that is up to you. Eat the steak how you like it.
