You do realize that Himuro could’ve easily won against Kaneda,but Kaneda’s fighting style is all about analysis,and taking his time to study his opponent’s moves,martial arts and the weaknesses.Only reason he lost was because he didn’t realize it,and underestimated Kaneda,if it wasn’t for that,he’d have surely won.I ain’t discrediting any of Kaneda’s feats but that’s the truth about him,if you end it quickly and don’t give him time to adapt,then you’re safe.

But as far as he was concerned he was fighting a civilian AND his boss' friend and had to hold back considerably. then Kaneda took advantage of a damaged pride. Himuro was being humbled by a random which only caused him to spiral to a loss. We definitely were robbed of a fantastic fight between Gaolan and Himuro but eeh...narrative wise it was a good play. i show this fight to everyone who's curious about the anime.
@@Yggdrasill-XYeah,despite Kaneda having a scrawny body,I love the fact that he’s all brains and adapting,analysis.I would of loved seeing Himuro more in action,Jeet Kune Do is pretty neat after all tbh.
Atleast with kaneda, it was explained later that he can move so that the attacks dont hit much of his vital parts and he can lessen the effectivity of the strikes, a master of defense.

@@TheDeathby2imo it would be better if characters was just 2d animated while the setting was 3d, just like how ufotable animated demon slayer as example. With fluidity and the fight being more lively would be the best of both worlds.
