+Linkara-AtopTheFourthWall uh... am I reading that second box right: 'Back in the 22nd Century, the Borg tried to change history by stopping the first warp drive from launching.' There's more, but the rest looks all right. I doubt I need to explain what's wrong in that, I just find it odd you either don't notice it or don't mention it.
+Linkara-AtopTheFourthWall I might be remembering your comments about Troi wrong, but isn't Telepathic powers and Mind reading two different things. At least in Star Trek. Like Telepathy is mental communication and Mind Reading doing what it says on the label. Troi is capable of Mental Communication in the show, at least with her mother. Troi in fact says that she doesn't like to do it in one of them. Mental Communication is within Troi's abilities. Mental probing/Mind Reading isn't. Also, another mistake. Why is Data listed as a full Commander? It's not like there isn't a Lt. Cmdr on the page, just three and four character panels down. Stupid comic.
The book is really good actually. It blends the universes together by having a mutant gene happening on another planet, and there is a blend of a Universe where people and hated and feared vs a Universe where we all live together in harmony. It gets the point of why these universes are similar, and very different. I recommend finding some time to read it.
In case anyone is still around on this old Linkara episode, Kang sitting around in an anachronistic chair floating in the air and monologing into the void is completely normal behavior for him. His main base for a few years was a giant time dome with little bits of the Earth from across history in it. He took a job of mayor of a 1940s Wisconsin town as his honeymoon trip. He also likes to record captain's log type things when he is waiting for his schemes to come to fruition.
No Picard-Xavier crossover? THEN WHY EVEN BOTHER WITH THIS CROSSOVER?!...it's like having a My Little Pony-Star Trek crossover WITHOUT Q meeting Discord!
Yeah, Colossus grew to like ten feet tall and got way stronger when he transformed, at least in the animated series, hard to say how often it happened in the comics.
I read the novel long before even knowing the first part existed. I thought it was pretty good. The Author of it has written a ton of great Star Trek Novels, so you have a good basis.
Currently (2020), Kang's greatest claim to fame is being the villain of Lego Marvel Superheroes 2... Where he created a weird dimension that was kind of a rip off of Doctor Who's the War Games, but not really, because the game was like 2018, the War Games was 1969... By the way, The War Games: 4 hours of awesome. Seriously, ten 25 minute episodes, and it just flies by as if it was half the length.
They do have picard meet up with a holodeck simulation of Xavier in the novel though. They even mention that they have a resemblance to each other. It doesn't happen until the very end too. I guess they were saving it.
What's funny is that anything that may seem like an inconsistency about Kang really isn't as practically everything to do with him is fair game. Like the floating chair? Yeah, no, that is TOTALLY a Kang-thing to do.
Oh, _NOW_ Wolverine thinks to slice off an enemy's arm, not during the massive event comic centered around a villain with a cataclysmically powerful gauntlet!?!
They really shouldnt it would make no sense that a massive Space EMPIRE would be unnoticed that long ...I mean the Shiar would be on par with Romulans or Klingons and based on the weapons they had...especially the Imperial Guard the Klingons would not stand a chance
Now for me to sit back and wait for even more silly Star Trek Crossovers. Power Rangers in Space, Madoka Magica, Mass Effect, Venture Bros, Bioshock, Captain Harlock take your pick.
To think that if IDW would've kept the Doctor Who license longer, we would've seen a second Trek/Who crossover where the 11th Doctor and Clara crosses paths with the crew of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. As a gigantic Deep Space Nine fan, that never happening is a damn shame. Though honestly, I would've loved the 12th Doctor meeting them instead. 12 AND Sisko would be teh awesomesauce.
The hurting a hand by smashing something happened in an episode of Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, where the main villain hurt his hand briefly when he put it through a blackboard.
You should also be wondering why half the x-men there are there. In the X-Men Universe at the time that this crossover would be happening Nightcrawler, Colossus, and Shadowcat were on the X-Men Splinter team Excalibur, and Banshee was one of the two primary teachers for the next generation of mutants aka Generation X. Heck Angel shouldn't be there either as he was taking part in something else.. the only X-Men that should be there are Storm and Wolverine.
The threats the teams face seem kinda disproportionate. One team faces 3 sentinels. The other team faces a fucking borg cube! I mean sentinels are tough, but they're kinda ineffectuel, except in large numbers. The X-men have defeated them before. A borg cube, on the other hand, can conquer planets all by itself. Hell, the one they're facing at Wolf 359 nearly destroyed the ENTIRE Federation.
Hah, always happy to see GX clips in your episodes. also anyone else notice in some shots Wolverine's claws look like they're missing the adamantium and look like real bone?
the problem is star wars just doesn't lend itself to cross overs, its in its final form a fantasy story with sci fi elements instead of castles, kings and armies. star trek doctor who and x men have weird tech that does anything you could want so it lends it self well to a cross over. i just don't see a star wars cross over with anything that isn't a comedy, like the muppet show having them as the guest stars ( yes that happend c 3p0 r2d2 and luke on the muppet show with kermit the frog)

Like imagine if they had to fight an assimilated Captain America... or god forbid Professor Xavier. It's obviously not canon, so why not just go ham with it? I guess it's to do with the duelling PR departments of the various franchises not wanting one to come out looking like it "beat" the other or something.

I actually the "Planet X" novel (yeah I'm a nerd like that) and it's actually quite good, digging into themes the X-Men often deal with such as prejudice, fear, and hate of things unlike themselves. It's actually about a planet were some of it's citizens start developing superpowers and the populace of course is scared of these developments and the Enterprise crew summon the X-Men for assistance in this matter given how well-versed they are and trying to dissfuse the situation before it becomes as bad as it is on Earth.

But then time passed and I lost my original copy and then a few years later I fiund it again, bought it...and didn't enjoy it as much. Parts were still great, especially when they commented on the similarity between Professor X and Captain Picard, but overall after reading more books...it did kinda feel like glorified fanfiction.
Need a Star Trek/Justice League crossover.
The only thing funnier than Worf getting tossed around is Wolverine getting tossed around
IDW has a Star Trek (2009)/Green Lantern Crossover. I read the first issue, wasn't awful, as far as I could remember, but I don't know, it's been a month... or six...
18:30 to be fair... im sure many people talk out loud to themselves when nobody is around because why the hell not..
Okay I'm going to go look up what "Multi-Modal Reflection Sorting" actually is.
MLP and Predator crossover! Make it happen people
I’m really surprised you haven’t covered Heroes Reborn
So that's how Bryan Singer chose Patrick Stewart as Professor X!
I should have guessed that Bryan Singer was a Star Trek Fan.
@@joe95883 I'd say that's more likely.
Was this published by Marvel? What comic company had the Star Trek rights anyway?
6:37 funny enough my little sister has the 2 cats he has on his shoulders
10:11 Well, he is Colossus... being a giant is kinda in his name
