17:39 Chivalry is western we don't do that in ghana. As we learn from each other chivalry is one of the things that should be left out, it's an unnecessary ritualistic behavior. Here in ghana everyone is equal if your hand is working you can use it. No one is a servant to anyone, not male to female not female to male. We have our own way of respecting our women.
Pure role models.
Afia, you are so beautiful as ever
The men hugging after the accident is why many love Ghana. Ghanaians truly value peace🙏🏾
I'm in awe
We have such beautiful people in our beautiful country 🙌🏾
Yes ....Ghanaians always promote peace
This is a nice couple and they are contributing to the growth of Ghana, wow
Definitely
What I love about the whole scenario of homecoming is the fact that, gradually Ghana is rebuilding the confidence in most black diasporans and as well assisting them to be competitive in businesses.
A phenomenon, other races have taken advantage of for so many years.
I love it, it’s just so amazing to see 😊
@@donsheway2958
I don't think they ever lacked or need it restored. Despite racists burning down their businesses there are still many black own and operated businesses. I think it's simply easy to get certain things done in ghana, and that would even be true for someone of another race coming to ghana. Probably easier
@@donsheway2958
Ok.... I was just saying they already have the confidence. They never lost it
These people are real professionals in their field.
They really are 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Ghana is gradually becoming a hot destination spot for African Americans.
Come home to the Motherland 😊 when you don't like it here, you're always free to go back but try visiting at least 😊
Well said🎉
Do you have to have a Covid 19 vaccination in Ghana to travel from the US to Ghana upon arrival at the Airport 🛫 in Ghana?
@@kimberlycrossley6134 If you're already vaccinated then no need but if you're not you'll definitely need to get one
Interesting story. They make a perfect couple. They should keep on going. Ghana got them😊🇬🇭🫶🏼
Yes I agree🎉
Like I said before, the returnees are transforming for real for good
It’s amazing !
Love these guys, they are doing a lot in the country.
I’m so impressed! I love it !
Beautiful Couple. Love what they are doing in the motherland..Good luck to them.
🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 they are doing amazing!
These are fully " woked" individuals from America who happened to be black.
I loved the answers they gave the interviewer. You can tell, they are sincere and I am sure they are fitting well in the Ghanaian society.
They are open-minded Americans who happened to be black.
Yes, the one advice, I will give them is to try & duplicate their set-ups in the regional capitals of the 16 partitions in the nation.
They need to set the roots deep in GHANA before they movd into other nations on the continent. That can set whatever they do & spread like wild fire all through the continent.
Good Luck, guys!
Love this! You’re soo right !
Wow! I met them 2 year ago in Ghana at Kempinski. Very cool people! DETROIT!
Yaass very small world !
I wasn’t even having a dream to become a great barber one day
But through b snipped barber lounge and academy I’m now having African American experience here in Ghana working as a great barber and I really appreciate 🙏🏽🙏🏽
This is awesome!!! Thanks soo much for sharing I love this!!
How do I get in contact please ?
I love what thus lady said. AMERICA 🇺🇸 WILL ALWAYS BE HOME. That is more positive.
Well come back home family. Excellent piece. Mz Dru
Much appreciated❤
Welcome home.
It looks they are both beaming after returning home.
Wishing them endless joy & lots of prosperity, health, wealth and countless other reasons to continue beaming in their homeland.
😀
Amen !! 🎉
Very inspiring an true to life ,bless you Dru
Cheers to them both for uplifting Ghanaian ppl# three cheers 🍻 👏
One love fr jamaica 🇯🇲 🎆 🎇
Big up for real 🙌🏾
Great Interview and happy to see folks who moved from the diaspora to Ghana and making it happen. Instead of those who get there and complain complain complain. Africa/Ghana is not America. Learn to adjust or acclimatize yourself and you’d be VERY happy.
I think those who find the secret to live and sustain in Ghana are INDEED Smart. I’m not saying there ain’t challenges. There are challenges EVERYWHERE. The smart ones find a way to make it tolerable or embrace the reality.
AWESOME JOB!!!!!
BTW: Mz Dru has an amazing voice for media!!!!!
Perfectly written!! And wow thank you so so much I really appreciate it ❤
Am so blessed that our brothers and sisters are coming home and rebulid our contiment.
Am not surprised that brothers and sisters from the USA are relocating to Ghana.
Ase
I'm grinning from ear to ear. Tried to tell my family about Africa - and they can't see it in way shape or form. So-B-It. I'm coming that's FO SURE. East Legon is looking good! Saw a video of new housing and now THIS. Plus I need some help with missing hair LOL. Thumbs up Ms Dru You NAILED another one. What a Pleasure.
Wow im humbled! Thank you soo much and im soo glad that youll be coming, i hope we will meet up when you get here!
I am very empress with the transformation of this beautiful couple to be able to live and grow their business in Ghana, I really think they can make it anywhere in the world with the kind of ideas and inspiration they have. I will look out for your spot whenever am in Accra
Thanks for watching, yess make sure you do!!
Wow, I'm so excited for Adrian & her husband. I'm starting the process of moving to Ghana. It'll take 3-5 years, but I'm comin. I live in Annapolis, MD. Only 30 minutes away from PG County. I can't wait to come home.
Best of luck! You'll definitely not regret the move!!
Love the vintage chairs
This is awesome! I was thinking about becoming a barber myself. This is definitely needed on the continent. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Glad it was helpful! You really should!
So happy to come across your channel….you are so bubbly! Hearing about this couple’s experiences in Ghana was uplifting and so hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂! Glad that they are making a real difference. They do resemble where their DNA results are!! The only issue I have is the segregation that’s creeping up as the diaspora including native Africans returning from overseas by isolating themselves in enclaves 😂. Starting businesses to cater to this is kinda counterproductive and feels like just relocating from point A to B without really learning anything! Do they have ytube channel too? Thanks so much 👍🏿👌🏿✌🏿👏🏿💪🏿
Oh wow thank you so so much I’m glad you enjoyed 💃🏾! I hope you’ve subscribed! There will be more !
Hm I definitely see your point too I didn’t look at it that way wow
Absolutely true, looks like we're going to have pretty distinctive communities - the natives and diasporans! 🤔 I do accept that you can't live or build your homes in already populated areas. But if these transitions are going to be permanent, then there should be some sharing of ideas too. Basically, being mutually inclusive. After all, your chn & chn's chn, if you decide to let them remain here, shd also be encouraged to assume various governmental & communities leadership roles one day. The course of history & the narrative of returning home would be such a travesty if we don't proactively unravel & work towards any differences from the onset. Gradually yes, but it's doable ☺🤞🏾 Glad this couple seems to be getting it right & really mixing with & supporting the locals. And hey! Aspire to also learn one of the lingos. Oburoni is broadened to even Ghanaians, who don't spk a native language. Great couple, great interview, Mz Dru🤝🏾👏🏾🤞🏾🙏🏾😇
African Global Nomad
She's a little talkative and loud honestly 😁 . She should try to relax a bit if she can
You bring up a fair point and it's something to watch for in the future but for now i don't truly believe it's any kind of 'segregation'. They're working with the people who have a similar mentality and often times you see many of these people still going out in the community and interacting with the people. If there's social issues to worry about there are only a couple groups, mainly religious radicals i've seen that might be a problem. But apart from that most of them do good and only remove themselves to be with people who can best facilitate their goals and vision, not for the sake of being apart from local people. But if it ever turns into that of course there should be efforts to create more community and unity
@@andromedab902
I don't completely agree on all the points that were made, but yes being proactive about any potential . That can be address with who you allow to come in as well. Many people have been pushing for immediate citizenships for all black americans on the basis of being black american alone but i completely disagree with that. There should definitely be a process that checks and weeds out problematic people/groups individuals. I've already seen a few cropping up unfortunately. We need to be with people we can cooperate with, not people who'll be at odds. I believe a majority of black americans would be compatible regardless but we can't do this blindly. Also this doesn't mean those who don't qualify still can go to the country or live there, it just means they don't have citizenship, just like the chinese, labanese etc.
Yes I enjoyed this conversation, eye opener. One thing I must say all Black americans should feel a sense of relief not having to live under white supremacy, white oppression and hatred after moving to Ghana.
Ase, when I first landed in Ghana forty-four years ago, I was taught that Africa is full of jungle and full of famine.
But when I was in Accra, I saw schools, markets, streets, hospitals, and houses. I didn't see no jungle and no famine.
The wife is beautiful and yes she look Ghanaian.
Very beautiful 🤩

African chinese and african lebanese do not exist but we get what he means
They do , they are born in africa but nationality may be from a different country
@@MzDruTV an aftican born in asia cant be asian. Chinese, lebanese and whites can be nigerian, ghanaian or whatever but never african lets get that straight.
@@africaine4889 exactly. That is the problem with Africans they do not even know their identity. They will soon be written out of the history of Africa. How can someone be African Chinese or African Lebanese. Can an African be Chinese or Lebanese Chinese and Lebanese guard there ethnicity it is only stupid Africans who do not know this.
@@MzDruTV no they are not. Please educate yourself and stop promoting nonsense. Do you think an African can be Chinese or Lebanese. China will never allow that. Only stupid Africans do not know what identity means. A lot of you you tubers need to learn history and patriotism and what things mean. Those who do not know their history are doomed to repeat it. At this rate Africans will soon be written out of the history of Africa. Just can't fix stupid

No not at all, they are helping to teach the locals different ways to barber and help them create more opportunities for themselves
Ghana sick 😂😂😂😂😂😂
loool its a real thing!😂
Worked in upstate NY corporate had two friends one from Florida and the other from Brooklyn by way of SC.. the one from Florida will hold the door especially for ladies and that used to piss off the brooklynite so love u guys but get off the typical American commentary of thinking they have the market on something civilized… before I leave have you ever lived and worked in NY city or the surrounding areas .. some of the most unhelpful “rude” people on this earth
The problem with Americans everywhere they go it's a habit of imposing the Western World ideology instead of embracing ones overall culture, a man not opening a door for a woman is only a problem in the West, in other parts of this world no one cares about silly stuff like that, it doesn't mean they don't respect and love women it's just not within their culture...Respect it... And majority Africans don't like confrontation and so they'll say yes to everything, that's just how it is....
No rasiam in Ghana.
Ghana sick 😷😷 hahahaha 🤣
Lool I’ve experienced it too 🙈
