I'm getting coolant pressure only on hard pulls only. My cummins ISX CM871 runs great on flats and moderate hills but once I pull a hard hill the coolant pressures up and spits some out.
after i repair camshaft and main bearing my truck start black and white smoke and rpm going down so fast til truck shut off after engine off water shows it hot almost 300 after 30 minutes truck starting again, my experience is problem come when i use cruise control any advice pls
White n black smoke could be faulty doser valve, egr valve or bad injector. If you getting 300 degrees in your coolant probably you may have a problem on thermostat or water pump, what kind of engine do you have.?
@@atalia6159 bro thanks for you're respond, my engine is Cummins isx my problem was bad fuel i stop using Quick-Trip diesel and clean my tank after that everything is Ok, now i had my Coolant lose when truck is runing till coolant light is come on after i turn off engine coolant went all the way up but not overflow i don't know why coolant is disappear than come back normal after i turn off engine i also had raugh ideling when i star morning after 7 minutes everything is Ok, when i diagnose. it shows code SPN 102 FMI-2 Thanks for youre information bro
Just had a head job done on our truck. Got roughly 100 miles from the shop before it had to get towed back. Im wanting to ask you what can go wrong with the assembly after a head job to cause a tick like sound before the oil pressure drops and pushes fuel up into the oil pan?
Is there a difference in Coolant getting into the oil. Versus oil getting into the coolant? If so, what are they. I’m assuming it’s a cracked head gasket.
What is the pricing to fix something like this ? I was looking to buy a used truck and on the disclaimer it said “The engine has a cracked head and needs aftertreatment repair for DPF and DOC” how much can this cost me ? It is a 2015 Peterbilt 579

How old is that engine?? Looks like is had the shallow head deck bolt counter bores. That’s a fairly new modification to that block.

rebuilds can easily top 30k
