Gota give myself a little credit though, I snorkeled off Catalina island during the night time to see the bioluminescent plankton. I was young and dumb enough to not be scared I guess!
Omg the darkness is scary enough on the land, much less under water. Around 21:00 when he first goes underwater is absolutely creep beyond words. The huge vastness and the unknown is terrifying!!! He is so incredibly brave.
@@sherrygriffin9320 - 😂 …a billion really is a whole lotta dough. But still probably wouldn’t be enough to convince me to stand on the side of a rocking boat in the open ocean, in the dead of night and jump in.
COMPLAINT: This video should've been longer or a 2 - 3 - 4 Parter!! We thoroughly enjoyed it, and when it ended, we were left...wanting...MORE!!! Great work!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻
We're so glad you enjoyed it! We can't make this video longer BUT we CAN provide more underwater content! How about some shark content? Coming this Friday!
Rick has all my respect. I am afraid of : ( 1.) Sharks. ( 2.) Sword Fish. ( 3.) Sea Aligators. ( 4.) Box Jelly Fish. ( 5.) Sting Rays. ( 6.) Killer Wahales. Like Shamoo. ( 7.) Sea poion snakes. All these plus millons and millons of sea animals that will kill humans and eat humans. This is their house. They can go under you. Then very fast go up. They will bite you in pieces.
I really appreciate all the people who dedicate their lives and money to searching and researching the deep oceans. A great video. (Narration was a bit over dramatic). Thanks.
God said, “I command the ocean to be full of living creatures, and I command birds to fly above the earth.” So God made the giant sea monsters and all the living creatures that swim in the ocean. He also made every kind of bird. God looked at what he had done, and it was good. Genesis 1.
The sea is amazing, I will never forget my first dive off Molokini, HI at age 16, it inspired me to continue for years off the California coast, I have learned so much after all my travels and dives, snorkeling is true freedom❤
I absolutely adore the oceans they are beautiful and peaceful. However I know the dark n deep is quite different, but I’ve always had a fascination of the water. If I could I would live on the beach of the Bahamas or Mexico, I only hope and dream of living somewhere like that one day! Something about it and the sound just relaxes me like nothing else on earth!
You could be spiritually connected to it as I am. I have a spiritual gift that is of the waters. Mainly the ocean. It always moves you in a way when you’re next to it, when you see it live and even in videos like this. You cannot describe the feeling you feel, but it as if you just belong in the water.
Brilliant video guys,💙 it, but just one question, how do we know that salps are a favourite food for Leather back turtles? they might like something like a Moon Jellyfish, or maybe a Sea Nettle, or even a few million Portuguese Man o War, so unless you have had a salp sushi then that narration is wrong and should be changed🤔 nah just joking, it was a great show, thank you😆
Thallasaphobia ftw. It just occurred to me that a video of the open ocean or in it, with a very large object I cant see the end of, is fat more terrifying than any movie or game. Terrified to your very soul. Went in a submarine in Houston and just imagining it inside there, nope nope nope nope.
So many comments fearful of the oceans creatures. I'd pay money to go down there in a heartbeat. There is nothing to fear. The camera guy has thousands of dives and no issues. I also enjoy going into a burning building and no fear of heights, snakes, spiders etc. Always been like that. I do have a healthy fear of dogs. I was bite a few times as a kid but I messed with dogs that were raised vicious and was in places I shouldn't be in so I deserved every bite. But, it made me fear dogs I do not know.
Experiencing the ocean at night is a very special gift. Not only do you see a different world of marine life vs the one you experience during the day, but you have the opportunity to be a part of an awe-inspiring experience, becoming a part of the majestic show of bioluminesce. My first night-dive was on a trip to Roatan Island, Honduras. Absolutely incredible!✨️ One of my favorites day or night is watching octopuses morph, change colors, and display their innate intelligence in hunting, hiding, and being mischievously playful. 🐙 The minute I descend below the surface, I feel as if I have come home.💙🌊🤿🌊💙
No words to appreciate the diver !
A tiny part of the great world of ocean has been revealed to the world ! Unbelievable ! Great !
If you’re able to go down into the ocean while it’s pitch black without having a full on panic attack then you are a different type of guy than me.
Gota give myself a little credit though, I snorkeled off Catalina island during the night time to see the bioluminescent plankton. I was young and dumb enough to not be scared I guess!
Right!! You couldn't pay me enough!
also, if you guys have watched this video and didn't subscribe or press a like button, then we are different type of people
Why?
The channel creator didn't make this video.
It was lifted from another documentary programme. @v3le
I believe that makes you smart.
Brilliant! Absolutely BRILLIANT!
Both the photography and the commentary.
Well done, and thank you SO much!
One off the best documentary I ever seen in my life
Omg the darkness is scary enough on the land, much less under water. Around 21:00 when he first goes underwater is absolutely creep beyond words. The huge vastness and the unknown is terrifying!!! He is so incredibly brave.
The journey to the ocean 🌊 was so wonderful.
I’ve feared deep, dark water all my life… there’s simply *no way* I could ever swim in the open ocean at night. Like, not even for a billion dollars.
Yeah even for that amount of money, I'm still staying home 😭
@@elf3477 - Amen. I’ll pop some popcorn, we can pile onto the couch and watch a movie. 😂
Welllllll...maybe for a billion, just this 1 time, mind you 😂👀

I'd want half upfront so i could hire 10 swimming bodyguards around me. 👾
Rick and Dennis are my heroes... Rick is a hell of a man though. Alone in the deep like that, no cage... What an informative documentary
Top program. No stupid story narratives just pure information ànd education
True. I like that there was no mention of global warming which seems automatic on most documentaries these days.
Good to read. What i came for. Thanx🖤

One of those 3 hour documentaries... I second that
The guy filming Rick is also AWESOME!
This was absolutely AMAZING!! Great job!! Thank you!! ❤
A whole "new world" inside our world, totally unfamiliar, foreign, and one which we cannot really be a part of...how amazing!
Rick is one fearless man!
Wow I’m so glad I watched this! Amazing film and very informative
That Rick dude has balls of steel man. What an incredible life / job though

Excellent footage!! I absolutely love documentaries about the sea!
Fantaistic ocean doc! one of the better ones I’ve seen
This would be completely terrifying to me, just floating around out there in the dark ocean thousands of feet deep, no thanks
Luis you are my new best friend 😊
Feet ? Kms !!
Outstanding work. Both by the diver and the film producer. Thank You is merely not enough to say
Thanx Rick,& Dennis,&Co. Awesomely -Coducted.

I grew up at the beach, served in the Navy & took my kids to swim but I'll never get back in the Ocean again. Ignorance is bliss. Monsters are real...
You sound like you've seen some scary stuff, care to elaborate?
@@HB-tc9bi nothing exciting, just sharks.
IMO humans are scarier monsters than anything in the ocean.
@@sonjastarr1364 that's deep, where did you find that? In a box of Captain Crunch?
Then you haven't known the ocean yet
You captured some beautiful moments in the sea! Thank you, loved your film...
Stunning! Thank you.

What a beautiful documentary, thank you
Fantastic video! 💥 Your passion and knowledge are inspiring. Thanks for everything you do!
This is some amazing footage, especially of all the sailfish together
Ooooh... No doubt swimming in the ocean at night would be the worst cuz everything comes from the bottom up 😬😱
This was fabulous, thank you!! But the stones to go swimming in pitch black water at night.... just wow.
😍 WOW so many cool creatures 😊 love this...
Incredible and captivating footage, thank you:)

This is both scary and amazing! May God protect him.
Great work, we need more such deep dives at night, but further with more advanced equipments.

same. The sound of the waves, the fresh sea breeze, and the vibrant marine life ... all are so peaceful
It very calm and deeply dark at night and windy. U can do deep meditation. I work onshore at the gulf sea 🌊.

Open ocean eddies are probably the best place to look for marine life at night.
