What I would MOST like to see from Prime minister Muscat is what are his policies concerning the Maltese dialect or language. Will he do something about all this Italian pollution in it. Will he implement and run a programme to help purify it. The Maltese people are justly proud of their *Arab* heritage, *Arab* roots, *Arab* traditions, *Arab* ways, *Arab* culture, *Arab* blood and their *Arab language* despite the input or pollution of Italian vocabulary. Most Maltese regard their country as just a Christian, Europeanised and whiter part of Tunisia. And most would like to see Malta and Tunisia merge into one country and be called either Maltisia or Tumalta. Many Maltese are now waking up to this and are discovering their TRUE roots despite the Zionist propaganda. As a Tunisian Arab it makes me so proud to hear this language in a written romanised form. Many Arabs considered Malta to be a 'lost' or 'stolen' child from us, their natural mother. And one day we will embrace our beautiful 'child' once more. Well. given the large number of Arabic speakers in Europe, and the large number of loanwords from Italian, it wouldn't be that hard to get someone to learn Maltese.
I’d like to ask you here about the situation in the video. "He was talking in his Maltese language but the translator wasn’t working because of mechanical problems, so he claimed that the chairman should do something" I understand correctly? I’m from Asia, poor at listening English to understand but I’m so interested in the situation of languages in Europe.
You are very close. There was no person working as the translator for the Doctor Muscat and when he realised this, Doctor Muscat was understandably furious especially because the full meaning of his speech was lost and he explained that Malta is cut off from the English speaking world because there are minimal translations available for Maltese arts, TV, music and other mediums. Additionally, there are a fewer number of resources that are available to teach the Maltese language as opposed to a language such as Spanish or even Irish. As well, some schools in Malta punish their students for speaking in Maltese and push communication in English.
Perhaps now Mr. Muscat will do the same with our name-change on passports. They changed my name from Johnny to Giovanni. An Italian name. NOT MALTESE. I never understood the logic.

Being part Maltese, this gets me quite angry as it is an official language of the EU and a unique one being the only Semitic language in the bloc. I'm making an effect to learn it, the EU should try to do the same.
Hi, how are you? Im half Maltese and also trying to learn Maltese.. im curious, how are you learning Maltese? Do you have a learning book to recommend maybe?
@@carmen5788 best thing is to watch RUclips videos and also to go to Malta. When you learn the language in the nation which speaks the language l, it helps.
Good afteroon
Well Done!
Well done joseph muscat. Europe should feel ashamed for laughing at our prestigious language. I certainly do not agree with those implying that he should have spoken in english. Long live maltese
he got his chance and he took it :D
i’m scared of him now.
Good job Muscat!!
Maltese Testicles! Good job Joseph! Joe taghna lkoll!!! :D

Van Drare Maltese can now be openly spoken in the European Parliament and Council as there are translators and there have been for quite a long time now.
Big up (y)
Grazzi Joseph.

They don't incorporate Arabic, because it's related to Arabic. I only understand the Italian loanwords
Ghamel sew! Imma seta jkun naqa aktar prudenti!
As a Tunisian im able to understand 60% what he said 😁
Tell us what he's saying then. 😂

Closer to arab countries????? Are you serious?????
They belong to Europe, they share the european and the modern world values, and not the arab world.
God bless Europe and America.
louay1406 Omni Maltija.
Certainly North Africa politics where WW2 concerned, but the Maltese are Christian, European, and that will be so till the mountains crumble into the oceans.
Marito demo Claudia Cardinale. I KNOW...
you want them to belong to us so that we destroy them like we are destroyed in our own countries? Malta stay where you are
Anas OnAir ههههه، حشم شويه يا خويا، العرب خصهم يخويو المره الأرضيه ويهنيو العالم من صداعهم
VIVA DR MUSCAT
Inshallah! *YES* ✔️🇲🇹➕🇹🇳➕🇩🇿➕🇱🇾✔️ *NO* ☢️❌🇮🇹❌🏴❌🇪🇺❌☢️
@camilleridgdm actually a comma goes there not a hyphen
Well. given the large number of Arabic speakers in Europe, and the large number of loanwords from Italian, it wouldn't be that hard to get someone to learn Maltese.
That's a total different matter. Incorporating English into Maltese, is because of the technological improvement in the world.
you got the ball my brother but dont fforget that millions of north african do understand especialy when mention flouss flouss
hani mhani it exactly writen flus
The maltese nationalists loves the Italian culture more
I’d like to ask you here about the situation in the video.
"He was talking in his Maltese language but the translator wasn’t working because of mechanical problems, so he claimed that the chairman should do something"
I understand correctly?
I’m from Asia, poor at listening English to understand but I’m so interested in the situation of languages in Europe.
You are very close. There was no person working as the translator for the Doctor Muscat and when he realised this, Doctor Muscat was understandably furious especially because the full meaning of his speech was lost and he explained that Malta is cut off from the English speaking world because there are minimal translations available for Maltese arts, TV, music and other mediums. Additionally, there are a fewer number of resources that are available to teach the Maltese language as opposed to a language such as Spanish or even Irish. As well, some schools in Malta punish their students for speaking in Maltese and push communication in English.
rifiutano la lingua maltese perché influenzata dalla lingua araba. Essendo arabo, ho capito ogni parola che ha detto in maltese
Perhaps now Mr. Muscat will do the same with our name-change on passports. They changed my name from Johnny to Giovanni. An Italian name. NOT MALTESE. I never understood the logic.
