I have a few things to say about swimming in the ocean. I'll hail Monique Rhodes' comment first. The ocean is not our home. We go there to touch the ocean's top, that's all. Where sharks and dangerous waters are concerned, I have a few tips from long experience in both living near the ocean and from the perspective of an MS CCRN ACLS, or a really fancy critical care nurse who knows her s*** and has been practising for 48 years. Wear a T-shirt when you go to the beach. They're cheap and if you're injured, they can be used for many things. Sharks can take a bite out of us where no help is possible. Too many times though, the victim goes mental and loses control. Don't get scared, get angry. Punch in the snout. They hate that and usually let go. A good thing here, and another use for your T-shirt, is to carry a serrated knife on your body. Wrap your kitchen bread knife, nicely sharpened with a pointy tip, with the T-shirt so you won't impale yourself and strap it to your back within reach. The butt can be used as a make-shift club and the blade can do serious damage to an attacker. Most sharks are taking a bite just to get a taste and satisfy curiosity. A good blow on the snout followed by a blade sinking in will scare it away. This applies to every inhabitant of the ocean except jellyfish. That brings me to my second point. Know the topography of the place you are going, where the depths are and more importantly, the zoology of the place. What creatures live there that might kill you? This is a pretty obvious question but the answers can save limbs and lives. One thing about which these videos seem intellectually deficient. Has anyone heard of a tourniquet? Here we go with our T-shirts again. Use it. Tighten it above the injury around the knife and turn until the gushing artery stops gushing. Our lovely T-shirt can also be used to apply to a wound and keep it as clean as possible. So, here's the kicker. Use the brain The Mother gave you and be prepared. And our T-shirt, unless it's being used in the water to wrap our knife, will prevent sunburn.
All the numbers spoken, were said correctly , Beautifully . ... But tO USE tHE OLD , "A.D" .... instead of Updated "C.E" common era still gave a Thumbs Up
I have been scuba diving for 30+ years all over the world and became dive instructor. 1,000 of dives and always enjoy the rush of just being in the water , mostly comfortable dives and many exciting dives with ocean residents. Belize blue hole was fun for experience of nitrogen narcissistic. Trimix keeps that at bay, but shark diving in Fiji was exciting. Diving in 80's and 90's was an exciting period before internet. You needed information from other divers, magazines. Now internet has informed you what to expect and what to avoid and that was half the adventure. I've been a dive instructor at many resorts around the world and found adventures on land and in the sea. Please come enjoying life with exciting new adventures. Yes death does happen but more people will die on way to airport than a year of diving daily. Scars are like tattoos, everyone will ask and you get to relive the trip.❤😂😂😂 I live on central coast of California and during a kayaking trip and recently great white shark almost sunk kayak with curiosity 😂

I was out in Egypt at the time a free diver lady maybe from Switzerland (i could be wrong) with an 11 year old son became another victim in Dahab. I guess it's a beautiful place to die. Once your head goes under water you enter a beautiful and extremely serene world. It's breathtaking (no pun intended).
There's probably a shark nursery close by.... it irritates me that people encroach onto and into wild animals home and then get mad at the animal for just being a wild animal.
I kept the sound on, but yeah it is an annoying voice... other commenters have previously mentioned in his other videos that it sounds like it's a AI generated voicing, but the dude running this show insists that it's his real voice used.
The part about the white sharks in Cali isn't true and it gives them a bad name , if its that bad in those months stay out of the water it's there home not ours .... respect it!!
THE SHARKS AT NEW SMURNA ARE MAINLY SMALL BLACK TIPS & NOT FATAL, LIKE THEY WOULD BE IF THEY WERE TIGER OR BULL SHARKS. SO HIGH LEVELS OF ATTACKS IS A MISLEADING ATTEMPT AT MAKING FIGURES SEEM LETHAL.

Proud Cape Townian seeing our City on here
The Red Sea is where pharaoh and his army died wen Moses parted the Red Sea
All the numbers spoken, were said correctly , Beautifully . ... But tO USE tHE OLD , "A.D" .... instead of Updated "C.E" common era
still gave a Thumbs Up
I didn't know the ocean created life... Thank you all this time I've been believing in God.
Scars are like tattoos, everyone will ask and you get to relive the trip.❤😂😂😂
I live on central coast of California and during a kayaking trip and recently great white shark almost sunk kayak with curiosity 😂
😂the panned out view of the blackhole almost looks like the open jaws of shark. Ironic.
I dove without license first 5 times in Thailand and back then I swore it didn’t matter. But now that I’m older I strongly suggest you get formal training and education. Especially on what depth pressure does to the body and more importantly the mind. Also if you can’t handle stress in a calm manner please don’t go passed a recreational dept.
The fact Lake Erie isn’t on here is crazy
Well, it's a lake.
There's probably a shark nursery close by.... it irritates me that people encroach onto and into wild animals home and then get mad at the animal for just being a wild animal.
I watched your "2023 video" at Queens bath about 5 years ago. Tell me how that adds up?
Those boys at Queens Bath are locals and know what's up.
True when your the middle of nowhere you know your dead💀
I got to 11:00 but had to switch on CC and turn down the sound volume as the voice was so annoying.
I kept the sound on, but yeah it is an annoying voice... other commenters have previously mentioned in his other videos that it sounds like it's a AI generated voicing, but the dude running this show insists that it's his real voice used.
The measurement conversions are very annoying
❤❤❤
I love scuba diving and swiming . I could live under the water .
Same here ❤
Great video but yikes
The part about the white sharks in Cali isn't true and it gives them a bad name , if its that bad in those months stay out of the water it's there home not ours .... respect it!!
That's where the Egyptians had their tunnels to hide their gold
The ocean is a desert with its life underground...
I’m so scared right now.
Nope nope nope. I'm a Pisces born and thus fish is an out of water fish. Pools and bath tubs are the furthest I go into water.
14:58 were in there domain
THE SHARKS AT NEW SMURNA ARE MAINLY SMALL BLACK TIPS & NOT FATAL, LIKE THEY WOULD BE IF THEY WERE TIGER OR BULL SHARKS. SO HIGH LEVELS OF ATTACKS IS A MISLEADING ATTEMPT AT MAKING FIGURES SEEM LETHAL.
My grandmother was circled in knee deep water when she used to live in Hervey Bay.
For those who don't know where that is, its in Queensland Australia.
I might go to take pictures but that's it
Am the greatest diver in the entire history of diving...😂 fear natural forces..Death could be very near
We swam at New Smyrna Beach all the time and was never bothered by sharks. It's usually just surfers that get attacked.
