I love seeing ink work with figure drawing. That last drawing killed me. "That's all it takes baby that's all it takes GO FOR IT". I recognized that, it seemed like familiar energy to me. I get hyped like that too, drawing is just too much fun.

These figure drawings are outstanding, and I really learned a lot from the way you describe changing the elements of the reference that you're focusing on as you move around the figure. Really opened my eyes on how to take all the disparate elements of figure drawing (gesture, construction, values, etc) and condense them into a single pass with a medium as unforgiving as ink. Most useful figure drawing demo I've seen since I binged Glenn Vilppu videos forever ago

I really enjoy how throughly you explain your thought processes. It's been super helpful in understanding the more higher octave thinking that I find is taken for granted in art instruction. In this moment in my self-training I'm aware of the visual tools available for expression (contrast, edges, rhythm, etc.) but I'm struggling with figuring out what exactly I want to say. I usually end up either overworking stuff or stuck in analysis paralysis. I'd love to hear you talk more about what you mean by 'reacting' to images and practicing expressiveness, not only in mark marking/style, but the 'communicating' part of visual communication.

dude i also do gesture with my morning coffee! except I'm super bad its been a month and there is improvement so i guess thats good!
I use line of action which is super repetitive even though there are a tonn of different photos i seemingly get the same ones/. I usually just pause the class mode when there is a pose that i like..

It's possible to become rusty, but don't worry! You'll always be able to get back to where you were with some practice. I haven't done life drawing in months and the first 30 drawings were horrible, but as I kept going - I kept remembering all the tips and tricks, all the steps... Great thing about skills, you'll always have them!

It helps to keep a sketchbook to practice in. Then you can breeze through it and you will remember things you have learned because you will remember drawing it in the book
