Thank you so so very much. Every base location guide for this map I have found has been either PVP rat holes or super pretty spots with no regards to safety, access or local resources. Much appreciated.
I went with the little island. When I spawned in, I made my home. Didn’t know I was very near the wyverns canyon. Quickly moved after my Tropy was attacked. I’m near everything, including oil. Can’t beat it! Thanks a bunch!
Thanks I just joined a pvp server and I was wondering where to make my base so I wouldn’t die, This really helped me and now I’ve actually survived 11 hours offline because every time I go to sleep irl I die
Yikes!! That's why I haven't tried PVP yet, it sounds brutal lol. I'm so glad this helped you survive the night at least!! Just watch out for enemy flyers if you build out in the open up there. And if you want to see even more tricks for that spot, watch our let's play crystal Isles series because we have been living there quite well the whole time!
That's awesome that you got here on your second spawn! I think it's about a 1 in 10 chance to get to this spot when you spawn in. I had an elaborate plan to get up here and ended up just lucking out to spawn right by the pond on our let's play series LOL! And there was a super rare Tropeognathus right in the screen, and a Unicorn nearby. I blame the unicorn for this ridiculous luck lol Here's our let's play series if you want to see how we're making this mountain work great for us! ruclips.net/video/dVTXSDWRa5c/видео.html How are you liking it so far?
Big thank you for this video! I spawned close to this spot and after watching this promptly followed your steps to get up top. I love this location! I'm more of a casual player and like to take my time and this area has everything I need to get established. Made my home in the rocky alcove next to the pond and found a really easy route up to the metal on the upper layer. Creature spawns have so far been, trikes, pegos, dilos, turtles, dodo's ovirapters, parasaur, moschops and lystro. Pteranodon will also land on occasion.
That's awesome! I haven't started my own let's play on Crystal Isles yet but I'm so glad this worked well :D When you are ready for a challenge, you can head down the ramp to tame frogs, beavers, and baryonx too :) Thanks so much for letting me know this is going well, I'd love to hear updates on how your adventure goes.
Nice! Are you liking living there so far? I keep finding more good resources near that mountain lol Here's the metal locations: ruclips.net/video/e9sFQoXE4u8/видео.html
@@MrSaxonWolfcock With the pond directly behind you and looking towards the middle of the island there is an alcove in the cliff wall. Along the left side there is a grassy incline that looks impossable to climb but is actually really easy to walk up with a jump or two. From the top move right and follow the cliff wall, its rocky up there but Ive not had a problem moving around. You are looking for a dark patch that looks like a cooled lava patch, it will be walkable up to the top area. At the top, near the first archway you will find very large metal nodes
don't forget fungal wood locations. I have only seen one video actually show were they are and the cliff platforms are so good on this map so I think you guys need to point this out. Also the blood hallow in surprisingly good starting point as a west zone were the red crystal is in the center of a pond. It's generally safe. In the crystal shallows there are also the occasional capro, sarco, and berries to worry about but after you tame a few they become manageable. I now hunt sarcos for hid when I'm running low. Still have to get one of the many wyverns in the area.
That is an excellent suggestion! We have more guides to make on Crystal Isles (Still!) but life got pretty crazy in 2020 so we're still catching up. Do you happen to have the coordinates of your favorite spot for fungal wood? I may be able to add that in a guide :)
@@ArkSurvivalGuide Yah and what's better is that I have a huge water pen that's deep enough for the lisicthus to spawn in out back! It also leads to a lot of rivers that connect to the swamps and the savanna zone with only a little swimming if you hug the left cliff. I just got lucky and spawned one time in it and set it up as my base. Not regretting it so far other then my use of the space was a little poorly planed out. I even tamed brontos off of my cliffs. Most of the blood hallow is just a really tall cliff area with swamp land in it but the area I'm in is interesting in that it's not a swamp but more like the sandy beaches area. It calls it the blood hallow though so yah. Anyway the fungal wood is far to the east to the south of the floating inlands. It's a rather large swamp with large trees. You want to be knocking down mushrooms the size of trees from the look of it. I also saw a video of of honey caves in the red woods. However the hives coun't as stone not the typical hives so bring a anky if you want lots of ridiculous honey. If you want cihten it looked like it was ankes or golems that worked best. Hope that helps. Oh I forget the other parts of the blood hallow can have spinose on a regular. I personally have seen four and have tamed two from them and one form the crystal inlands. I sadly got two of them killed. I plan on getting an expendable one before I go out on a spino again. Seriously my place isn't that far from the dragons nest either. Just a short swim in the right place up a hill and there they are. I even found a place with a water spring with in sight of the nest. I saw about 5 to 7 nest the first time I glanced over.
Ahh very cool! Is it somewhere near-ish the spot at about 35 minutes into this video? ruclips.net/video/n-BpCQDze9s/видео.html I've been planning to head to that jungle area and make an outpost on top of one of the highest cliffs on our Crystal Isles Live Let's Play Series pretty soon. @@ChubbyChicken645 I carelessly spawned in the central zone, and if I couldn’t get to the nearest water body because I would’ve died from fall damage if I tried
cool location might move to it honestly but I want to check out another area first. My blood hallow spot though is really good early and late game. It has good access to a lot of area's a lot of metal, obsidian, and a huge water pen out back with some oil in it and I have even seen basalos in there. A shallow pond for breeding frogs and some flat platforms and the red crystals are easy to spot from across the map. You can even get to the dessert nearby and the crystal shallows are just across the river. Honestly it's a great spot. The cliffs even got me too early brontos. They have saved my stuff and my life on many occasions. Spinos surprisingly don't seem to spawn in my little hallow though they do spawn behind me. So that's great too. It's also really easy to get to the savanna. Once I have some tames that can kill basilisk I can even get to the citen terminate hills and gather all the cementing past and citin I will ever need! They are litterally just down the river from me. It's a surprisingly good place, though probably only good for single player because of all the ways in and out, with only a few select areas that are actually flat.
Wow that sounds like an amazing spot! Could you send me the coordinates for that? I hope to get my live let's play Crystal Isles game going again and I'll be looking for more good outposts as we spread out around the map :)
@@ArkSurvivalGuide I'll try to get you the coordinates but I think I described the area pretty well. It's just over the river to the crystal beaches, and fallow the water to savanna in either direction. It has a lot of crystals in the water and the pond is very shallow. The other water pond of note is far deeper but would also make a good base but it's actually in the swamp. There is one more now that I think about it but that one is very high up and hard to get too. It's far easier to stay near the fist pond. I don't do well with combat or unexpected situations so I like to stay in the safest places I can. I really wish the Rock drakes were in the official map as then I could tame the basilisk camping the savanna shores but that's just a minor grip I have.
Thanks for the detailed video bud this will help a lot in a couple days the starter area looks great only problem being it will be a giant free for all to cover land in official servers lol I’m looking forward to it though

If you want chitin for cementing paste, there are tons of beaver spawns on the beach by the swampy forest at the base of the mountain. You can steal hundreds of cementing paste from them already ready to go. There's also dragonflies to kill for chitin and frogs you can tame to chew the bugs down into cementing paste. If you need chitin/keratin as materials, there are lots of Trikes and Turtles you can easily get Keratin from. Hope that helps :)
Yikes!!! There are spinos in some spots closer to the jungles or deserts, but not many towards the ocean side.
